I've managed to Normal 1cc PoDD once.

Quick tip. In SoEW, if you mash the shoot button instead of holding it, it fires more bullets and kills bosses and enemies faster.
That alone won't carry you through the game (the lack of focus prevents me from having any fun), but it is very useful and got me to my Normal 1CCs of the game.
