  • The Project FC3 Honda Civic Si gets a shiny new titanium inlet pipe installed and tested on our Dyno to see how well this PRL part flows. Not only is this Civic upgrade worth doing for the style points, we discovered the Big Bore Inlet Pipe from PRL actually seems to flow more air even without a custom tune. We are sure to see some more gains once Alan has a chance to dial it in. Then she will be all ready for her big turbo...

    Another good video with DATA. I’m not sure if PRL has a step-by-step install now, but I used 27Won instructions for their TIP when I did the PRL on my Civic. Those instructions worked great.

      Shouldn't be much difference between brands on the same platform, it's the same part after all!

    I'm also here for the 10th gen si content! Great professional and straightforward. I can't wait to see what yall do for a big turbo. 🐌 Thanks for still making FC3 videos.
    I also been heard somethings about a GRC wing maybe? 🙃

    a sound difference comparison would have been clutch! but thank you for these 10th gen videos anyway

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  Před 4 měsíci +1

      If you click on the chapters, you can compare the before and after dyno runs, but there isn't much of a difference due to the Cobra Cold Air intake. There is no BOV sound anymore because we removed the atmosphere spacer.

    Nice video. The results line up a lot of what I’ve read online. There’s no additional tune settings for it?

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  Před 4 měsíci

      Because the car operates on measured air and is already custom tuned, it can easily take advantage of the little bit of help that inlet pipe offers to the turbo. Waste Gate is already maxed out, so big turbo is next for any power gains.

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, we probably won't do the 27Won just because we don't sell it at this time. If that changes, we may do that.

  • @ManuelGonzalez-nu5bb
    @ManuelGonzalez-nu5bb Před 2 měsíci

    Probably a dumb question but can you run this turbo inlet on a MAPerformance intake? Or it has to be matched with a PRL intake?

    • @EdgeAutosport
      @EdgeAutosport  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Definitely not a dumb question. I don't have personal experience with this so I can't be certain, but after looking at several pictures, I don't think these 2 would work. The MAP intake connects all the way to the factory plastic inlet tube, which is where the purge valve is connected. The PRL relocates that valve to the silicone tube that mates to their MAF housing. So I don't think they're naturally compatible. Let me know if you have any other questions and if you want to replace everything with PRL, check out our site where they're available!
