- The Heckler & Koch HK416 is an rifle designed and manufactured by the German company Heckler & Koch. The HK416 uses a HK-proprietary short-stroke gas piston system that derives from the HK G36, forgoing the concentric to bore gas piston system standard in AR-15 rifles. The HK G36 gas system was in turn partially derived from the AR-18 assault rifle designed in 1963. The HK system uses a short-stroke piston driving an operating rod to force the bolt carrier to the rear. This design prevents combustion gases from entering the weapon's interior-a shortcoming with direct impingement systems. The reduction in heat and fouling of the bolt carrier group increases the reliability of the weapon and extends the interval between stoppages. The HK416’s piston system was originally self-regulating in theory, but in the default position tends to give increased recoil over an adjustable gas system. A user adjustable gas regulator was added in later variants.

I was under the impression all 416 buffers had the granulated tungsten in side and not separate weights. can any one confirm there are 416s with weights?

the parts displayed are the Firing pin retaining pin, Firing pin and Firing pin spring (it is part of the drop safety system you will see the rest on 1:16 when the 2 roll pins spring and detent as well as the drop safety tang. ).

Awesome video. But in my opinion way to much parts in this rifle.. Imagine you lose some of those little pins or springs in the field... I know you don't need to take them out for cleaning or so.. But this is way risky
So why can't countries like north korea watch this video and have a better arsenal than what they had before
