The G macro keys are back lit. I got the same keyboard with the blue switches, you just have to record a Macro on them.

Are the side rgb strips customizable
Spent hours researching and comparing mechanical keyboards as I was due for an upgrade. I previously owned a Razer Lycosa mirror addition that I wasn't really found of but used it for 10 years.
After all the research I decided to purchase this keyboard I am blown away at the level of quality and amazed at the overall design!
I got the optical brown switches and I love typing on this keyboard! They don't have the high pitched clicky sound the blue switches deliver, the RBB lighting is stunning and the build quality feels premium!
I recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a premium device but on a budget.

@@lucutes2936 I did, i still use it, but i got into custom keyboards right after I got it so I built my own and used that one for the longest time. but yes the k580 is great. i stopped liking its sound and noticing the hissing (like when you smash a button especially the spacebar) only after I got into custom keebs so that's probably not gonna be a problem for you.

Hi! Great video, I really liked it. But I have a question, do you recommend this switches for a person that mostly will do coding and some gaming? I can't decide between this VATA PRO vs YAMA (with Outemu Purple switches). I like the compact size of the VATA better but I like the font used on the YAMA better than this one. But my major concern is about the switches. I've never had a mechanical keyboard, so I don't know which one will suit me the best. I like the sound of both but I've read that those optical brown switches "activate" by just looking at them and those purple are really hard to press. So, I don't know which one to choose :(.
This may be a little late, but I got the Yama with the purple switches, and going from Razer Greens to those didn't feel horrible. I actually think reds feel heavier than the purples, but that's just me.

What's the real difference between optical and mechanical, some people say optical are tricky to press... I'm asking before deciding, I'm between Yama k550 and this one

Hey man, Im searching for a keyboard and really liked this one. By ur experience, how big is the difference to this one and a brown switch keyboard in matter of sound?
I might be late but Brown switch are "silent" type of Blue, you like the Tactile feel of Blue but doesn't want to awake your family/ room mate etc. Brown is your best friend :D.

Insanely unlucky for me
I just bought the redragon k587 pro with optical blue switches and i want to swap the wasd keys with red and black one but i can't take out the switch from the keyboard. The lower side clip comes out with the switch puller but the upper clip doesn't come out on any switch. Can you make a video on how to swap redragon optical switches?

4:56 Is the rgb not that bright? Only side rgb looks bright but key rgb looks so dim
Their website says the caps are ABS, not PBT. Also, why does the sound quality drop so drastically for the sound test? That's where we need clean sound. In my experience with the K580 Vata, the sound has a dissonant ring when each key tops out that sounds pretty bad, IMO; not sure if the Pro sounds different, but I doubt it would.
would you recommend this keyboard over the k552 keyboard?

I can't decide between the k580 pro with optical brown switch or the womier k87 with red switch. Can anyone help me please? Like which one would be the better option? is one better quality then the other or anything like that?
Is this keyboard reliable for long run? As i have seen many reviews of people saying some had issues with rgb. and some say the volume scroll started to malfunction. Did you face any such issue. Should i go for this keyboard?
I would go with Royal Kludge more than Redragon tbh. Their products are more reliable than Redragon.

I connect it and on the top left the 3 buttons pop up but it won’t turn on or do anything after that

I would recommend this one as the K530 is genuinely bad and there're tons of better 60% than Redragon. But the downside of this keyboard is: it's only comes with Outemu Blue switch so it's may not be a good choice if you want to use it in quiet environment.
Can I hot-swap these switches with normal outemu mechanical switches?

Unfortunately no, the Optical PCB is different compare to normal mechanical one. So you can replace the switch but only optical one.

Is your amazon link to the brown switch version actually the "pro" version with the optical brown switches? So confused.
Update: the only difference between PRO and VATA is the optical switches, you still get the same RGB customisation on both I think. STILL, he did miss lead us and put the wrong link for Amazon! Lots of people would have loved to have optical switched at this price and the way he was overhyping it in the first place! I hate it when reviewers do this! 😢 Just give us the facts and statistics we need to make our purchase decision and that's enough! Keep it unbias!
VATA told me the Pro version is discontinued too. I went with the blue keys and am quite happy...and they aren't even that much louder than my old Cherry MX Brown keyboard which I hated the "sticky" feel of.

There is another video that has the sound of the brown optical switches but they sound so much worse than your video... I was hesitant to get this keyboard but with the sound I heard from you I'm getting it right now!

K580 pro any day of the week you shouldn't be paying over $40 for a membrane keyboard like the corsair k55

I know I’m late but the link for Amazon isn’t for the Pro. I ended up buying the wrong keyboard, everything is the same Brown switches it’s just not optical. I really wish I could test out what the pro is like though
How do you know they are non-optical. „Pro“ is just the Version with brown switches
@@inaaktiv3267 if you look on the actual site the brown switch version is just that “vata RGB” but if you look at the Pro version it’ll say brown optical switches (which is sold out.) Only reason I’m saying this is because I bought the one from the Amazon link and on the back of the keyboard it doesn’t say Pro.

It does, so long as you are live alone or at least have a personal space for your own to use it since Blue switches are loud af.

This keyboard have hot-swappable feature of Outemu Optical switches so you can replace other optical switches just fine :D.
