Twin Cities & Western Railroad in Inclement Weather - EMD GP38-2
What started out as a normal evening with possible isolated rain showers turned into a major thunderstorm event over Augusta, MN. We started out in Eden Prairie just south of Tower E-14 for a UP grain empty heading onto the Twin Cities & Western Glencoe Subdivision. Shortly afterwards the TC&W Glencoe Turn closely followed. Our next stop is Engler Blvd in Chaska for another shot of the UP grain train. We then jump to Augusta where a major thunderhead is moving into the area. The Glencoe turn stopped in Augusta just out of site behind the windmill and buildings, either to let the UP train get further ahead or to briefly stop for the storm which did bring some pretty high winds and some hail.
