Everyone is a physicist until Wendell is in the room.
@The Night he's a lover of all clever stuff
No joke I was just thinking about how smart this guy is. Does anyone know what his degrees, certs or expertises are? Dudes literally a nerd version of Kobe. I must know his ways.
Edit: Annnnd I just realized this was posted 5 days ago. I hate CZcamss subscription and bell notifications never working.
@@tytyterrell Major computer science, minor physics.
Running a business with both hardware support and software development towards enterprise customers. He even tried teaching for a while.
@@tytyterrell short answer many. But I think he has a bio on his forum level1tech I believe if not ask he's a lovely man and seems to be super human for responding to people.
Hahaha, love the way this edited together! Thanks for coming out and teaching us about the new server setup! Works great!
Autumn has done quite a few videos so beautifully edited by now, with a good touch of humor and like on the races with "good pace". It's good to see Gamers Nexus growing from the tinny room to the first rented place and then to the new one bigger and so on.
Your in depth analysis videos are so needed Steve.
Thank you from Chiapas MEXICO, and if you or any of your crew visit Chiapas some day contact me and I will give you some good organic coffee to bring back to your GN quarters, and it's on me, free for all of you.
Thank you again Steve
Bummer that the x570 metro poster is no longer avail. Look forward to an X670 version.
Love office tours. Cross creator (platform) videos are great. Keep up all the fantastic work and your ability to make things not only understandable but extremely entertaining.
If Wendell isn't mopping a floor in the intro to your video with him after that joke, you have clearly done something wrong. 🤣
Felt like a pretty natural and semi-realistic look at you guys hanging out!
Wendell is a national treasure. Coming out of hiding behind multiple monitors to show us his true personality. Absolute gold.
Ah, the old "viking through the letterbox" days.
Yep, followed Wendell from his previous "channel that shall not be named". Love this guy and his vibe.
@@GeminiWoods Wendell was the reason I even watched the old channel, the dude is seriously amazing. Does things for the sake of doing them, because he thought it should be possible.
Wait….is Wendell the nutcase that had like six monitors in front all of the time and all you could see was his eyes?
That was just plain dumb.
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason It was a skit pulled from the TV show Home Improvement. Tim's neighbor, Wilson would talk to him over his fence but you never saw his whole face through the entire series until the last episode aired. Gives him an air of mystery.
Wendell is a kid in a candy store and I absolutely love it.
That's what I thought too! I was waiting for the chocolate river.
@@Hypn0s2 he seems like he's such a nice guy
As an awkward, introverted nerd seeing Steve and Wendell interact reminds me so much of the interactions between me and my college friends. It's so painfully awkward in the absolute best way and only in that way that two nerd friends can be together: Just two dudes talking tech. This is why I subscribe to both of your content.
Narrator: today we managed to capture a Wendell in his natural habitat, observe how playful and happy he is
legit would watch you two talk about tables, benches, and cast-off equipment for the whole video.
nice camera work and editing too
oh yes, I'd watch an hour of them giggling around
Agreed! I want to know what they use and why! It's the same type of thing as the office chair review!
I need a Netflix weekly series with these two as the main characters. PLEASE! Humor, good vibes and happiness would ensue!
overlyclocked
And there are a ton of people that can be guests.
I dont even have Netflix and would love having that show!
Yes!!
We now know Wendell is 96U tall
FTW-The day that Portal points are Server Racks, or 1970's phone booths (not Futurama edition)
always cool seeing you guys collab
YT reports you made this comment two weeks ago.
Hehe, you can clearly see that "the fan machine" is Steve's pride an joy, the "OK" he said and he was so excited and quick to move upstairs that Wendell almost couldn't finish the question :)
I hope you got more shots of "Back to you, Steve" that never fails to make me smile.
And now for our next featured presentation: L1techs office with all the trimmings. I suspect that Steve's office is meant for generating content, but I'm willing to bet Wendell's dark cave is meant for fighting the darkest timeline. Let us see!
Of course Wendel has already been around the office he travels via fiber and Ethernet but only to places he's invited obviously.
The mood change in the art gallery was fantastic
Level 1 Wendell is Tech Doctor Who, he travels in a server rack and you can hear him by the sound of the fans spinning, despite no fans can be seen
My two favourite tech channels! 🔥🔥🔥 love you guys!
Wendell & Steve collabs are always the best!
Wendell is the best but steve is a shore loser. Who tries to sell his low-quality merch by bashing top quality ltt merch lol.
Oh damn that brings back memories, one of my first tasks of my career was writing software for "ancient" (80s and 90s) oscillisopes. Now these ones you showed are actually ancient. Brilliant!
Suggestion: Latency testing of PCIe devices on the daisy-chained X670 chipset southbridges.
Every L1 + GN collab video just has me smiling like crazy the whole time. 😊
same lmao
Lol that was a great intro Wendell! :D
Hahaha! the face Steve makes when Wendell uses the DIY cold fusion analogy is probably the nicest, funniest way to let someone know when they've gone too far trying to get a point across... Love it.
ROFLMAO the art spot was hilarious
Steve seems alot less stressed and annoyed at the industry lately I'm glad.
In the wizarding world, evidently computer focused wizards use server racks instead of fireplaces.
L1T & GN: THANKS for the quick and unexpected laugh!! Almost spilled my Bourbon! You guys are great, keep up the good work!
That Simpsons cut! 🤣 omg that made my day. Thank you for this.
Nosferatu intro, ties into the NASferatu server build from a long time ago. Glad I noticed this.
The video of a $30 power supply that killed your tester needs to be made. Also, thanks steve.
Nice collab video. Big fans of both channels - its always awesome when you work together.
my two favorite tech tubers! great content as always, and HILARIOUS intro!
Steve just completely bewildered /overwhelmed with Wendell explaining his OWN equipment to him while going buckwild on tangents about fusion reactors. xD
Always love the vibe between you and Steve!
what a great chemistry between these two guys. you should do some product reviews together !
Felt good at the beginning when Wendell said that was an “oscilloscope” …. not necessarily a dual-tube one ….. but it felt good getting a one up on Steve from GN 💪👍🥰🤩
The way 2 tech-tubers are star struck by each other is neat
steve is always shy, it's so surprising from a guy that is used to talk to a camera. he managed to stay simple and natural despite the popularity.
Two of the best content creators in the space collab? I love every minute of it
I've been wanting to take one of those old oscilloscopes and turn it into a pc where you could also display on the CRT, but there's one piece of the puzzle missing: the skills.
Iirc, both IBM and HP made computers in this kind of form. Long time ago though. You might find them cheap somewhere.
Also, there’s less knobs than on an oscilloscope
Wendell raising the "Cone of Silence"
Fantastic stuff gents! Steve's effort to genuinely test products with this level of transparency is a wonder for us tech dorks, plus repurposing older useful tech that was destined for waste is a fantastic thing. Wendell appreciating everything along the way is just delightful.
Still hilarious Steve's stuck with the Gamer's Nexus company name.
I do like when you two get together. Quite different primary interests/expertise but the overlapping areas are just about right.
A shame you're not geographically closer, could collab on many projects to create some awesome content pieces.
man this channel should be on the million subs already... Wendell is a master class human being.
Thanks, I've not seen a tour of GN's new location. Good fortune to you both.
i love this so much, yall are great
That double Futurama refrences are golden. Wendells detailed comparison, and both Steves face during that AND Frys answer after
Hahaha I love it, two of my favorite channels together again!
Wendell is one of the top humans on this planet
I can never get enough of Wendell
Love your collaborations, excellent content and really enjoyable to watch.
I love these videos. It's like two Gods of Tech meet, every single time
Got to love Wendell
I love to see you both interacting.
Pentium Pro! I'm always looking for that box in your set! I was so happy when I got mine, not at launch and only the 256KB L2 cache version, but it was awesome to have a 200Mhz CPU before Windows 95 was released... not many young persons know that current Intel CPUs are way more related to that CPU than to the Pentium 4.
Yup. Intel left turned and went Pentium II. I was a owner and proud proponent of it at the time. I mean, they were giving away Pentium Pros for nothing to make room for the II. I still envied people who had a dual Pro motherboard and the larger cache models.
@@Hypn0s2 years later when they released the Pentium-II Overdrive for socket 8 I already had a PII 300, damnit... On a motherboard that only was capable of 66MHz FSB, it kind of burned me a little too much so in my next build I banned Intel and went with a Slot-A Athlon.
Such a great tour, and to see two professionals genuinely showing respect and admiration for the other is really refreshing.
When do we get to see the videos about workstation furniture?!
you guys are awesome! keep it up!
Love the tour!!
wait that subway chip map is friggen cool, gotta pick up one of those for sure
Priceless smirk trying to do that bit 😂
Wendel would be a great college professor, or better yet a high school teacher. Just bursting with energy and knowledge
I discovered this channel through the last GN server build collab, so it's great to see more new stuff from your channels together. Thanks Steve.
So hear me out: Little Monsters (1989) rules, except instead of beds, it's server rack portals. Wendell can travel anywhere, as long as there's a server rack for him to step out of.
Last time Wendell came through my server rack was when I had a DDoss issue, don't get a server rack if you're not ready for it
Me when I've had a look at shit like that already, I just gotta turn the nobs again
I absolutely love this! My favorite collabs is level1 and gamers nexus!
The summoning of Wendell remains one of my most favourite moments of any tech youtube video ever.
This is amazing proof that outsourcing works. Thank you GN Extras :D
"You haven't found the zen bench yet" "there is two ryzen benches over there"
Underrated
Doctor Who has the TARDIS, Dr. Wendell has the RACK.
You guys were worried that this video would be boring. I liked it pretty good.
I actually love these videos with you two.
0:28 "No, not him!" - Still makes me laugh 😄
thanks for everything you do ! wendell rocks too
Wendell talking Farnsworth made my week and reminded me of when I was looking up a bunch of stuff on him. :D
Wendell is funny fellow!
so rad seeing gn and l1 together!
That Steve face when Wendell is talking fusion reactor is the best part. LOL.
Autumn you did it again, masterfully edited. Greetings to Ryan, Kristah and Wendell from Chiapas MEXICO. Remember good coffee and tea are waiting for you all if you ever visit CHIAPAS and it's on me. Thanks for the video.
I replied to the other comment since I think more people will see that one, but I also wanted to reply here as well. This video was edited by Grant!
@@Level1Techs I replied to the other comment, please Autumn, tell Grant I'm sorry and that I look forward for more FPGA videos and fun editing from both of you.
I'd like to apologize for my bad grammar and English skills, it's just that I'm not a native English speaker but I keep on improving.
Greetings and salutations from CHIAPAS México.
So Wendel is like Harry Potter with the flu powder and those fireplaces but with server cabinets?
So happy you guys collaborated! A lot of my friends think this stuff is boring and it probably is, but whatever. Grade A content from both channels!
Love the My life for Auir Cutaway
I loved Wendell back in the day on tech syndicate, its really cool to see him branch off and make more linux stuff, it helped me dip my toes into the command line when I started my SE degree.
so much fun to watch two tallied people talk about things they love. and always enjoyable seeing Wendall unleash he's genius around the unexpected.
That intro... gold!
Cool walk through of gamers nexus HQ. side note: but very unusual this video isn't hosted on their channel also
Love the APC netshelter!
So we're just ignoring the PS5 in the middle of the room? I'm cool with it if you guys are, just making sure. Such a cool tour Wendell, love these vids!
Nice knuckle crack at 5:15 😂
Nice. I love the both of you!
What an amazing tour and video. I felt like watching my old computer tech teacher gone wild.
I am also a fan of benches and desks so I welcome the discussion!
Banging hihats on the background 🥁
Tech Dumbledore met Tech Jesus.
I'd *LOVE* to see some collab content between Level1 & GN
The teleporting server closet! Of course Wendell has access to that fast travel point
I love the idea of summoning Wendell with some ritual requiring the sacrifice of like a mobo with a parallel port and mismatched 16 GB sticks of ddr4 and he explodes from the nearest rack in a fit of rage to stop the heresy.
Love this. Please do more
nice people talking about interesting stuff IMO.. good work!
I love how Wendell gets so happy and giggly like a small genius child over obscure machines and tech. So fun to watch
There is a front door 🤣
I have a Variac for my guitar Amps for uh... The "sound" of science. Great tool for musicians and studio engineers if you live with +220 V in your wall socket.
Just found this channel and it is great.
Ty and stay safe
