So glad that Daisy is finally getting more spotlight. She gets a different outfit from the other princesses, her own official HD artwork (finally), a lot of screen time in the trailers, and they also made her more unique by making her a bit thicker! If you look closely you can see that she's a bit chubbier and has more of a thick build than Peach and Rosalina, which I find pretty cool. Hopefully Daisy will get an amiibo too. And you never know, maybe Daisy will appear in Smash as DLC!

+Sushi Devourer :) In the Mario Tennis games, Peach always wore dress and Daisy always wore shorts. In case you didn't notice, this is the first time that Rosalina appears, and better is a dress to her, note that is different from Peach.

Peach and Daisy haven't had unique sports outfits since 2004, Mario Power Tennis and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour on Gamecube. In every single game after that, they have always worn the same outfit, whether it be both shorts or both skirts. In Mario Tennis Open and Mario Golf World Tour on 3DS, for example, they both wear skirts. In Mario Sports Mix and Mario baseball, they both wear shorts. That's why I am happy about Ultra Smash, since it has been 11 years since they have had unique sports clothing. And yes of course I know this is Rosalina's first tennis game. It's kinda obvious.
Sushi Devourer :) So I say, in Mario Tennis games. What I mean is they both were well differentiated before, one with dress, and the other with shorts. It's not the first time. Rosalina could use shorts, but will not look so good. But her dress is quite different to Peach, much more than when Daisy and Peach wore shorts in other games.

Kinda boring how it seems that changing to different stages only changes the court, not the surroundings. MT64 had Jungle court, bowser court etc.

I love how Daisy is being made to stand out for her tomboy nature! As Peach and Rosalina are "graceful" or whatever Daisy is thicker and curvier than both, and she is wearing shorts and all. I bet those Smash Ballot results are pushing Nintendo to make Daisy shine some more.
Now we just need a WAH and Daisy amiibo and we're gold.

It's kinda odd how Daisy is getting a lot of screen time in these gameplay trailers. She's been heavily featured in each one and she's one of the characters shown in the promotional art at the end. She's still too insignificant of a character for this to mean anything, just think it's interesting how Nintendo seems to be putting her on a pedestal. Maybe they're trying to show off her redesign?
Keep in mind I'm referring to multiple trailers here, not just this one. This is likely the one with the least Daisy in it, lol.

Well, Daisy has always been one of the most popular characters in the sport spin-off Mario games. But Nintendo putting her on a pedestal ? Naah, but Rosalina, yes. I mean, Rosalina is playable in Mario 3D World and Super Smash Bros., she gets her amiibo, while Daisy doesn't even have her costume in Mario Maker...
Daisy is my favorite character in Mario games, and how they put Rosalina as a most important character just make me sick.
But, yeah, Daisy is showed a lot in that trailer, and that's cool. I just hope that she will be in Smash Bros. as a DLC soon. :)
Haix She no longer shares the same body shape as Peach. They occasionally make her a little different, but this is the first time it's apparent that she's not just a Peach clone.
Compare her to the way she looks in Mario Kart 8 for a good comparison.

With PE we sometimes played a game called bunker dodgeball. You had a set amount of building material (mats, goals, vaults) to build a strategical fortress. If there's one Mario sports game that I really wish to have, it would be Mario Bunker Dodgeball.

That's not the problem, and not my point (+They play Volley Ball with dress in Mario Party 4 ^^).
I mean, that's not very difficult to design an outfit just slightly different from overalls just to be more sport-like (Short sleeves, wrist band, even a hand band is not that bad).
