This year I am going into it with no house, no job and a head full of dreams and depression. I really want things to be better this year, after so many years of having it hard and having zero support and pretty much no friends. Life hasn’t been easy to me, and I wish it was as simple as just waking up and making it happen. Sometimes life just doesn’t happen and kicks us constantly. Praying this year life is easier for all of us, and maybe we can catch a break and start that dream 💗

From this channel, I got one of the best pieces of advice I've heard; "No one will pay you for something you've never done". Put down the phone until you actually need it, and go get something done. Anything. Finish it. You'll start building momentum if you don't let yourself quit.

I think I needed this video. I feel like there are-or at least have been-a dozen things I feel I’ve been lacking. Been working on this animated series pitch for four years now. My plan has changed a LOT and I’m trying to get more organized this year because my progress would downhill every time I went off script. So I’m 100% trying to plot things out, write a script, story board, all that. But I’m also trying to put less pressure on myself. I’ve paused my CZcams where I usually post my videos so I can make all my videos and post them on a consistent basis. I have voice actors, editors, and musicians now. But all of it hinges on me and admittedly I’m scared. And what’s scaring me and exciting me is that I get talked to like it’s real. Like I could accomplish my goal. Not used to that. But I’m shooting for those advantages and I’m getting there. Sorry for the drawn out comment. I really appreciate your videos.
Edit: I don’t know why, but it’s weirdly calming to hear that my works could get my name out there even after my life time. I don’t know. I always feel the need to rush rush rush in my life time to get where I want to go. But I’ll die some day and my works will hopefully not follow me to the grave.

When Ms Alexander said, "oh, I wish I had gone to law school, . . . " it brought something to mind that I always told my students: whatever career you start by age 40 you will be doing for the better part of three decades. That puts age and time in perspective. The comments about the lesson of history, about taking a lighter, more curious, experimental approach, and about uncovering one's inner voice were brilliant, too.
P. S. The funny thing about going back to school later in life is that while it is emotionally more challenging in some ways, it is easier in others, and it's a good way to rejuvenate. I'm not kidding. Doing something young people do will shift your own perspective. You'll adjust your outlook to a younger way of seeing the world, and it will also show in your face, your walk.

I liked her POV bc I agree and I’d say if you are being who you truly are how could you not be happy?? Pretty is relative but passion for what you do and the joy that it brings is infectious that’s what people are attracted to and that comes from being authentic to who you are, no matter what.

Not that I am disagreeing with her, but from her own personal examples, it doesn't necessarily differ from the direction that existed before the pandemic. And as far as "failure", experiences in life aren't failures when one stays persistent and begrudgingly patient to his/her/thier goals, IMO.
This channel always gives me a breath of fresh air. My goal for this year is to make a short film.
