Does anybody else find it so satisfying to watch her flip that cube?
Littletwinkster AJ IKR
For those struggling with cube alignment of the cubes, it is 100x easier to assemble the cubes first with tape, and then add the photos once assembly is complete. The also prevents you from using the physical photos as the hinges, which will crease them and make them look bad. Great video though!
Tristan Helms, what tape do u use. Cause I need to know
but doesnt it crease the photo regardless if there's tape? Even though this seems more difficult i personally see it as way better results
@@kjackiesung it won't crease the photo because you are cutting it into tiny cubes and glueing each piece onto a separate cube. It looks much cleaner that way.
Can we connect wooden boxes using hinges and screws?? Is that possible?? Because i think that shall make box firm..i wish to make this for my friend as friendship day gift.. please reply asap
@@sumedhasharma6595 You can. Your best bet to reduce any extra space would be to embed the plates into each cube. Even so, the very middle of the hinge would create a small gap. So the spacing would be a bit bigger, but it's possible. I might try that, now that you mention it. Sounds like a fun project.
Great DIY honestly just finished making this for my GF B-day tips for anyone who tries this
-A carpet cutter works as long as the blade is sharp and thin
-A fan helps dry the glue a littler faster
-Make sure you wait for the glue to dry don't rush it
-Print a few copies of your 10 photos in case you have to restart
-Scissors work for trimming the edges although slightly rough
-Follow and rewatch the clips from her vid as needed do exactly as she does and if you missed a cut or didn't understand which side she was saying pay attention to the side she originates from and how that compares to yours
Saturn Reaper I really want to make this for my mum as a Christmas present but the thing is I turned 12 seven days ago and my mum doesn’t have much money so I didn’t really get much money and I don’t think I will be able to buy these things also it’s really confusing! I really want to though! Do you happen to know where I can buy the wood and blade thing for reasonable cheap. I understand this comment is quite old so if you don’t reply I won’t be shocked but it would be quite nice. Thanks again 😁
What's the size of wood cube though?
- It’s_just_jade - you’re adorable
Which type of paper did you use?
Thankyou, I've watched many different puzzle photo cube d.i.y. vids or infinity photo cubes, this is the most straight forward tutorial and easier than the others. Good job.
So cool! That's a lot of planning beforehand! Thanks for sharing ❤

I love your eyeliner. They're so symmetrical 😳💯
I am so glad i watched this before I started trying to make one - THANK YOU!
This is awesome. I'm not a very artistic person but this is something I can do since I like giving gifts that I made myself.
Wow beautiful I'm a fan from now on 💕💕💕
Clear concise instructions on video....definitely a keeper for doing for or with kids. Might be fiddly, definitely make sure you can re-use bricks if you screw up. Recommend vid !

I had it for my project and my teacher chose this video and sent it to us. Thanks!
That IS Adorable!TYFS!!!
I'm in the process of making these for all of my family members, that's 19 people + I'm gonna make one for myself. I ended up watching a similar video about this same project; where they taped the cubes together before adding the photos. This helped me a lot and it gives you a much better idea of where to cut. I bought the blocks on Amazon. I used Photoshop to crop and size the photos then, Illustrator to layout multiple photos on one page for printing. I went to art school, so I have a cutting mat, ruler (for straight cutting) and an xacto knife. I miscalculated how much glue I had, all I had was a glue stick and the glue dried before it even had a chance to stick to anything, plus I ran out pretty fast. That's when I went to Fry's to get more and saw they had rubber cement. I realized I still had some at home (art school again) I bought a bottle and was surprised how well it worked. You see rubber cement is meant to be used dry on dry so no need to wait for it to dry. Plus it's rubber so if you make a mistake or it gets in places its not needed it's easy to rub off.
This is the video the tapes the blocks together before adding the photos. czcams.com/video/TRGMjzMuCA0/video.html
You rock, merry christmas :)
Great video and instructions!
Woow. I'm so doing this. thanks for the tutorial.. keep up the hard work. .. and Mary Christmas :)
You're so welcome! Thanks for checking my video out! 💚 Merry Christmas!!
I watched a lot of these Magic Cube videos and yours is the best! Thank you so much :-) did you think of using Modge Podge? I think that would rock!
Dude you're so talented why the hell.
And pretty haha
You are so talented and cute! ♥
Thanks! 💚
Hi. Great video tutorial. I will be building one of these!
I am wondering if it may he a good idea to do a coat of ink jet fixative spray to improve the durability. Any comments are appreciated.
i love this so muchhh
awsome gift
Brilliant!!!!❤️❤️❤️
This is lovely!!!
What an amazing thing to do for a gift.
I have a question plz. I didn't get tacky glue/silli glue in any shop/online store.
Could u plz recommend which other glue can be used to stick the printing paper (with pictures)on wood?
This was a cool idea.
I ordered blocks on amazon but they were not all cut perfectly the same but I tried it anyways and I used glossy stock paper so that it looks nicer. I messed up on both parts because I could not see where the lines were on the block I had to poke it flighty to find the line and since the cubes did not align perfectly the lines weren’t straight. Plus I used too much glue. So I tried it again but went to Home Depot and the cubes cut perfectly the same sizes and printed it out on regular printer paper at fedex office so I get a nicer color. I brushed a little glue on them like you did and it worked!
that's tooo cool!
So cool
I've always wanted to make one of these! Very helpful (USA)
THIS IS AMAZING I am going to make this for my boyfriend xx
It’s Merry Christmas 🎁!!!!!!
😂 I love you aaand the string lights.
Hahah, thanks!! 💚 Hopefully next year I remember to get more string lights ;)
Love it!!!!!
Oh my goodness Rachael, that looks like so much fun and it’s so unique! 💞 Unfortunately I’m still trying to solve my Rubik’s Cube from 1980! You’re laughing but I’m serious. I’m definitely going to attempt to make one (or more) of your fabulous Photo Cubes! I only have one question; Is there any particular type of paper that you would recommend? I have Card Stock of different weights and Photographic Paper (Glossy and Matt).
Thank you very much for another wonderful video. 💞👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi, I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I wanted to say thank you for a great video. I thought it was easy to follow and fun to make. Sadly, the cubes I've made don't close very well. Did you glue all cubes flush with each other or with a little, tiny space to make it easier to cut through with the exacto knife? It's the only thing that was unclear and I think would make a difference...
this was sooo helpful!! i’m making one for my friend, of course it looks shitty the first time but i’ll get better lol! ty
I'm glad it was helpful! I'm sure your friend will love it!
nice 😍 nice loved it
TIP YOU NEED!!!!!!!!:
Let the glue COMPLETELY DRY! Or else, like mine, the photos will rip and come off!! Please let it dry for an amazing product!
Barfy Unicorn yeah I agree u really need to let it dry
Lovely :) thank you for sharing
this is the best thing in the world
Aw, thank you! 💚
I’ve done this twice some here’s some helpful tips
. Seal with mode podge cause the corners peel
.be berry gentle it’s really fragile
.LET THE GLUE DRY!!! I was very impatient so i didn’t let it dry so it became soggy and rips the paper
.do not glide when cutting across because it rips the paper on the side, instead stab it in and out
. If confused about cutting draw it out step by step
. Don’t use a lot of glue
Can u please tell me where would u took photos either print or something else moreover where did that cubes available
I already one for my sister's birthday, it was kind of messy but its really cool
This blew my mind
Awesome!
Very pleasant to listen to ypur voice. But how many times can u fold regular paper like that before it breaks?
Love it
That's awesome
wow cool !
Nice it is very différent According to other photo frame😁☕
Can u plzz add the accurate size of those wooden block!!!
Wow!
Love it!
Would you recommend using UHU so that the pics do not fall?
omg it's explained so easily i thought this was like rocket science when i saw it on pinterest
Lol!! Mee too
Hey! should I use a laser printer or an ink jet printer to print out the photos?
This is the only video I've seen where someone knows where to point on the screen towards a link the viewers can see
Love the demo I have always wondered how to do this.
this is so cool and i would like to make this but it really seems sooooo hard
+chezlin Hi! I'm not sure if you'll see this comment, but I wanted to let you know that I ended up making this project the day before Christmas for my parents. They did end up really liking it, but it was kind of a struggle to make. I had to go to 3 different stores, and none of them had wood cubes. I got really lucky because I went to Joannes fabrics last, and just as I was about to give up on the idea I decided to go to the Dollar Tree next door to it, and I found some children's building blocks there! Anyways, I used modpodge to glue the pictures on & it worked alright. I also put some on top of the pictures as well because I wanted to seal them, and it worked alright, but made it a bit harder to cut through. I thought most of your instructions were pretty good, but I did end up messing up & cutting the wrong part at the end with the last 2 pictures. I thought the instructions were a little vague at 4:58 I wasn't sure which side you were talking about, and I cut the opposite of what I should have. I was really frustrated & at the point of tears that the hours of shopping & work I put into this were ruined, and my mom ended up coming in & asking if I was ok. She encouraged me to keep trying, and even though it wasn't a surprise anymore, I decided to try & fix it. I ended up taping the parts I cut together & it worked! They really liked it when I presented the finished product & were surprised with how the cube worked. Thanks so much for the diy! It ended up being a great present!
I'm so glad you stuck with it. This is some solid feedback for Rachel and a great story. I'm glad your parents really liked the end result. I've seen Rachel get that frustrated about projects before especially using a technique or processes she's never done before. I think we all get that way and it's important to push through and finish. Congrats! :) Happy New Year!
I'm glad to see that you were able to work through it and finished the project! Sorry it was confusing at that one point D: I'll see what I can do to try to make it a bit clearer for people in the future. Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad your parents loved it as well!! :D ❤️
FangirlAlice hey how did u fix it coz I'm facing the same issue of cutting the edges, and it's spoiling the pictures :'(
I don’t understand how the cubes stay together
She's using the photos as hinges. They are what keep the whole thing together.
Nancy :b i don’t get it either!! I don’t think it would be very durable...there are easier tutorials on you tube than this...the cutting confused me!!!
Some questions plz
1. Do use normal printing paper for this?
2. What glue do you use to stick pictures to wood?
3. Can we use mod podge to seal the pictures so they don't come off after some time?
Cool
in other videos it says to use tape, so should i use tape to hold the blocks together and make it more durable?
It's REALLY cool but can we draw on it?
I want to do this as a gift to my best friend for christmas
Can i use 25mm size cube to make one? Also do advise to use board paper ?
This is so long after the video, and I’m sure it was answered, but… what size cubes did you purchase? I didn’t hear it in the video, and I’m trying to figure out the sizing. Thank you!
The first time u pull apart the pictures, is it suppose to pull apart to have 2 separate parts or is it all supposed to be connected?
How long did it take for your glue to dry before you cut the photos?🤔🤔😀
I love this gift so much. I want to make one but I am unsure how to do it. In your video you use wood cubes and regular paper with glue. I'm afraid that the only thing holding the cube together is a few pieces of paper. Do you think that your way of making this photo cube is sturdy? Please help me with this. Thanks
I used tape first that holds in together. Probably use a strong tape (I actually used medical tape) and you'll be fine as long as kids aren't chucking it around.
Great Cube you are so creative but unfortunately I couldn't make it
Please let me know that from where i can have the cubes.. of same size especially..
I have a question. If I transfer the photos to the bricks (by putting glue on the bricks, then putting the photos upside down and then spraying it with alcohol/water) do I get the same result? Or it just works with printed photos? I’m asking because the way it should be cut
ooooOoo very cool
your diys are always so fuckin good wtf
im saving all of her diys for future gifts :3
