I love how he goes through the crazy chute, and then casually goes off a 20 foot cliff backwards.
Chris make this look so effortless, like anyone could just go rip a backflip and stick the cleanest landing of all time. Bravo

the shadow
I did not read the description but I could see from his shadow that he did not have anything on his head or chest. And from his mumbling sounds I figured out he was biting down on the mount

1. Image stabilization has gotten smoother than what the person recording experiences, which really changes things. Now it's shifted from a camera getting affected by the terrain to seeing everything the recording person does from a maintained angle.
2. Holy mother of side-hit land
a lot of people complain about it, but I think it makes for a better experience. Smoother for viewer (better experience) but you can see the person/vehicle affected much more, so [IMO] you get more of the visceral impact
@@T4nkcommander right. You can see the rider getting affected much better. To me, it's like 2 seperate forms of recording that present their own sort of thing.

For the French, as all ski resorts are closed, the GoPro channel will have been our escape route for this ski season; I'm going to watch it again with my ski boots.
And, very nice video, with a very good rendering of lights and colors.
Chris used to jump trash cans two high on his rollerblades on to my front lawn in Bishop. His dad, Victor, was a great guy. We miss him still.

The beginning through the big rock is named "the key hole" go down rock creek run ski the high left side of run, via ch5/ch3/upper gondola.

Omg those cuts at the top behind the rocks looked super stressful. Love to know if the route was already known by the skier or if he just reacted as he went. Cool perspective.
Chris Bentchetler grew skiing Mammoth, where this was filmed. He knows every inch of that mountain under every snow condition.
The route in the video was the keyhole entrance high up on the left wall of upper dry creek (you get there from chair 3). He then basically noodles his way down to the bottom of chair 5, which is where the video ends.
