  • I recently had the opportunity to ride the Lebanon Hills Regional Park mountain bike trail system in Eagan, MN. This is a killer trail system that is just a small portion of the many trail systems that the Twin Cities areas has to offer. I met with fellow CZcamsr Brian Vaughn for a tour of the trails. There is something for everyone and it even boasted one of the few green trails out there that is exciting to ride! The trails had a variety of rock rollers, jumps, rock gardens, drops, berms and wood features.
    A couple laps of this trail system and you can be properly worked. Let me know what you think of this trail system in the comments! I'll definitely be trying my best to come back and check out the rest of the Twin City area offerings and get up to Duluth as well!
    Check out Brian Vaughn's channel for more of the trails in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

    I am moving to Minnesota soon and am super excited that the mountain biking is really really good. Are there areas that really surprised you with how good the riding is?

      I love lebanon but MORC (same organization responsible for maintaining Lebanon Hills) have recently adopted and improved trails in Battle Creek park St. Paul. Some challenging climbs and gnarlier downhill segments I think you will enjoy with the added benefit of a flowy, feature-heavy trail system called Carver Lake park only like 8 miles away if you want to make a day of it. Cuyuna is the most scenic and massive thing we have going here and Duluth is home to the wildest riding from what I've gathered.

      Chad Frutig awesome! I’m glad this is helpful. I’ve been in Minnesota for just over a week now but haven’t done any filming it riding. It’s a really cool place to live, just not the mountains I’m used to. However, the trails and sheer amount of them is awesome! This place loves to mountain bike!

    Glad this turned out as well as it did. I'm always nervous about showing people from mountain states our trails. They don't have the long rip roaring descents but they do have a lot of fun cool features.

    • @Tkolbo_
      @Tkolbo_  Před 5 lety +4

      I have an appreciation for all trails! I think the roller coaster terrain is so different that it presents its own unique challenges to my style of riding. I found myself unprepared for certain climbs and features because I was in descent mode. The ability to quickly change between a descend to climbing attitude is key and it was fun experiencing that! I am so impressed with the cycling community in the air and how much they care about they riding infrastructure. A+ day in my books!
