SO, about the Don being a Fixer thing, you can see files for each of the Sinners in the background of Dante's Notes. Going into the files for the game, you can read these (albeit most information is redacted). Ishmael and Don Quixote both have information in their files on the part that says "Fixer ID", while everybody else has that part blank. Meaning that Ishmael and Don Quixote were both Fixers pre-Limbus.
Yup yup. I just added that part in there because I got notable comments before about people (myself included) contesting limbus’ stance.
I’m pretty sure Don talks about her being a fixer, or atleast doing jobs with friends, when she’s punching the face off sinclair
The thing is, while Ishmel does have a FIN (Fixer Identifaction Number) code, Don doesn't, it has a phrase/words in that space instead, which leaves me to believe she isn't actually officially registered by the Hana, unlike Ishmael.
@@Alice-he2zh that draws some parallels to her source material, where both Dons weren't real Fixer or knight, but they're both trying to play those roles under the delusion that Fixers and knights are chivalric and gallant heroes of justice.
I really liked how this chapter show that you can also manifest an ego by becoming a worse person
As long as you embrace yourself despite who you are, enjoy your ego!
The Chapter 4 ending gives further credence to the “Dante bears the Mark of Cain theory” as the two divers on the clock head and the two hands look even more like the Mark of Cain after the clock ticks over.
As for what the clock could be counting towards, the best theory I’ve heard is the giant disaster shown in the Opening Movie where 350 million people in Nest D are killed (also note that this is where Dante is rescued at the start of Limbus)
That’s where my mind is at as well. Dante is acting like a doomsday clock.
What if they were in lives debt and stole from nest Deez to repay it?
Okay, the “sign of distortion” is actually an artifact of distortion detective, in the story, the main character, moses can see sign of distortion on other people (mask manifesting from other body parts, broken bee wings,…) that only she can see. I think people theorized that dante has the same ability as moses
While everyone is hyping for farmwatch id, i wonder if pm will give us sang yi yi sang id.
My thoughts are an ALEPH level EGO 👀
Thisss I really want a Sang Yi ID with the glass wing so bad
@@Hebleh isang ID with glass wing
is just LCB isang lol
I really like the power system of this setting I think it's really cool that things like character development and a characters mental state can make them stronger if I'm understanding how this power system works correctly.
I think the possibility of distorting and then manifesting is personally ridiculously fascinating, not just on game level but in regards to like, psychology in general. Implications for currently existing distortions to be given a little push in the right direction?

I think distorting vs ego is that ego is the optimum state, carman's whole thing has been shown that she just wants to rip people open and have them and those around them love the monster inside. The head clearly puts emphasis on the human experience and has an ideal of what/how people should be as evidenced by ruina's final reception. Carman and the heads aims aren't mutually exclusive as "standing on your own 2 feet and taking control of how you live irrispective of how people percive you" is litterally the ideal human sentiment the head approves of and is seen to be (framed in several ways) exactly the attitude everyone who's manifested a proper ego had displayed.
TLDR: ego is the optimum state because it's carman's distortion phenominon in a way the head also emdorses
They really shafted Rodya's chapter. I really hope they give her a second chapter now that we know LC is up against Hermann (N Corp. as a whole really) and Yurodivy.
None of the Sinners' arcs are probably truly over. There's more to expend on her.
Honestly, I feel like the way the chapter went fit her honestly. She is a person that actively tires to be jovial and basically not talk about herself really at all if possible. It made sense that for the most of it,she didn’t talk about herself that much because she didn’t want to.
Dongrang is such an enigma for me
The way he act with Dante and hee know Carmen by NAME
Also the fact that Don can recognise a Distortion still amaze me
He know her by name because she been talking to him when he was about to distort
@@prokiller4860 but it's the same for phillip
but she didn't give her name
@@TheCasty30isnt Carmen introduced herself to Vergil while he was manifesting his ego?
Nope I don't think so @@cupcakeisolator5994
I think it would be interesting if you made a video about how this settings power system works I don't think I've ever seen someone explain the ways people get stronger in the city.
I do run a game set in a City adjacent setting so I do have a good idea of what they are thinking. However a lot is still very muddy I wouldn’t feel comfortable speculating that hard. I drop theories here and there but I still mainly stick to hard facts.
@@DMrLeeds interesting so it's not just me who doesn't fully understand the power system it's pretty interesting that this setting has three games in it without a fully explained the power system.
@@izzymosley1970 Distortions, E.G.O, Abnormalities... there is a *LOT* of information, and quite a bit of overlap, on top of chapter 4 in Limbus (the latest game) giving even more information.
I recently subbed so I can't wait for more lore videos! I really want to hear you talk about the various lore dumps with IDs
I especially really love Cinq Director Don and wanna hear you talk about her
Thank you for the sub!
I plan on doing 3.5+4.5 next and then a not PM project but then when season 2 is done I think I’ll recap some ID lore!
Remember that distorsions can evolve to even more distorted forms. I wonder if this is how new abnormalities are born.
I love the ending of this video
The bit on chickens and flight, while definitely narratively resonant, isn't actually correct: Even wild chickens with no heritage from modern farmed and bred chickens cannot fly for any sustained period, and even farmed chickens can nearly match that unless they're clipped. They're not technically flightless birds but they cannot genuinely fly either: They're more short-range hoppers.
I scared a chicken into HARRIER-STYLE fly up a fence (I was 9)

They definitely got no distance flight ability

The cat playing with the bell fit in with the music so I didn't even notice it wasn't part of it, lol.
i think that the distortion middle-ground thing is also referencing the concept in leviathan, as we can see a CERTAIN SOMETHING happen to a distortion
It was a cool chapter.i wonder what demian meant in his talk after the chapter, kind reminded me of the head with his human experience talk

Yeah many theorize that canto 6 (heathcliff's chapter) will take place a t corp
Yippee
Effloresced was used to describe both Dongrang and Dongbaek’s EGO too, maybe they are just built different
Wait so does that mean when in between chapters they go to mirror dungeon so they can get lunacy to get more identities.
Since we know that getting an identity is connected to the plot. And not just a gacha mechanic
8:39, and leviathan spoilers:
I thought carmen wanted people to distort, and the only reason that they could manifest at all was because of ayin being in the light as well, as said in one of the last chapters of leviathan.. Did i misinterpret what was going on there?
The final chapters to what I understand have translations that lose a lot of nuance. I'll give them another read over but in combination with the ending of LoR this was my take away.
@@DMrLeeds they were recently fan translated by an actual person rather than just being output by machine translation, that seems to help a lot. But I can see what you mean as it is still not an official translation.
@@H.Pancake yeah I went off the fan translations as well, but a lot of authors intent can be lost or misconstrued even by a human. Thank you for your patience!
what does the hands on Dante’s face moving mean?
No concrete info yet, but it’s strongly believed the be tied to the event where 300,000,000 die. A doomsday clock per se.
4:46
For me i don't want it to be all eldritch abominations but rather something interestingly very fucked up stuff.
Like with warp trains
Why are these hands, Chasing Dreams out of my reach?
Is my thirst for normalcy odd?

Imagine people from that district.
I'm not racist i can't see color
Racism or sexism as it exists in our world don't seem to exist. However, classism is still alive and well.
Spoilers for Ruina end game:
In regards to Dongreng being the "first to pull a reverse philip" didn't Roland do that first? In the Black Silence fight we first fight a distorted version of him and only after does he awake his ego
His fight was never a distortion, nor did he get an ego. His powers exhibited in his reception was due to him resonating with the lubrary itself, just like how he did it many times before during realisations. As for the ego bit, his view of life and the city can still be considered as intact by the end: nihilistic, city full of suffering, etc. only that he is more forward facing by the end, with Angela.
@@azzurala8877the whole “library is resonating with Roland” bit is very interesting because many people theorize the giant creature in his second phase could be the thing in the crater of old L Corp
