Is it just me or does every bass Charles play sound close to the same. Best tone ever. Would love to know the setup on how you get this kind of tone. I went ahead and ordered the CB-4. Should have it in a few weeks. Looking forwad to it. - Surprised you did not include a Hipshot Xtender ont his. I will be adding one. - Again, Please make a video on your setup, recording gear, etc. That would be priceless. Thanks!
He actually has done that. He uses a compressor and a tiny bit of reverb, but that's about it. Levels are set with the Highs boosted pretty high to get crisp sound for tapping, mids are boosted significantly as well, lows about halfway

To see a SCHECTER bass made to Charles’ specifications then hit this price point makes it probably the ONLY bass of this price that I would consider buying sight unseen.
For us rightfully cautious musicians, I think that says a lot about this instrument.

I hope Schecter never cheaps out on us by trying to cut corners or anything dumb like that, because right now they are one of the FEW mainstream instrument makers that you can just TRUST for quality.

This is a good bass; I received mine today. I didn’t care for the Ernie ball slinky strings. I switched out with GHS boomers med long scale, tweaked the action btw the bridge set up is genius the only part of it I didn’t like is it is permanent but the quality is there so it’s more a preference. The neck offers a gorgeous amount of playability just a hair better than my streamer stage 2. It is not a bass you have to be rough with to get the sound either. It is very intuitive, and you can get sound playing light medium or hard. It forced me to step back and approach my normal playing a little differently. It takes less effort for hammer ons and encourages your fingers to round better than you would normally consider playing. After tweaking the action, I am finding I have to foster my technique a little more carefully. I am not disappointed.
