    Oh, this is a savior video for me. I have been practicing all Kreuzter trill etudes for years and I never notice what I have missed. The base note has to be a little vague! Right after I fixed the problem my trill sounds a lot better! Thanks a lot. Among all the trill videos this is the best one for me.

    Thank you very much, very helpful, I also would like to ask you, how tall is your bridge? I noticed your bridge seems to be a bit taller than mine, doesn’t it make your fingers hurt when you play? Thank you 🙏

    • @JoyLeeViolin
      @JoyLeeViolin  Před 3 lety +1

      You're most welcome Totoo. You are right, my bridge is tall and has a stronger arch as this will allow me to get bigger sound with more active bowing. It first can be hard on the fingertips, but soon you will see that your fingers will adopt and it no more hurts. Happy music making!

    Kind of like a “pull off” with a guitar. Pulling off the string makes it own sound

    I have a trill on an 8th note, too short for me to trill on 😒

    • @JoyLeeViolin
      @JoyLeeViolin  Před rokem +1

      Hi Lya, if the note is not long enough to trill properly, you can do a mordent ( which is one trilling motion). I hope this would help. Happy music making!

  • @sandrakerr5024

    If you don't mind me asking but what's the diffrance between vibrato and trill..? Forgive me but am just a beginner,

    • @TriyanshaB
      @TriyanshaB Před 5 lety +4

      Vibrato involves only 1 finger but trills require 2 fingers. In a TRILL one finger stays down while the other bounces .... so its like playing 2 fingers or notes really really quickly. But VIBRATO is when you kind of wiggle a finger in its place... you make that 1 finger "vibrate". Youll understand when you have to play them
