- We set off in the rain on our annual holiday, this is the first time in 6 months that Natalie and I have had the chance to go on a trip together! We head to the town of Barberton, where we began our journey to the Kingdom of Eswatini border, but the road there would be an incredible journey through epic mountains along the Genesis Route Geo Trail. Beautiful scenery all around. We make our way into Eswatini too make camp at Mthunzi River Camp for our first night of camping. But Obviously I forgot something important, as usual.

We are waiting for you in the new adventure. We are from Italy ....we lived 8 years in South Africa and we are missing this beautiful place.
Wow 😳 😱
Your cinematography & narration is really amazing
I wish I had your skill in capturing my trips
Looks so beautiful. Love the green rolling hills.
Really nice to see the two of you together!
You made me want to adventure around the world, and the cinematic shots were really good. Can't wait for the next part ;) (Subscribed)
Another great episode, looking forward to the next. Safe travels.
I know your pain with the tent poles! Great video and adventure! I can't wait for the next one. I'm really enjoying seeing travels in SA from a local perspective.
This is such a great series.
I own a Suzuki Samurai and one day I'll do something like you do with my Samurai.
It will certainly not be comfortable or done fast but it will be an epic adventure and I'm very much looking forward to it.
Tremendous mate. You’re right about packing it up in the rain 😂. maybe try a little bushcraft to fashion some sticks to hold the awnings out. A nice relaxing task around a campfire 😜
Amazing video bud and as always looking forward to the next one..cheers🍺
Great place. Had alot of fun there with 4x4s
Can’t get enough of these episodes. What an adventure!
There is some lekkker stuff coming!!
Lovely couple, lovely car, lovely scenery. Enjoy the trip guys. Also lol @ 5K rpm on first 😂
Thanks for the exterior shots of the Jimny passing, cause they must be a pain to stop and do while you are going along at a nice pace.
Hahah 👍🏻 it doubles our travel time most of the time 😂
I really enjoy your trips man! 👍😁
doing a great job! keep it up, love to watch your vids here in the USA!
'Lord of the Bloody Rings' - bloody priceless turn of phrase, Boet! If only Peter Jackson had heard you speak before he released his films!
Im in Eswatini. Thanks for showcasing my home
It’s a beautiful country!
Left something behind i feel your pain. I do it almost everytime. The good news is its never the same thing twice
looking forward to this one. I'm from Eswatini.
Citsemabutfo Dlamini it’s such a beautiful country, and people were fantastic and friendly all the way through!!
You guys are awesome
Nice one bud. Keen to see the Kosi Bay trip!
Another great adventure and video.
A shame about the tent poles but we always remember the trips with a bit of adversity, the easy trips are never as memorable 👍
Beautiful
Wow. I can literally feel myself drifting into Swaziland.
Bro. I'm really enjoying your videos. Everything about it made me subscribe and watch at least 8 episodes. Please keep it up. There food looks great as well. PS your jimny rocks!
Haha Thanks Shane :P Im glad you're enjoying it
"I feel like a bit of a goose" - 5:46. 😂
Loved the vid can't wait for the rest of the series mate!
😂
Fantastic filming as usual, magnificent scenery just got to watch this episode & thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast looked so GOOD, I will make that recipe 4 breakfast this weekend. So much looking forward to the next instalment. Best wishes to you and Natalie great to see you both on a tremendous adventure again. Safe travels from Western Australia
Thank you so much for the heartwarming comment Michael! Let us know what you think of the recipe once you've tried it! :)
G'day Adrian. I am a new subscriber from Gold Coast Australia.
I love your videos and what comes through clearly, apart form enjoyment with what you are doing and a good skill set, is a great deal of commonsense (a rare commodity these days) in everything you do regarding Jimny modifications, choice of roof rack, tents etc and where you take it.
It was also nice to see you take the trouble to take Natalie to a 4WD "school" and give her a new set of skills.
Thank you again and happy travels to you both.
Wow Gary, thanks for taking the time to put together such a lovely comment! It is certainly appreciated! I hope to see you around a bit more!
Looking on YT for some reviews of the new Jimny as I'm thinking of replacing my 2006 model and came across you guys. Great vid and looking forward to not only seeing the next one but following and seeing/hearing your views on your Jimny.
roland brooks I’ll be doing a 1 year review on the Jimny soon 👌🏻
what an amazing vedio mhn...
Yeah i was about to say some of those views looked like New Zealand, hopefully you can get some good driving here at some point
Damn that is on my list for when Covid allows international travel again 👍🏻
I can’t believe, rain in South Africa and Sun here in Italy ! Today I ride my bike ( 9^ C ). Hope you have sunny days next time .
Mauro - Bologna - Italy
I woke up to rain almost every day this week! 😂
Wonderful 👌👌 !!.Those mountains are pretty much like the Western Ghats south India 🇮🇳 .Wishes from India ❤️
I wanna watch it now 😩
For the European market.. with a small displacement turbodiesel engine like the Renault K9K of the previous generation, and perhaps an automatic transmission - great for rock crawling - even a simple 4-speed one would do, would be a winner!!
Watching a couple of minutes behind :)
Atleast my first Premiere is done now; and I have figured some nice things out; so what I will do next time is talk about it abit more before the episode! And make the Premiere episode abit longer.
Puedo darle like al vídeo sin verlo por que son todos buenos jaja saludos roam overlanding
The sight of someone using a metal spatula on a non stick pan makes me absolutely cringe! Please get a plastic one 😂😂
Great video! Glad you're exploring our beautiful country. I've lived in SA for so many years, and yet have not seen so many places!
Good video, keep them coming ✌
Thanks bud! Got some nice ones coming up
Watchin your videos are better than watching bad movies.
Checklist! Checklist! Checklist!
I always say I’m going to do it, and then never do! 😂 maybe I’m going to make a video about it
Hahahaha @ 6:41 i love the casual dent you now have on the car, it fits in well 😆
That’s one annoying thing about packing for a long trip, is thinking if you have everything you need!😬
That dent is getting removed this week! The Jimny is going in for panel beating! 😊
Roam Overlanding Nooooo 😥 it adds character!!😆
Sin duda el mejor jimny y más bonito jimny después del mio claro jajajaajja😁😁😁😁
Great video. Love you channel. Love ur Instagram too
I bought a Jeep Compass top Model but i got a 4*2. And now there’s not a single day i don’t regret not getting a 4*4 😢 I could’ve taken that one anywhere... on trips... i envy u man!
Thank you for sharing , looks beautiful location , not so sure if that Jimny is big enough lol .
I will be in Uganda for a self drive safari in February. You have inspired me .
Sounds Epic! Natalie and I want to make it to Uganda one day! It’s on bucket list 🤟🏻
Roam Overlanding I’ve been a few times , love it there . You will love it
Greetings from Russia! Great ride!
Greetings from Greece!
I have had the same pole problem before... so now I store the poles inside the tent.
This is happening from now on too
I either met Natalie today in Pretoria or I absolutely met her doppelganger (down to the black glasses)
Ryno Opperman hahha 😂 well I would be concerned because she was supposed to be at work today! So definitely a doppelgänger 😂
You had to jimny rig something 😎
Awesome videos, wondering how you learned your cinematography? Any chance you could even show a behind the scenes? Cheers mate
Hey bud, I have a video about my journey into filmmaking and photography on my CZcams. But I will also be making a video about the equipment I use and what goes into making my videos
amazing camera work, effects and narrative !!! a little drama make it complete
🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks brother!
Keep them inside the tent when packing away 😁
Bru... and they are STILL in the Garage 😂
Roam Overlanding or under the Seat, under your drawers 😂
Your cinematography is gorgeous... would love to know what equipment you use.. Newly subscribed from Dallas Texas
Thanks! I use a Sony a7iii and a tamron 28-75
Ok..Great
⭐
Good day. Did youbdona suspension upgrade on the Jimny? If so, what did you instal?
Yes it was the Desol 4x4 kit
I noticed you do not use Jimny's navigator and installed a new one: may i ask you why?
Our version of the Jimny doesn’t let us use the onboard navigation.
Have a good folding saw in your kit , such as a SILKY GOMBOY , and cut some thin branches to use as awning annex poles , problem solved
Can you tell us what is the fuel consumption of the Jimny when you are doing this tours.
Hey Martin its usually between 10.5-12.5L/100KM Depending on the wind and hills
Saw you here on Davao, Philippines was it really you?
Definitely not 😱
great videos love from Pakistan 💓
keep it up 👌

Are you guys ever planning to come to Zimbabwe?
Mana Pools, Hwange and Vic falls are all on the bucket list 👌🏻👌🏻
@@RoamOverlanding Best time for Mana is in August-October. Any later and you will definitely get bogged. Also the wildlife is better at that time of year. The road in to mana is a suspension killer. Be prepared to take it slow
👌🏻👌🏻 great advise! I would probably go into Botswana through Pundamatenga into Hwange and then to Mana pools 👌🏻
@@RoamOverlanding if your heading that route after Hwange take your car on the ferry from Binga to Kariba. Then drive Kariba to man pools. Saves you 1250km of driving and is nice and relaxing
@@michaelphilip4423 Awesome! sounds like a major plan! :) Hows the availability of fuel in the area?
Did you two make the weet sweet love in the tent?
The tent needed to properly tested out 😂
@@RoamOverlanding that's my boiiiiii 🏆 do we get a vlog on this also? 😍
@@RoamOverlanding this jimny has the proper suspension for extra's.
Is she the girl from “mr bean”?
Notice a different female friend 🤔 been a while since i watched your channel.
I’ve been with Natalie for a good few months, our first public trip together was about 6 months ago
@@RoamOverlanding Nice work though. We don't get such quality videos in South Africa. Keep it up. Thanks for your service.
