The last island was perfection…what? At first I thought it would be a normal trap with all the colorful stuff being a facade to a murder. But I guess it was a facade nonetheless.

the goo lagoon island is SO clever , the first thing that you think of when someone says horror is ghosts or clowns, not climate change or politics , but this island has show everyone that these topics is true horror and everything they places in these houses represents all these issues SO cleverly , it’s covered almost every topic. the best one i think was the contrast between the rich room filled with gold and money, and the poor room filled with graffiti and trash, it shows so well the difference between rich and poor . I could rant on and on about every meaning of every room . so amazing and it’s unique and like no ever horror island i’ve ever seen before

Goo lagoon came in swinging and woke up and chose violence! The eyes following you and the warp pipes taking you to who knows where. 10/10 amazing!
If I am not mistaken the painting in the basement of the lagoon island political house is representing the French Revolution and the inhabitants standing up to the upper class nobles and clergymen having all the power while not even being 5 percent of the population. It was inspired from the American revolution, following the main part of the French rev there was a bloody period where lots of people where getting executed with guillotine by “defenders” of France and their enlightenment ideals, The Committee of public safety. It got so bad a-lot of the able fled the country and anyone could be sentenced to get your head chopped off for any old thing. Later the one leading it eventually got guillotined and they returned to their monarch rule which at that point the part of the main focus of the revolution was to abolish monarchy in France. So I hope that added some context as to what the basement imagery might have been saying lol 😅
This painting represents the Liberty leading the People, it's been misinterpreted as the French Revolution, but that's not what it represents, it honors the July Revolution. it was not inspired by americans, never heard that one before -- if anything is related, it's that this painting inspired the Statue of Liberty that was gifted long after but that's it

I thought the basement in Goo Lagoon with the Civil War painting and all the gravestones was meant to illustrate that people think there will be some great end result to war but all it gets you is a ton of death and loss. Like in "Cliffs of Gallipoli" by Sabaton -- "There is no enemy, there is no victory, only boys who lost their lives in the sand."
