- Which beach is your favorite? Drop us a comment! The Top beaches of Costa Rica is a hard list to narrow down. Many just visit Tamarindo, Jaco, or Santa Teresa. We guess these are fine, but honestly, we didn't see much to drool over in any of them. So here are some slightly lesser traveled, but even more beautiful places to throw a beach mat. Costa Rica's Pacific Coast is famed for beaches of every flavor, color, and personality. Some are great for a day stop like Uvita or Manuel Antonio. These are in National Parks, and though beautiful, there is limited accommodations. Others are a great place to park it for a while! Santa Teresa and Tamarindo are famed for beginner surfers and the party crowd. Flamingo Bay is filled with expats and beautiful condos and restaurants, as well as great organized tours. Brasilito is a true locals beach and village with local food and simple accommodations. While its neighbor Conchal Beach, boasts a great resort
hotel, water sports, and some of the whitest sand on the Pacific. Uvita is the cutest tiny town with the most unique shoreline. Montezuma is a blast for families, party goers, and true beach lovers with its laid back vibe and interesting shoreline. Drake's Bay is for the adventurous and people who like a little off the beaten path fun. You really can't go wrong with the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is one of those rare places in the world, where the jungle meets the sea in so many interesting ways. Wildlife is abundant both in and out of the water. It's one of the best places in the world to see the humpback whale migration and get a glimpse of some of the most beautiful birds on Earth. Pick a beach. Pack your bag, and let us know where you chose!

All of these beaches look beautiful đ€© Getting excited about exploring Costa Rica đ
We're on the Pacific Coast now. We'd never seen black pelicans until a few days ago. Really cool to watch them flying along the water.
Your animal photography is really good - love the parrot shots!

Just to clarify Conchal is pron (cone-chall) and yes it is a very nice beach.
playa uvita and motezuma, o like the tip about the restaurant too Artistas restaurant in montezuma. thanks!
sure! thanks for watching!
Thank you for the shout out guys! So sorry about what happened to you in Uvita:( Keep it going!
Thanks again guys!!
conchal and penca were two of my favs. if u go down far enough at conchal, u can be totally alone with and overhanging tree. there a steep shoreline and floatable water right off shore. its a great vibe. and the water at penca stunning! gets hot af, less tree coverage
I think we have hung out under that tree đ€Ł
Are these two beaches swimming beaches or surfing? Thanks.
We love the footage and your take on all the places you discovered. We are hoping to move down there in a couple years. We love Montezuma from the footage we have seen, but seek more of a community vibe, vs just tourists. Did you check out Samara and its lovely beach? Also how did you all get around did you rent a car, or hire a driver?
We rented a car. I would actually say Montezuma has a pretty good community of both locals and some long term tourists. Then others on the weekend. We did not go to Samara. Most of the expats and people who move there stay on Montezuma
I went to Montezuma many times in the 80s
such a beautiful little place!
Hi, I enjoyed your video - thanks! I am wondering though, are both Montezuma and Penca beach (and Conchal beaches) swimmable? Or are they more surf beaches? Thanks!
We have been swimming at all three. Montezuma has some spots with rough waves, but there are nearby coves along the coast that are good for swimming. Penca and Conchal have always been pretty calm when I was there, lots of swimming!
Jaja, you are funny couple
đthanks!
What was name of Airbnb across from Delicias Bahia Drake? Im planning a trip in early '23
Hey Phil! It was called Cabinas Jade Mar. It's nothing fancy, but the lady is friendly and it was the best price in the area. Have fun!
Costa Rica is so nice but don't shop in the mall ,very expensive đđđ
That's for sure!!
Sorry, but no top 10 beaches of Costa Rica list, that does not include the beaches of Santa Teresa, should be taken seriously.
đ€Ł Fair enough. It is popular, but nobody in our travel crew liked Santa Teresa. Just wasn't our vibe, I guess.
Too much talking and reminiscing, it couldâve been cut down to three or four minutes and be more useful with better information
Well, I guess when you make your video for your channel, you can make a 3 minute one.
Bummer for the park rangers đđ»
Yah, they were turds
