@@paulockenden4278 at least there was video evidence for a penalty the other night, studs high, making contact on the attacker not the ball etc, with all those England misfortunes in the past they were clearly errors with the decisions!
100 per cent. Tbh, I'm fed up with armchair referees rehashing the penalty decision. Long story short - the better team won. End of story.

Yeah and your coach should have been sent off back in the day not on the pitch to score the goal that sent you to the world cup. What goes around comes around we have had enough bad stuff happen to us over the years. About time something went our way. Also it was a pen soft but it was a foul.
The penalty was unfair, the match wasn't. England outplayed them in both halves, the dutch were lucky it wasn't 4 1 tbh
Right. They talk about the penalty but we had 1 goal offside, 1 shot hit the post, beat them in every single stat and metric, it wasn’t a case of “this penalty was the be all end all and decided the game” plus it doesn’t work like “take the penalty off and it was a draw so would have been extra time” they don’t know what would have happened if it wasn’t a penalty, I say we would have scored anyway.
England were the better side in the first half, but the 2nd half was mostly controlled by the Dutch ... in fact I don't think anyone could see a winner coming when it did, it had looked extra time all over.
Every tournament England are on the end of a bad decision, I got no sympathy for anyone at this point

If the reason your team lost is because of a single penalty decision early in the first half, then your team isn’t good enough to go through.

@@maplelafe7671 Second half England went back to its 💩 self. I do think we played the best football we’ve played so far in the first half - although still a lot to be desired. The frustration for us is given the sheer talent in the England squad, if they played cohesively as a team like Spain, they could (and should) comfortably win this tournament. It’s just typical we get to the final on moments of brilliance rather than good football.
Neither team were anything to write home about, but I do believe England deserved the win when you put it all together.

Actually i tipped on forehand England-Germany in the final.
But was shocked by what ive seen in the group fase.

We still dominated the second half too. Just because you had 8 players in goal and it was hard to break through until 89:58 doesn’t mean we still wasn’t dominating.
England had the better of the first half, but but not the second ..... in fact the England winner shocked everyone.
@barryh.4220 The Dutch had about 15min of the second half, that's it. Overall the second half was pretty even.
I think many Dutch fans expected to win prior to the game, but regardless of the penalty decision, got a shock in that first half as they were largely outplayed.
Second half they played on the counter and looked happy to let the game drift into extra time, but Watkins had other ideas.
Re Kanes pen. If you get the ball in the box you’ve always got a chance of something happening.

They have to stop blaming the penalty, it happened in the 17th minute, including injury time they had 80 minutes to change it themselves but Koeman decided that they way to save his team was to have no striker and put 11 men behind the ball, can you imagine it ? the inventors of total football put 11 men behind the ball, they had more than enough time, self reflection is sometimes difficult !

The ref didn’t give the pen boys, VAR gave it.
Incorrect, the referee was told to look at the screen and give his opinion, he could have said, no penalty. But decided to award a contentious penalty instead.

@@muppet64 The ref gets one look, live. The VAR gets multiple looks from multiple angles. If the VAR tells the ref it’s a penalty, he gives a penalty.

It was never a penalty and even our English commentators said it was a disgraceful intervention by VAR. I do think England were better and deserved to win, but not like that.
The Dutch got away with a lot of fouls on the English players in the first half before a studs up knee high challenge on Kane so not sure how this was unfair. England were by far the better team and deserved to go through.

England had been good all if this tournament, whilst the Netherlands came 3rd in the qualifiers group, due to the lost against Austria. I live and born the Netherlands, as me being English I like both teams. But in respect I'm an England fan. Unlucky for the Netherlands, but when it becomes to losing the Dutch are sometimes little kids too me, it's just a game. Where a sack of air just kicked up and down a football pitch, I never take it to seriously. It's more to live than football and players are getting payed millions of pounds / Euros.

I do not know why this channel keeps stairing things up you can all keep talking to the cows come home and nothing will change, the world knows many times over the years England have been hard done by but the results still stood. Some ridiculous decisions in this tournament where inexistent penalties have been given (ENG-NED, GER-DEN) and very clear ones not given (ESP-GER).
