- I am guilty of having a large SLG or small leather goods collection, but do we actually need all of these pouches and toiletries and purses and card holders! Honestly, although i love them, no i don't think you do need all of these. In this video i am sharing with you the only 5 slg's i think you actually do need and will use, getting value for your money and use out of your items. Once I started buying LV SLGs I just couldn’t stop! They are just so good. Now, however, with the terrible price increases I haven’t bought one in over a year, maybe more and don’t plan to. Definitely don’t need to, I have enough to last me forever I’m sure. The only thing I don’t have is a flat card holder, I have a coach one and I could never make it work for me so I use my key pouch instead. The prices of the Pochettes now make me 🤯🤯🤯.

The Key Cle is my everyday wallet/key holder. I can carry the essential cards, some cash and even some coin. My favorite "extra" small pouch is the smallest of the Kiragami set, which I use for all my insurance cards. And with all the price increases, I will look at other designers like YSL for a card holder.
That is a very sensible list of 5. I have all of them. I don’t love carrying a card holder so I’m not willing to spend designer money on one. I have a Micheal kors one that works just fine for when I need one. My favorite slg of all time is the mini pochette. I love using it as a tiny crossbody bag with a chain from dress up your purse. It’s just big enough for a card holder, keys, lipstick and maybe a perfume sample. I love using this way at sporting venues here in the US that don’t allow bags. It’s small enough that I don’t mind wearing it the whole time as I won’t put it down on the ground. I got a preloved one for well under retail, spent a couple hours meticulously cleaning the hardware and just sent it off to LV for a new vachetta tab. Even with the cost of replacing the vachetta, I saved $225 off retail price.

This was such a great video and I totally agree:) As a reformed “slg-a-holic” 😆I used to have way too many and when covid hit I really downsized to what I would use and enjoy. I find these designer slg pieces really sneak up and before you know it they add up to the cost of a couple handbags! By the way, I’m one of the rare people that didn’t like the LV 6 ring key holder because my car key fob was too bulky inside it so I use my cles for keys and fob because it fits better:) Have a great week 💗

Great tips! Some of the more affordable pouch options from designers like Dooney & Bourke can be really handy if the key cles(?) aren't sufficient for your key needs. I have two keyfobs as well as a bunch of keys on my daily keyring so the typical keyholders don't work, but tossing them in a little D&B cosmetic pouch has saved some of my bags from damage.

Yeah,, after watching this video, i really need to control myself from getting more SLGs. Although not that i have a lot but at times can be so tempted and basically i had most of what you had mentioned except the key holder. Generally i dont really put my keys inside the handbag since i do carry a computer bag that i put at the side compartment. So tempted to get a Long full size wallet from LV but i can tell that i hardly will use it but am considering the key holder. Thanks for sharing.

I have a LV 6 key. Worth it's weight in gold. I use it as a wallet if I'm travelling really light. I have a mono eclipse LV card holder that I love. Your card holder is delightful! I have 2 hermes silkin compact and 2 LV multi compact zippys so I can rotate around. I have an ancient LV multi cle, a kipling chinese new year pouch and a couple of coach mini pouches as well. Most useful things on the planet. I use le sportsac pouches in place of the mini pochettes. I do have a pochette accessoire though. I also use a round coin purse to hold my headphones.

@@ameliarosescloset Oh I forgot the 2 Hermes Calvi i use for less used cards... I won't lie I have a black/pomegranite multi card case, a white multi old one similar to a pocket organizer and a crazy daisy fold wallet I keep as art pieces but you can't replace those now so I won't ever retire them.

That's the one thing I have been very sensible with over the years. SLGs - I have one card holder, 2 small wallets, 2 large wallets, 1 key case, 1 small catch all and 1 larger catch all. I have a few large pouch type wash bags but not counting those as they are for travelling etc. The SLGs I have are all LV with the exception of the card holder which is Chanel. My 'collection' is over the last 30 years or so. I have not ever wanted too many SLGs as I am typical for buying something and using it to death every day. I have used my damier ebene key case for well over 25 years every single day. I bought my larger catch all (mini pouchette) about 8 years ago and use that every day unless I have a mini bag. I have only just bought my small catch all (lv key clay) and I love it. no idea why I didn't buy one when they were sensible money. So I totally agree that we don't need an array of items, just key items that we can use on repeat. Shame I don't feel the same way about bags! I used to buy one bag and wear it every day until I could afford another - how times have changed! lol. however, my addiction didn't spread to SLGs.
I think they are so easy to buy, then when you buy a few you realise how much you spent!!
