It comes in two versions- X5 or D5 that is X-Shaped frame or Dead cat shaped frame.
It is very fast and that is what I want!
It flies amazingly and does tricks very nicely too!

Very cool racing/acrobat drone. Way above my skill level. Between the skill level and the price point, it's something I'll enjoy from a spectator point of view. Looks like a lot of fun to fly though. Thanks for braving the cold to put out another video. It's not getting out of the 50's today in Southern California! That is very, very rare! I can only imagine how cold you are up there! Cheers!

Ok its going to be 85 degrees for the next week!! Sorry! Butttttt the biggest problem I have is finding an area that there isn't people around. Dog walkers everywhere. You know what most dogs do when they hear a quad spin up!!! Lol don't crash or they will eat your beautiful quad for lunch!!! I have to drive a ways to get to a rural area which I have not done yet! I flew my camera drones over water all the time! Now with fpv, I do not trust the quads enough to spend much time over water!!!
Last but not least,, I've been a captain drone follower from the beginning of me fpv journey. You have helped me immensely. You have responded to my emails, when I had an issue I couldn't resolve!! Thank you thank you!! You deserve much success my friend!! Happy flying!!

I got the DJI FPV after viewing Captain Drone’s review. Now I would only buy a FPV drone with a single camera that can at least tilt down. Captain can you suggest to these FPV manufacturers to get going on this. Thanks for the review.
It has a shroud because it’s a props-out setup - if you hit something it kicks the dirt/grass into your flight stack (unlike props-in, which kicks it into your camera…)

I'm a camera drone pilot, but I'm getting into FPV, and the one thing I don't understand is why the pilot camera isn't on a simple 1 axis gimbal so that you could change the camera angle and make and make low-speed part of the flight envelope. Yeah, it would add a couple of grams, but it seems it would add a lot to the flying experience.

I have 2 of these. One of them I crashed this week from 10ft high, it tore off the motor wires from the esc and fried the motor, fried esc board also.. It was smoking bad.😫
Between the x5 and the d5 is there one that you would recommend more? Like is there much of a performance difference in acrobatics and maneuvering between the two or is the only really different the propellers being in the camera?
X FRAME means FREESTYLE
D FRAME means FILMING

Nice review. I got a Rekon5 because of your review on it. But I’ve since destroyed it haha. Which 6s motor version would you recommend for this for a heavy GoPro 10 to rip? The 2207 6s or the 2306 6s?
I have only tried the motors in this review, which are the exact same as on the previous version of this drone.

Are you running this in stock pid tune? I got the d5 analog elrs 6s version and it’s has a very noticeable vibration in flight using 1500mah 6s battery. And it flys better using 1500mah 4s battery.
Stock PIDS. I fly all FPV Drones I review with STOCK PIDS
Did you test the 2207.5 1750kV motor one?
You could put very low pitch props to tame it

Not with a GoPro at the usual 30 degrees
Do your lipos die quicker in the cold mine do I loose a good minute or so on flight time on my eachine e180 helis I live in Connecticut 👍👍
Yes, all lipo batteries will become sluggish and provide less voltage on demand in the cold

If this drone came with a Xm+ could you use it analog or digital without undoing the air unit or analog receiver? Thanks in advance.
XM+ is a receiver which means you can place any receiver you like in any FPV drone on the market even if it is a Digital drone.
Does the DeadCat fly differently than an X ? Cause I kind of like that shape, Reminds me more odf a Bug than a cat but anyway is it a worse flyer?
X is from the old FPV days and was for balance in Freestyle. So if you are not a Freestyle God, then Deadcat is fine.
Nice video, have you got some info on the GPS read speed? I built my first one by myself this January and it did 162 Km/h measured by GPS lol. Maybe I went a bit overkill xD
I had plans to slap a GPS on the drone but the cold cancelled that. The GPS in the goggles was not set in the OSD so no idea of speed.

What quad do you prefer Sector X5 or Nazgul evoque F5X ?
When it comes to the FPV hobby and good drones there is no preference (both are good)
That's really interesting. Been thinking about the Nazgul evogue (but no ELRS) and the GepRC Mark 5 (no GPS) and this has booth.
So this might be the right one. So this would be in the same league as the Nazgul and the Mark 5, right?

Hey! I just got this quad today. I'm new to this. I can't get my DJI goggles connected and I updated them as well as the air unit through DJI assistant, dji fpv system. Everything went through successful. When I go to bind they won't bind. I have the iflight commando 8 radio. Do I have to update it through DJI assistant or it doesn't matter?

I figured it out. Once the goggles are updated you have to go into settings and switch to DJI FPV system do it won't bind. Nobody mentioned this or I missed it. I been flying he dji FPV drone in acro mode . It's was my introduction to FPV. It's plug and play 😂. I got everything set and connected. Will be flying it in the morning. Thanks for the quick response
Ok thi quad is awesome just finished my first flights. Question, what angle is the camera as shipped? Seem higher then 25 degrees where I fly on dji FPV drone. I kinda like it
@@25eazi There is no set factory camera angle. Every drone packaged will have a slightly different camera angle. It is up to you to adjust it to your preferences

In all videos I show the Radio Transmitter that I use for the flight. I have many radios and usually use one that matches the receiver that is in the FPV Drone.
There is analog and HD version, okay, but what does HD mean? HDZero? Dji? What is this about? I don't get it 😅
From your comment you are not in the FPV drone hobby. HD in the world of FPV means Digital (like your home digital cable TV vice a TV using Analog rabbit ear antennas)

Truely I am new to the drone hobby and just started with analog stuff and still have to learn a lot. That's why I am even asking because I got the Sky04x v2 and I am thinking about upgrading everything to HDZero also to get this quad with it. Would be nice to be able to buy this quad directly with HDZero instead of messing around with the settings after soldering.
The settings are my biggest issue to deal with ..
@@NoBrainerNuggets For DIGITAL you have DJI & CADDX that play nice with each other, and then you have a tiny number of others trying to get into the Digital market (struggling to be exact).
It is just me, or would others like to see these super fast drones (and others) flown full speed into a brick wall? We could then vote on the best crashes!
Just saying - most of the time these drones are sent to the reviewers without payment, or if thats not the case; we assume that the YT creator bought the drone. Either way it is in the best interest of the YT creator to NOT crash these.

I was going to make a segment by strapping a GPS to it, but the cold put an end to that.
The ND filter does not make your footage look smoother. The ND filter allows you to film at a lower shutter speed, causing motion blue in moving parts of your image. While sure, a blurred out background looks smoother than a shaky, in focus and sharp background. But this does not by any means make your footage smoother, and you must change your settings on your camera in order to make use of the ND filter.
The footage is "smoother" on an action camera simply due to the slower shutter speed.

I always enjoy your videos but I'm getting concerned about you freezing your fingers off. As I'm sure your aware Banggood sells special gloves that cover your controller and your hands while flying your drone. Yes they look kind of silly but hey if they work what the heck. Just wondering if you've seen them or indeed tried them meanwhile stay warm and keep up the good work.
Thanks. I have tried so many products for the hands, and none really work for what I do. I do often get frostbite on the tips of my fingers each winter. Using my pointing device is great with camera drones. With FPV drones I just use thinner gloves.
You do realize that -21 is the reason we have flight simulators.

Am I just Lazy or are You just crazy? I dont get out and do much at all when it gets below 50 degrees F. Maybe I should tell you that minus anyrhing is way below freezing? A CT scan might show a little frost bite has taken some ofyour brain, lol :) I guess winter gets a little long up there and sitting around is no good, but be safe and dont get sick and dont forget youre scarf and your mittens
