I have been guilty of having way way too many Tomato plants the last couple of seasons so Im trying to grow more or less just what we need this season! Mainly to try and keep the work load down and not waste anything! I had a very quiet weekend and caught up on a few jobs ! You know how it is, there`s always a job! W e had snow last week too, opened the curtains and thought i was in Alaska! lol

@@happydaysveg1965 to be honest sometimes I find it like a clingy boyfriend (or girlfriend) you have to keep at it or they get snippy 😜. But the other thing is I feel I’m doing well and entertaining but others are so so and getting huge sub counts. So I’ve decided I’ll post when I like and follow the just have fun rule. People like yourself and Nick the Gardener, Rob’s Allotment whim I’ve followed forever are just “real” people and I enjoy that way more, that’s why I always promote new people I find. Talking of sunny Nprth Wales , we were watching a programme the other evening (the Hairy bikers I think) which featured a woman called Maggie who was born in Nigeria and now runs a business making Nigerian food in a place called Pen-y-groes. And as they were riding around we kept looking out for you and saying" I bet Shaun lives round here somewhere " whenever there was a place with a view over the sea. 🚢
Hi again mate. In your vid from 2yrs ago you mentioned putting a cloth bag inside the pot to stop the compost falling through. Can you tell me if the bag is just for the small pot that goes into the pipe of if it is meant for the big pot or both. And can you buy such bags, if so from where ? Maybe show us on your next vid ? We've got some Mara de bois ( wild wood) strawberries, we've got 7 inch pots and yesterday we bought some 4inch diameter soil pipe. Unfortunately someone swiped the side of our car with theirs in the car park. The lady who did it could have just driven off but to her credit she came into the store and got them to put out a message on the tannoy for me to go to reception . As it turned out we are both insured with the same company. Any guesses as to what I will be building? It won't feature an automatic watering system like yours as I haven't got a water supply with suitable pressure at the moment. Things could well be different next year. For now I will be using a dipstick to monitor the water level and use a funnel to top up as needed. Otherwise it will bear a striking resemblance to your set up, but a lot smaller. It will be 2 pipes about 6 feet long. I'm off to the wood yard now to get some timber for the frame. Hopefully by the start of next week it will be up and running, and spuds and carrots planted in tubs. Pictures can be made available if requested. 😀
