Just a fun fact which I find rather astonishing.Clarendon has a parish as 25 Dacosta cups Garvey maceo 2,Glenmuir high 3,vere technical 9,Clarendon college 11.Dacosta cup started in 1950 ,it’s quite incredible for one parish to have so much school boy football titles,whatever coaching is doing in Clarendon is quite remarkable,plus the talent from that parish
Very interesting statistic. I was thinking about that recently but I did not have the exact numbers in mind but I did think that with CC, Glenmuir, Vere Tech and Garvey Maceo, the parish does have a good claim to make for having the most DaCosta Cup titles of all parishes. I can't think of any other parish that comes even close!

CC and Glenmuir have always had these links in families, not to mention friends, as both schools draw students from all over the parish, with many students of both schools coming from central and southern Clarendon, in particular. There was also a time when Glenmuir students used to move to CC to do sixth form. I'm not sure if that still happens.

Why would they decide to bring a rural final to the corporate area? Why not have the final in Clarendon or a mutual ground like Manchester? This is unfair and ridiculous; we want to keep rural competition in our area. Some people who wanted to attend the final couldn’t make it because it’s out of zone.
Fair point, but we also need better fields in Clarendon. Clarendon park was great when it was in operation, but outside of that field, the others aren't quite up to par.
