No it’s more due to the fact that insurance companies are going to do everything legally possible not to have to pay for all of humanities stupidity in ignoring climate change. Like the sheer number of disasters this is going to cause is something no insurance company can pay out to anybody they don’t have enough money and thus will be asking for more as a result on premiums. I’m assuming they keep enough in the bank based off predicted climate disasters and they don’t like what they see right now as the predictions are definitely off now that humanity shot past the 3 degree limit and continues ignoring any real measures to fix this. I don’t even blame insurance companies they can’t foot the bill of climate change at all why offer insurance to homes you know will be underwater in 20 years at all when the only way you’d make money off of that is if you charged the entire cost of the house in premiums. Those companies make money when people buy insurance and don’t use it when they know for a fact people will use their disaster relief fund that’s when they raise prices.

A carbon dioxide molecule in the upper atmosphere absorbs a photon with a wavelength of 4.25 microns. What's the likely outcome of this event?
      1. Nothing happens.
      2. Photodissociation.
      3. The molecule decays and emits a photon with a wavelength of 4.25 microns.
      4. The molecule dumps energy off to its translational and rotational components and emits a photon at 9.4 microns.
      5. The molecule collides with another gas molecule and gives up all or part of its energy without radiating a photon.
      6. The molecule decays and emits two photons, each one having half the energy of the original photon.
      7. Both 2 and 3 are possible.
      8. Both 4 and 5 are possible.
      9. Both 1 and 6 are possible.
