- In this Video I install the brand new PRL Motorsports Flex Fuel Sensor with wifi capabilities that will allow you to read ethanol content straight from your phone without the need of a secondary device being plugged in, such as a Ktuner or Hondata. I also go through some of the basics when it comes to E85 and how you could benefit tremendously from such an easy upgrade.

PRLs install video was half assed. Lol they didn't really show where anything went and skipped over sooo much.
Yours was really helpful, well done sir!
Good morning how are you? Thanks for those amazing videos… help us a lot 💪🏻
I have a question when you the flex fuel kit you have to buy flex fuel like assembly too ? Sorry I’m new in these
Thanks 😊
Great details about the PRL flex fuel kit for Si, Type R, Accord, etc. Nice upgrade performance mods on your 22' Si. New Type R is fuckin expensive to buy but crazy markup costing but Si, Sport, and Touring, Hatchback can be affordable.😁👍
breathe in between sentences, no rush man
take your time when you talk
thank you for the informative video !!!
Haha thanks dude I actually have bad lungs 😭 so I get out of breathe easily these days. I just have to grab my inhaler real quick 🤓😂😂 but ima try and slow it down next time
So I’m planning on running full e85 since I drive past 3 pumps on the way to work everyday, when does the accord fuel system require an upgrade?
Do u know where the oil pressure sensor is located .. can’t find no videos for new accord
Please do a review on the tools you use! Ive been wanting to invest on some power tools and other basic tools and I would love to see what helps you so I can know what I can consider buying. Love the videos man
Will do! 🤙
Neee nose pliers, 10mm socket
Nice video just one thing I can't find the last plug anywhere and your o2 are mounted factory different then mine
Should be plugged in behind the radiator in the general location I showed. And lol idk what to say about the O2 sensors lol
Thanks for the video. I'm currently running the PRL flex fuel kit on my Accord. Consequently, the check engine light came on. Any ideas of what is triggering this? Thank you.
Did you upload one of Hondatas e85 tune or enable Ktuners E85 feature?
Can this run full 85 or will you need a bigger fuel pump
Do you have to plug in the ect2 sensor or can it run fine without it? PRL vid says it’s an optional connection. But I haven’t found a clear answer
It's not optional, I just received clarification from PRL support this morning, "It requires KTuner to tune for & compensate timing for the ethanol. The 0.5V-4.5V output needs to be connected into the harness off of the radiator (ECT2) in order to do so."
first mod i did on my 11th gen also unfortunately i had to take it off because i blew a head gasket and had it warrantied out😎 not sure if that had anything to do with it but man the power it gives with a 50% mix😱 its SUPER EASY to smoke the clutch in higher gears.
Haha yeah dude it’s crazy how different the power is
I'ts the headstuds, the stock ones stretch under high boost. I blew the headgasket on my 10th gen from it now I will not start adding power to my 11th gen si til I upgrade to ARP headstuds
@@renzigiraldo6274 what caused it? I heard from high boost at higher gears
Breathe my man seems like your being held at gun point lol. Thank for the quality info!
Lol nah dude was just dealing with some respiratory issues during this video 😂 but thank you!
How did it drive n feel after you installed the flex fuel kit
A lot more torque when running e20-e30
Should my first mod be to upgrade the clutch so I can tune it as much as I want
Up to you, with stock fuel system I don’t think anything over E30 would give much benefit.
But if you to be full bolt on with E I would probably go ahead and do the clutch.
Does anyone know if I need to retune my civic if its already tuned, once I install this flex fuel?
If you fully install this, then yes, otherwise you’ll get a CEL for the ECT2 sensor. And you need a specific flex fuel tune to make it all work so it can adjust for the different levels of ethanol
@@luiproductions would you know where to get that tune can you get it from tsp?
sorry i commented while i was watching didn’t realize you answer them towards the end
@@ivandeegr8 not sure if they have one. You could always do Hondata’s flex fuel tube or get a custom one
How long will stock injectors last with this ? I’m worried about realibility
Why would you be worried about the injectors?
E85 is corrosive it can lead to injector failure over time, anything that has metal ethanol causes corrosion over time
@@kylegentles2270 anything I’ve ever read has been that e85 actually had a cleaning effect. You’re right though it is corrosive but modern day fuel lines can handle it. Your fuel guage might corrode. I’ve seen that before
@@luiproductions would it stress the stock fuel pump ?
@@kylegentles2270 if you run too much E85, yes
How much e85 do you need to add to the fuel tank?
Depends on what you want, 2-3 gallons should be safe enough to where you don’t slip the clutch too bad.
@@luiproductions thanks! I have a 2022’ Honda Accord Sport 2.0T and decided not to do the PRL Flex Fuel kit. The nearest E85 station is 72mi away and it’s just to much of a hassle to deal with. Opted to go with other bolt ons.
@@yardbird253 yeah, I wish E85 was more accessible
Did you try without gapping your spark plugs? What happened? Or did you gapped your spark plugs? How offend do you run E85?
Yeah, so I didn’t gap my spark plugs. I said If you plan on running a high e85 mix, you should re gap your plugs, such as E50 or more.
I had a friend who didn’t regap his plugs and out straight e85 in, he did a pill and his engine shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. He later said that he needed to get new spark plugs in order for his car to start
@@luiproductions what spark plugs did he end up getting to run full e85 and did he have to upgrade the fuel pump too
Did you run into engine code issues?
No, if you fully install the kit to include the harness that connects to the ECT2 connection, and don’t set it up right on Ktuner or don’t select flex fuel on Hondata then yes, you’ll get a code.
@luiproductions where do you plug that in to?
Good 👍 ASS job Brudda ✌.
the pause at 17.00 min lmao
Hahaha whoops 😂 clearly I scrubbed way too fast when looking through everything 😂
Did you just go jogging or go up and down 50 flights of stairs before doing this video? 🤣
Lmao no man, I was born with shitty lungs so when allergy season comes im hurting 😭😂
😍❤️👍
But only for the 2.0 not 1.5 which sucks
I’m pretty sure they have a kit for the 1.5
@@dzrewn1 Honda said it will make a 1.5 blow up
Lol great way to destroy the transmission
Lol what better way to get a new transmission?
The new kit sucks. It has to many bends its actually causing fuel pressure drops
You should send all your data to PRL for them to look at. I haven’t had any issues with mine
Lmao this is NOT the first mod you should do at all. You will blow your headgasket in a week terrible terrible advice
You’re a head gasket
@@luiproductions I’m just someone who actually knows the platform 🤓. Your sending people to an unfavorable event in near future lmao
@@Candybuiltsi im sure you’re very knowledgeable. However, I speak from my own experiences and I don’t force anyone to do anything to their car. Their tuner should tell them how much E is safe for their car. I ran flex fuel on my fk8 and SI and never had any issues with either. Obviously going above E20 would be useless for stock build since their clutch wouldn’t be able to handle the added torque. Any competent tuner should be able to safely tunes someone’s car to run E20 and above, granted they have the supporting mods to do so.
