- Vsr-10 Build Series Episode 1
Today we pick a new receiver for our VSR-10 build. The two receivers we will look at are the Action Army Right Hand receiver and the Maple Leaf Tube B receiver.
We purposely give you detailed views on each of the receivers as there is very little info on these two items.
WARNING: When modifying your airsoft rifle or pistols, make sure your fps AND joule rating is within legal limits in EVERY BB WEIGHT, not just 0.2 gram. Example: if your country's maximum joule rating for a semi automatic airsoft rifle is 1 joule, your airsoft rifle must not exceed this rating in ANY BB WEIGHT.
Always adhere to your country's laws, airsoft or other wise and be safe everyone!

I just admire your presentation every time. You seem to always know what we the rest of airsoft community want to know. And your camera work is so professional. Keep up the good work!
Thank you kind sir! ^^

Wow, I remembered the first VSR-10 build you did. Based most of the upgrades I did on my own VSR-10 in that first build you did. Glad to see you're continuing these vids. Keep them up they helped a lot when I started upgrading and purchasing a few parts.
Love these in depth part reviews
A little tip to remove the play in the maple leaf type b it to use the packaging it came in to make a thin strip and then take the guide rings out pop that in and then put the glide rings back on over it and it get rid of about 80 - 90% of the wobble did it on mine and it works great I've tried replacing them with a set of tm ones but the grove they fit in is slightly bigger so it still wobbles around
good channel gave you a sub, great info.
Amazing video
I like how you explain
Give parts examples
Perfect, dont stop
Keep going 👊
Thank you, this helped me a lot to take a decition for my new build. Did you tested the outerbarrel from Maple Leat and AA too? i will build a short rifle with the 150mm Maple Leaf Outer (now with the AA Reciver.
The action army receiver, also has two anies?
May I also suggest a Reliku VSR R receiver. A guy named Reliku on Facebook makes them. It's a one piece receiver and outer barrel combo which eliminates outer barrel wobble. There is also a full cylinder cylinder glide ring that it supplied with it, this covered the entire cylinder. I would give it a look
You also forgot to note that the action army receiver has removable nuts for the stock screws. This is a definite bonus as these can often strip and being replacable is great
We totally love the receivers that you mentioned! Very custom and solves many issues that are present on the original VSR! ^^
@@Adrianisasianwbu
Totally got you covered bro, at the 09:25 mark, huge thanks for the continued support! ^^
@@AirsoftAfterHours No problem :) I'm always interested in new things for my VSR and the fact that you take the time to compare products in detail is great and saves me time a money
Where TF is this guy on FB? Can’t find him anywhere.
I used trigger pdi and cylinder maple leaf can i buy receiver action army, wil it fit
Is this build compatible with Double Bell VSR-10?
So the Maple Leaf receiver does come with built in guide rings?
Sure does! They can be removed though if they aren’t the correct size for your cylinder 🎉
@@AirsoftAfterHoursAh, good. I’m building a VSR-10 entirely from parts, and I have an Action Army fluted cylinder. Hopefully that will fit better than the teflon coated one you used.
@@FS2K4Pilot I just had a quick look at one of my builds with the Action Army twisted/fluted cylinder, its a tiny bit loose, check out the comments in this comment section, a viewer has a good tip on how to make the cylinder and ML rings a better fit, IIRC it involves either a plastic sleeve or manipulating the rings somehow. have fun dude! ^^
Hi there. Could you please tell me where I can find the action army cnc receiver scew nuts from?? can't seem to find them anywhere 😕 thanks.
Hi there, I totally understand your frustration, AA released these receivers with that screw nut piece being a replaceable part but then never released them to the public! at least not to my knowledge. Best bet would be to get in contact directly with Action Army via their email address: actionarmy.tw@gmail.com let us know how you get on my friend ^^
Can i ask if this will fit for Double bell VSR10?
would this Receivers fit a double bell vsr 10?
Can anyone help me with a VSR compatibility question? Is the Maple Lead VSR-10 receiver compatible with the Action Army T10 300mm twisted bull barrel? Also, what adapter do I need in order to use my 14mm- suppressor?
Thank you all for reading and special thanks for those who comment on this and help me!!
Galera deixa eu ver se eu entendi. Os reciever da Action Army são melhores?
Where i can find the white ring? I looked for it every where but i cannot find it (sorry for my bad english)
Francesco Benvenuto
Hi, the cylinder rings are available from a few different places made from different materials and to different tolerances. Here’s a couple of links:
www.bulltrigg.com/product/vsr-10-tpfe-cylinder-guide-rings/
Or
www.skirmshop.nl/en/skirmshop-vsr-cylinder-guide-ring.html (currently out of stock)
Good luck and thanks for watching ^^
@@AirsoftAfterHours thank you a lot
Those action army receiver works for any vsr clone?
Depends on the clone, as each cloned VSR has differences in different areas. Some will no longer fit the cloned barrel, while others will fit but then have spacing issues due to tolerance differences, some will not accept the cloned hop up unit thus forcing you to upgrade it and then have fitment issues with the new barrel.
Some will be a straight swap with zero issues. All depends which clone you have and which company made your clone at which point in time as they are forever changing without notice. 🙂
Do they both come with all the screws? For example the screw locking the receiver to the outer barrel (underneath)? Thanks
Konsta Mattsson
Sorry for late reply, unfortunately both receivers do not come with the screws, luckily Maple Leaf sells the screws alone if you wanna build one from scratch 😊
Thanks for response, I appreciate that. Was thinking about buying one for an old JG BAR-10, that's got a few screws missing
Here is my vsr10 build
Maple leaf reciever
Edgi sap piston
Edgi cylinder, charging handle
Kydex adjustable cheek piece
Aac hop up
Tdc mod
6.01 barrel
70 degree bucking
This is still not finish
This build runs about 400-500 bucks
Im a filipino, i'm sorry for my bad english
Really nice work! The build looks solid, just a small tip: might not need the TDC mod when running the AAC hop up unit as its all centralised. Good work!
@@AirsoftAfterHours in fact I am still planning the tdc mod on my aac hop up but because you said that his performance is ok even without the tdc mod I think I will not continue the tdc mod...
Here is a bad english I just google translate my language to make it easier but the grammar seems to be weird lol
@@migo9625 your English is fine, I understand it perfectly! Yes the TDC mod is not required with the AAC hop up, it has it in centre already 😊
Enjoy the build! It’s the best part of an airsoft rifle 👍🏻
@@AirsoftAfterHours what do you think I need to add to my rifle
@@migo9625
My next purchase would be:
Barrel spacers
Scope rings
Rifle scope
Transparent magazine
New trigger system
🙂
do tokyo marui still build vsr 10?
creamy_ sense
To my knowledge yes, it’s one of their best sellers 🙂
What cylinder do you recommend?
Denver Gonazales
I would suggest going with the cylinder that suits your budget, the Action Army Teflon cylinders have been fantastic for me, but if I wanted to spend a lot more money I would have gone with PDI and all parts that are compatible with the PDI unit 🙂
Oh so pdi is d best
U mean pdi receiver, cylinder, spring? Uhm i thought action army is the best how bout edgi?
This is my build
: Cylinder: action army
: Piston wasp kit v2 and spring guide
: Pdi m150 spring
: Reciever is action army
Note: pls tell me whats better than action army pdi edgi or maple leaf
Denver Gonazales
Your build should be good! The results you will be getting should be consistent I believe. I’m my opinion, PDI has the best quality, but the problem is many of its parts are only compatible with other PDI parts (not all but some). Which means you will be spending a fortune to get everything the same brand. The “best” is subjective, if you can make a rifle that is consistent and accurate to a good range with parts that cost less and lasts long then technically that would be the best as it costs less to build and would be cheaper to repair. Hope this helps 🙂
I’ve never tried EDGI parts iirc
