Does gear matter?

I travel to Thomann in Treppendorf, Germany to find out if gear matters at Gearhead University #tgu18. The answer I'm going with is kinda, but you shouldn't worry about it.
Actually, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I had fun, though.
