Sue them for their pension. Not tax payer money.

I hate the rally cry to take people's pension. If you did a bad job at your job, even horrificly bad like these officers did, and then there were people clambering for your 401k to be given to your company to pay for a lawsuit...that's not a good system. It is beyond horrifying how bad the officers were that day and they should face criminal charges in my opinion but it's wild to think someone else has a claim on another person's life's savings

@@danielspicer2441your analogy makes no sense. If you did a horrifically bad job in some other field, tax payers wouldn’t be burdened with the results of your incompetence. You can talk all day about what should happen to the officers, but there will be no criminal penalties for them. So they should be held civilly liable and made to pay whatever a court determines is appropriate. Furthermore, it’s hard to argue they’ve earned their pensions after they failed abysmally in their mission to keep the public safe.

If you drive a truck for 30 years successfully and then you cause a 50 car pile-up on the highway should you have everything you've built up for your career taken from you from one bad day? I just don't agree with that. Sue the truck company, not the employee. Why is it any different for government employees?

Good for you in this pursuit. I don’t normally make comments against our law enforcement but am making an exception in this case. The unpreparedness of this agency, the absolute cowardice of some of the entitled men in this agency was appallingly apparent. My prayers are with you. Good Luck in this endeavor.

Glad to know the complete incompetence, bordering on complicity, that the huge number (376!) of armed police exhibited on that day is being revealed in court! Those officials who participated in the lies and coverup afterward must be held to account as well.

  • @SixStringHarmonies
    @SixStringHarmonies Před 23 dny +1

If there were 376 people of ANY OTHER PROFESSION outside that school that day, they would have charged in immediately.
If there were 376 bus drivers, nurses, sanitation workers, mail carriers, architects or you-name-it, they would have been inside that school in a second. They could even take 10 seconds to formulate a plan and execute as a group.
ONLY POLICE don't go in that building. That is the new paradigm we're allowing in the US.
Even our soldiers in the Armed Services aren't babied like these modern American police. A group whom just happens to be the most violent, not just globally, but going back through history for quite some time.
Oh, god forbid, we can't have police getting scratched or bruised. That could effect their overtime. Can't have that.
The safety of fully armed, armored, and trained adult officers is apparently paramount; beyond even the safety of helpless children.
This level of failure would not be accepted at any job. None.
Absolutely disgraceful. To think of those kids in there waiting for help to come. Every second lasting a lifetime.
Grotesque failure. The real shame is that the schools will suffer, the poor will suffer because the settlement/judgment will come from taxpayers.
That money should come from the officers, personally. Even their pensions. Oh, yea, cops get pensions - do you? Probably not.
The rich did away with pensions as a commonplace benefit some years ago so they could become billionaires. That's a different story - I digress.

@@chaosking911 law enforcements reaction to this mess was a shame. I was very disappointed with how they responded to this. However, that same group of law enforcement would sit online creating fake online dating profiles to catch “pedos” and act all tough and bad once they spend 4 months phishing the general public for three arrests and call it cracking down on crime. It’s disgusting 🤮 the tax payers pay so much and get so little lol.

Man, you shouldn't have started with it being an honor you should have started with. I shouldn't be here. These people shouldn't have to have me represent them.
This shouldn't have happened but unfortunately precedent and past rulings by the supreme Court multiple times. First win in 1856 the latest being 2005. They agreed multiple times in multiple different cases. Police officers duties do not include protecting the public or the safety.
I say these are horrible rulings because if you ask the general public, what is the police job? most will include, serve and protect They even label that on their cruisers in some city and towns

Love and strength to all the families who suffer from the suppose experts who fail utterly
💔. Dont listen to those who will say that you are sue happy. What they forget is that your families matter. Those leader failed everyone and so blatantly that no can every trust people with power that don't know how to stand up and protect the people in their community. The collected failure show how people like them only wanted power and a pay check for their do very little. They need to clean up their mess and fire and hire those with experience instead of hiring friends or fellow blue brothers who had to quit one police job to another town city and state. Texas is supposed to be great but it turns out they're just like everybody else and all of us need to continue the fight to make sure that things are run mostly on the app-and-app because I know we won't be able to solve the entire problem but it's gotta start somewhere and Texas Arizona even California needs to be cleaned up. This is part of the residue even before Trump was around this was happening and now there's Trump it's blatant let's stop it let's take care of ourselves.

God bless you Uvalde so very sorry you have to go through this and sorry your children didn’t have real hero’s in their time of need. You shouldn’t make children have uniforms for the lack of love and support that was shown them that terrible day let them live and don’t be afraid bc God is with us all and your families are with The Lord who is coming very soon and you will see them shortly. God is a redeeming God and I plead The Blood of Jesus over you all and your situation. God send true hero’s to protect the people of Texas. May God remove those who have no business pretending to be about protecting and serving others and place true protectors and servants of and for the people to fulfill their true roles in Jesus Name so Thank You God Amen
