I love how Joey knows how to play just the minimum needed for the song. With that baritone It’s just the perfect sound when he’s playing quiet and clean (3rd song). Great singing guys!
Not to be a know it all but it’s actually a standard gold top les Paul with p90s but he uses an unusually heavy set of strings tuned down to (I think ) open C
Maybe not a “standard” Les Paul - keep Googling 😉👍

The rest of the session sounds pretty good but I agree the distortion sounds a bit brittle....must be the recording. Joey is a tone master
