I never understood the great Band song "Ophelia" until I heard the ladies' version. Now it instantly brings a tear to my eye. Larkin Poe are the genuine thing.

What I love most about Megan & Rebecca is how they have become torch bearers for great American Roots Music. They particularly excel in the blues style. I have been following them for about 5 years now, and as Rebecca said, they're just continuously improving. If somebody asked me what I think their best album is, I would say their next one. Thank you for this excellent interview, Ms. Kaye. I really enjoyed your insightful questions. 👍👍👍

@@sandykayepresents-abreatho9146 Your best question was about their growing fame. They're students of music history, and through that history know what major stardom can do to artists. I can see that they fear it and don't want to be swallowed up by it and lose the magical things they now enjoy. If they get too big, they'll probably walk away from it to preserve their sanity. They'd be smart enough to do that, and I wouldn't blame them.

Only recently discovered a band of young performers from a while back called themselves 'The Lovell sisters'. Wonderfully talented.

The Lovell sisters have been musicians for the better part of 20 years. Many American military careers are eligible for retirement at 20 years. When Rebecca calls their growing success a slow burn, she’s dead on. They’ve produced so much of their own recordings and it’s helped them establish their own identity, unapologetically.

They are great. As far as the “covers” I’m with Rebecca. Their version of Mama I’m Coming Home is so good.

You can see the sound. Oh, how it moves and surrounds. But I can still hear the gentle cry of yesterday. Coming from somewhere far away. Speaking to me in gentle reminders. How memories become like clock reminders. They still come with the rewinders. Can you see it still. How sound can suggest the will. Playing you like a puppet. On your hands you want to cup it. You can see the sound. Oh, how it moves and surrounds. But I can still hear the gentle cry of yesterday.

Ok, Sandy! Do me a favor, please. Tell them to come to Brasil, to Porto Alegre, precisely. E diga pra que não demorem!
    Thank you.

OK, Guigui's a guitar heroin, I'm convinced she is (sorry, I'm French, I might be mistaken choosing the word heroin stead of hero) but Becca's playing Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, probably Piano (hope you do ^^'D) and percussions sometimes ... and ... well, sings, writes and composes thrilling originals, goose bumps bringers, and also gives us vibrant interpretations of bazillions of mesmerizing tunes from so many artists we all love. Both of you girls are instrumental heros/heroins in my opinion ! I remember reading a French translation or watching a video of an interview you gave to a French medium, a specialized guitar paper or website, or an extract from a radio program (maybe RTL), I don't remember exactly. And you then said Megan was the guitar hero and you, Becca, sort of underestimated your importance as a musician in your own band. You sounded that humble to me. And I couldn't be more disagreeing to such an idea ^^b Both of you are important to your own musical proposition. That only works because you are together !

Thanks for interviewing such great artists! However, if I may… The « bigger families » question made me uncomfortable. Seemed a bit too personal, but most importantly… Would that question ever be asked if the interviewees were male?

I understand where you're coming from and sorry you felt uncomfortable but the fact remains that only women can have babies and I was curious to learn whether these gals were going to factor in having families or not. Unfortunately men don't have to deal with these questions because they don't face the same issues.
