I love Ken Follett. Pillars changed my reading world and especially turned me into a hardcore fan of historical fiction. I have not read A Place Called Freedom, but I've just ordered a hardcover copy off ebay.
Maybe you should run a bookstore. You can sit on a throne, and people can walk up and ask for book recommendations. I like Follett's rule: "I like the story to turn every 4-6 pages." You weren't that thrilled with his Never novel, right?
I'm glad you said "And Scotland," because I was thinking, when you said this is the number one show in America, AND THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, that sounds like you might need to take it up with Scott Adams, saying similar stuff, in his episodes.
