It's crazy how stuff like that works. I know someone who has an archive of nearly every possible thing from a movie from 1974. Tickets, promotional material, 16mm print, he even got the discarded outtakes nearly 40 years later! Especially at the time, it wasn't common to keep every single thing from production. Stuff just kinda goes places. People make copies and something that was lost, shows up 38 years later in a warehouse. Maybe captain d had connections, but most of the time stuff just shows up somewhere someplace someday.

The movie also made it to USSR, and while in 1970-s yhr Union was making some great youth sci-fi shows, it was no more in 80-s and 90-s. And that movie did hit the spot!

Seriously - at first I was thinking "this is just an excuse to show off his sweet accurate 3d model of the ship, isn't it?" but then he breaks out the other props and interacts with it in water, which... well, I still don't know - did he make 3d props of stop motion models to make a stop motion animation of a 3d model? D:
Clearly, we'll need a Captain Dissolution episode to review his intern's video.
