My parents immigrated to Canada from Pakistan in the 80s. I was born and raised in Toronto where my mother fed me Pakistani dishes each and every day. I always wondered, how good is the cuisine from Pakistan in comparison to what I grew up eating?
I can't wait to share this trip with ya'll. More episodes of each city will be uploaded soon. Stay tuned.

IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!! As a white American who grew up in the suburbs and didn’t have much exposure to Asian cuisine (other than a little bit of Korean), I’ve recently become fascinated with other cuisines and I’m excited to learn new things!
Happy too see your excitement!
👍
Remember to drive in Karachi you have to be a super proffesinal driver
Wow an American who actually knows that Asia is more than just Korea, China and Japan 😂
You mentioned Friday prayer. I was always afraid to ask you, but are muslim? I am a muslim too, although I converted after I read the Quran. It truly was the best decision of my life.
Oh yeah he is Muslim
Alhamdulillah brother welcome to the big family

I absolutely love this. Pakistan really needs exposure like this. My absolute favorite place to be.
Which area is your favourite?
@@GoldenGully I grew up in Islamabad so F-10 (a sector in the city) will always have a soft place in my heart. But Lahore is just drop dead gorgeous. There are restaurants overlooking Badshahi Mosque and that is nothing short of magical. I think the Restaurant I am thinking of is called Haveli.
Omg its starman

As an Indian, it is my dream to visit the beautiful Hunza Valley and also the birth place of my grandfather - Mardan KPK. My father wishes to meet his uncles and other family one day. I hope it happens in nearby future.
I've been to Srinagar and this video brings back all those memories. ...Kashmir is beautiful ... ❤❤❤
Great video Golden Gully 💯
Foret it bro. We don't get issued tourist visa to travel there, and Pakistanis don't get it either to visit here

@@GoldenGully I'm an American citizen so visiting Pakistan wouldn't be difficult for me.. my only issue is I can speak Hindi/Urdu fine but I can't read Urdu (and barely read Hindi)... Can I still navigate Pakistan, especially Sindh (want to see Mohenjo Daro) and Gilgit Baltistan? Are there enough English signs lmao ?

nothing defeats the feeling of being an overseas pakistani and going back to your hometown after so many years abroad (abbottabad in my case).
Ooh what's your fav dish from back home?
I've been to Abbotabad a few times. It's lovely! My mamoo used to live there so we always had a place to stay while exploring the area. Simla pahaar, the rivers and I remember on our way home to Islamabad we would buy cherries and eat them all the way back! Good times!

Great episode! I can’t wait for future videos in this series. I live in the US but when I went to Pakistan last year (I’m Pakistani btw), it was amazing. I can’t wait to see the Hunza video, that’s where I’m going on my next trip to Pakistan. I’m a Sikh and mom’s side is from Peshawar before partition. Last year we became the first in the family to visit Pakistan since the 1940s. It was amazing! Everyone was so incredibly nice to us and treated us like family. We’re vegetarian, which limited our street food options to chaat, so I’ll have to live vicariously through you. Anyway, enjoy the trip, it’s totally worth it!
Literally every part of my body wants to see this series everyday. Everything is just so beautiful in Pakistan. I also cant wait for Lahore
If its Pakistan then riding a CD70 or 125 is must. 🇵🇰

Oh man! Times were good back then
I remember passing Naran 3:23
I even remember having breakfast in moon restaurant and sitting on manji there (desi woven bed) 3:50
I remember having to stop at Kiwai waterfall (the place having manjis in flowing water) because I had to pee, though i felt the place was overhyped 9:30
I went to hunza and then khunjerab (china border)
It was fun as it must have been for you :)
