Me: everyone has different opinions about music
Also me when I clicked on this video: they better fucking like it
YUP!!!
I listen to them at work quite a bit. I actually grew up in a time when they were popular but I didn’t really listen to that music. Now as an adult in my 50s I really appreciate them.
If they didn’t like it I’ll bring out the 🔫

MEEEE
This song sounds 200x better driving. Trust me. Try it.
I learned how to drive listening to Fleetwood Mac, no joke. My dad had a mix CD of their tunes, among others.
Will do
💯%
Also, try this on your next run... hitting the pavement, sun setting on a cool summer evening, slight breeze against your body, pushing through that initial pain until you go numb... Fleetwood always gets me through
great for a bike ride, too; headphones in, cruising as the breeze hits your face, taking in your surroundings, just gliding on the road.
Who doesn’t start driving a bit faster when the bass riff kicks in.
No, no, no! Drop back when the bass hits and start looking for cops (all clear, good). Then, at the hint of Buckingham's guitar madness beginning start speeding up - try to catch up to the frenetic, mesmerizing pace of his flying fingers, and drop the hammer!
Yep! Do it in Tesla and you start a really really bad habit! Super empowering, though!
If you don't, take the bus. You don't deserve to drive lol
I walk faster, is that close enough?
@@cheshorcatbeats1273 i start wiggling in my bed

You won't be sorry! These young men are awesome. They've been on tv a few times, President Obama even came on, giving them kudos.
You'll love Whitney Houston doing the Star Spangled Banner and Jolene!

There is not a single bad song on this album. Each song on the Rumours album is pure gold!
Agreed girl! What a great album!
💯 FACTS
Full-body chills even though I’ve heard this song a million times. So much love to you guys!
True story!
This! I find it weird to listen to any other song (but The Chain) on Rumours unless it’s listening to the album front to back
The entire Rumours album is fantastic. Literally just an entire album of band members writing diss tracks & breakup songs about other members of the band 🤣 Gotta listen to "Dreams" & "Go Your Own Way".
Most played album at the time.
Yes! Go your own way! And one of my favorites Tusk!
I love Rumors Songs
Favorite album whenever im down i just listen to it and it just makes me feel better.
Check out: ”FLEETWOOD MAC - SILVER SPRINGS LIVE”
Like Diablo Cody said, viewing this performance from the Mac’s 1997 reunion tour is like eavesdropping on an embarrassingly intimate lovers’ quarrel. Watch through your fingers as Mommy and Daddy (a.k.a. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham) purge two decades’ worth of relationship demons in front of a paying audience. Even though these fightin’ words are purely lyrical, Stevie’s accusing gaze and Lindsey’s defensive stance tell us everything we need to know. ”I’ll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you,” Stevie rasped way back in 1976. Who knew she’d be right?

the twins at 2:46 "it just switched its whole flow!"
all of us: JUST YOU WAIT
Exactly.....I was thinking the same and grinning.
I actually just said exactly the same thing alone in my room when they got to that part!
I literally (and audibly... to myself) said this -- excitedly so.
I love when the songs they react to have some sudden change, or amazing harmony, or something, so I can anticipate their reactions.
this song has caused so many speeding tickets for people. haha
Lol absolutely true.
Lol..but true
Yep, only one I’ve ever got.
Eddie Van Halen called Rumours a perfect album. I agree
I concur.
Ditto 😊💿
every song yes!
ditto
I agree too! It was a coming of age album for me! Still love it now.
Stevie Nicks wrote this so she could yell it at her ex every show.
it wasn’t just written by stevie but true!!
@@jacobkrauss3973 yes it was, the lyrics were written by her, music by Jon mcvie and mickfleetwood written separately then brought the two parts together, Christie helped Stevie rework some of the lyrics to make it work with the music better but it is a Stevie nicks song
@@carstenweizer you’re right i’m sorry!
They all wrote it
Lindsey Buckingham wrote Go Your Own Way for Stevie and Stevie wrote Silver Springs for him.
Stevie and Lindsey were going through a really rough breakup and instead of talking it out they made an epic song that they could yell at each other to. Recommend watching the 1982 live performance of this and they are literally glaring death at each other
It’s like Zeus vs Dione. Stevie’s eyes are terrifying. Lindsey’s war calls are insane. That concert is an Experience.
This one isn't about their relationship. It's about everyone in the band breaking down.
By 82, they were 5 or 6 years past their romance's sell-by date. That was the amazing part of that band; none of them particularly liked each other and yet they wrote and performed like the proverbial well-oiled machine.
I watch it about once a month
The whole reason they finally fired Lindsey from the band was that he and Stevie absolutely could not get along anymore. Stevie basically went to Mick and said, "It's him or me."
Well, I suppose I can't blame them, but some fire really went out of the band when they booted LB.
You two aren’t far off the mark with saying it sounds like a war. The entire band was at war with each other while making this album. Spot on observation!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
When Tim makes the stank face because he's into the music😍
Love him! He gets it on a cellular level!
When Fred plays it down cause he's so shy.
@@Kitty-ek6br nah, I've seen a few where he doesn't really like the song. He's polite and doesn't say so, but sometimes he's not feeling it.
@@Kitty-ek6br not so..
@@Kitty-ek6br haha well apparently you watch a lot, so I guess it works?
Still have this album. Played the hell out of it. I still get chills when I listen to it. 70’s were a sad time of my life. But I’m now 71 and survived. Which at that time I thought I never would
I get the chills when I hear this song too, and "I'm So Afraid", "Gold Dust Woman" and others.
Me too, I am 68 now and that album has been with me through thick and thin, never thought I would make it to this age either x
Yes...I'm about to be fifty and still have this album passed down from my mom. So many childhood memories..my twenty year old son just ask to borrow it to study the guitar (he plays by ear) I'm so proud to pass it on to the next generation...to borrow for now.

Ok I'm 50 year old black woman and just heard this song a few months ago. The guitar reminds me of old Blues Songs guitar rifts my grandparent use to listen to while drinking Johnny Walker Red on Saturday or Sunday evenings. loved it.
You should check out some of the other songs on this album (Rumors). All the 70s rock bands owe A LOT to old blues musicians.
Fleetwood Mac were a blues band originally back when Peter Green was a member. They changed their sound over the years. Each iteration has its own sound but all are great.
So much blues influence in many of the songs of the sixties and seventies.
I'm a 58 year old black woman, who still has my original vinyl copy. One of the best albums ever!
This HUGE SONG came out in 1977 ,,, The sweet 70s BABY
They don’t even know that’s Stevie Nicks singing lead vocal. Once they find that out these young men will surely declare her the Queen of Rock. My mistake that Stevie Nicks harmonizing with Lindsey Buckingham. You can hear her distinctive voice very clearly.
It’s Buckingham singing lead, she is harmonising with him.
@@timmytadhgh yea in concert he’s from start to finish, stevie comes in at parts with the rest of the band
Lindsey Buckingham was singing lead vocals on the song
Stevie will forever be my queen but the official queen of Rock is Janis Joplin
Imagine hearing this for the first time. I personally heard it 4,000 times in 1977 alone.
Same, but I was only born in 1995 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
I know... I have no idea how many times I have heard this song. It will never bore me.
The joy in watching them discover these incredible songs....whew. 🥰
I heard it the first time from Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Born in 2003
Rumours is one of the greatest albums of all time. “Dreams” is a personal favourite but “Gold Dust Woman” and “Go Your Own Way” are certified ‘bangers’.
I also recommend “Rhiannon”, “Tusk” and “Edge of Seventeen”. You won’t regret it.
Agreed!
Yaaassss... TUSK!

Rhiannon
Love them all, but Tusk is an experience
Don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but this is their only song that EVERY band member collaborated on. So it was personal for all 5.
Never heard this...Wow. Makes me want to go check out the whole album.
Do it.
It is the best. Always clean my house to that album.
You WONT regret it
Rumours, one of the best albums of all time. Every song is great
That album is one of the best albums ever
Definition of a bad ass: Taylor Swift sings songs about her exes...Stevie Nicks made him play lead guitar! ✌❤😎
LOL!!!!!
Haha true
Hahaha best comment.
And he made her sing on songs dissing her, and Christine had her husband play on a song praising her lover.
Truth! She’s a badass 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
Chris Isaak - Wicked Games
Pink Floyd - Wish You were Here
Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen
Yes, Edge of Seventeen!!!
Ooh yes wicked games I love it!!
Edge of Seventeen is about Tom Petty and his wife... Tom Petty Breakdown would be great
Kimberly Denmark The meaning and content of the song was about Lennon’s and her uncle’s death. The title, “Edge of seventeen “ was inspired by Tom Petty’s wife, Jane. She was talking about them having met at the “age of seventeen “. But because of Jane’s strong Southern accent, Stevie heard “edge” instead of “age”and asked to use the title as inspiration.
fade away my love they did Edge of Seventeen!
It does my heart good to see this generation appreciate the music of my generation.
I was about your ages when this came out. Fleetwood Mac is a great band.
When people now listen to this song and band for the first time they still really like them
Agreed! I get genuinely excited when I see younger generations enjoying and appreciating classic music. ☺ As a millennial who has always loved old blues and rock 'n' roll.
The silence being employed in this song...masterful. Know when to drop that beat right off...
Rumors is by far one of the greatest albums ever made. We’ve seen them live twice before and they are nothing but amazing. Stevie Nicks has a definitive voice. Christine Mcvie also amazing. My favorite Fleetweed Mac are Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Dreams, Tusk, & Songbird. There is a reason they are in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Stevie Nicks entered as a solo artist.
Fleetwood Mac and Rumors
They lost something when they lost Lindsey Buckingham. Listen to his Fleetwood Mac song “I’m So Afraid” and watch the video and you will see what he brought to the Mac.
One of the few albums with a solid 10 on pitchfork
The thing that made the album so soulful and emotional was all the turmoil the band was going through when they made it. There were two couples in the band who both were breaking up and the fifth member was going through a divorce. The Chain was the only song they all five collaborated on and were credited with. The Chain is kind of the bondage which held the band together which is their belief that the band was more important than their individual conflicts. The emotions in all the songs on the album was very real.
Jon Mohney I love watching Stevie and Lindsey sing this song AT each other in concert. A lot of love, hate and passion.
How can you not love these two?
Maybe there is hope for us after all!
I am a 59 year old grandmother from Oklahoma. You have no idea how cool it was for me to see you both enjoying a song that I could NEVER go to town on Friday or Saturday night without having in our cassette player, back in the late 70’s. You guys made my night. As we used to say in the old days,(lol), Rock on.
Young black men listening to the music loved by old white people. Are we really that different? Bless you guys, you make me smile.
Young black men listening to music loved by old white people originated by old old black people. We're full circle!

@JorgeJR I mean technically the first people on earth were black so I would win! But all fun don’t take it so seriously pal

Music knows no colour differences. It’s for all of us! You guys are so much fun to watch.
I'm 16 again. Hanging with friends in their basement(yes, like that 70's show) and we're all just listening to this entire album LOUD. I still feel right back there anytime this plays. Thanks for another trip down here memory lane and the feeling of hearing this for the 1st time. Love it here.
OMG for sure.

Exactly, right. We literally would hang out at a friend's basement and have a few "that 70's show" moments. Some of the Best times of my life!! LOL.

‘Sounds like a bunch of cowboys fixing to go to war’ is both the funniest and the most apt description of this song’s intro. Love these vids!
"Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac just recently got popular via tiki tok by a user. Def listen to that one! It's beautiful
Oh it certainly is. So funny when I saw that Tik Tok. Stevie's voice is so awesome and dreamy.
That's one of my favourites
Dreams is my favorite song.. yes please react to it

"Dreams".... yesssssss
I love seeing people’s first reactions to songs that most of us think are fairly common. There’s just something so special about how music makes people light up.

Rest In Peace Murray Walker
“You Can Go You’re Own Way” Best breakup song written by Nicks to Buckingham and he had to sing it all the time....🥴
You have it backwards. Buckingham wrote it about Nicks.
Yeah and the song is actually called "Dreams" 😆
Buckingham wrote that to Stevie Nicks.
oh my, Google it. Stevie wrote DREAMS for Lindsey.
It's my favorite FM song and yes Buckingham Just owns it
For my generation, Rumours was the ablum in everybody's collection.
This album needs to be in the collection of all generations! ❤️
Also a total time travel favorite.
My mom had 2 copies of this album ❤️
Rumours has definitely stood the test of time. Excellent!
Still my favourite album, my favourite group and Stevie Nicks is my favourite female singer. Just wonderful.
3 things:
1- i got this video recommended by yt thank goodness and i only clicked to see how they reacted to the bass/drums epic ending we all love
2- these are the kind of friends we all need so they would actually listen to the music we recommend them
3- i found myself banging my head alongside them at the end, it never fails to make me wanna just vibe with the rhythm

Sunshine, blue skies, no humidity and 80° here in Kentucky USA.
One of the greatest bands to grace the planet. Watch them live and you will witness what makes a band great. They are all masters of their instruments and are perfection together.
I really like how y'all point out the old west duel vibes of the first verses, that's definitely what it is. One of my favorite songs. I love how Fleetwood Mac really let's their instruments talk. It's almost like you could listen to just the instrumentals and know what the song is about. Definitely with the guitar.
Such a 1970's vibe. Fleetwood Mac really had some great songs.
Stevie wrote a whole album about how much of a jerk Lindsay is. got him to sing backup on it that's power!😏😏😏
@jim ward well it WAS released in 1977 😘
I love that knowing nothing of the "lore" of the band, they immediately picked up on the tension.
Have they done 'Go Your Own Way'? Boys, this was written by Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac about Stevie Nicks when she broke up with him. Despite being really pissed off by what he said about her in the song, she is one of the female voices you hear in the chorus and they performed it live together for over 30 years when touring with FM
Yeaaa
For anyone who didn't know, part of 'The Chain' was used as the intro music for the Formula One show on Channel 4, it was formerly used by the BBC for the same programme.
Fleetwood Mac morphed from never really listening to them up until I was about 28 to them becoming my favourite all time band by the time I was 32. Unbelievable band.
“Edge of Seventeen” by Stevie Nicks (from Fleetwood Mac) will give you goosebumps! Also, no one realizes how much behind the scenes stuff happens when you’re running a channel! I get it!
Sure, what would you know
She actually got that riff from The Police's Bring On The Night and changed the backbeat.
Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel with the music video!
THIS IS A MUST!!
Y. E. S. Please
Yes yes yes
I was thinking about requesting this one!
Forty years later and this album is still consistently in the top ten best albums ever...songs like this are the reason.
And if you only saw them back in the day to this song .. the anger conflict and heart break going on in the group .. gives those drums and angry vocals a whole new meaning

Seals & Croft : Summer Breeze! (makes me feel fine!) PLLLEEEAASE!!!
Looks like the magic and allure of Stevie Nicks has not lost it's power. She's still stealing the hearts of young men everywhere since the 70's.
I'm black and in their age range but I knew who she was because my dad likes Stevie's voice. She had a cameo and performance on American Horror Story: Coven- the best season of that series. She's in a scene as herself along with legend Jessica Lange. Her voice is still incredible. She's right on piano. I'm sure you can find a clip on CZcams. I think that was like 2013.

So glad you guys finally did a Fleetwood Mac song! While not my favorite song from them, “The Chain” definitely highlights every member of the band and their particular skills... from the great group harmonizing, to Mick’s awesome drum work, to John’s down and dirty bass lines, to Lindsey’s powerful guitar work... one of the GOAT songs! Definitely check out “Dreams” and also “Rhiannon” ... both highlight Stevie’s haunting, angelic voice.

songs like this happen when you have equally multi talented members in the band who can sing and write music. you cannot go wrong with Fleetwood Mac or the Eagles. Thanks guys for your fresh take on my Era of music... I am enjoying more music than ever with your reviews you guys are awesome.
These two cuties 🤣 enjoying Fleetwood Mac
The part of the song where it shifts into the bass guitar and solo section at 4:50, was used for years in England as the intro music for the BBCs coverage of Formula 1 motor racing. To a lot of British people this song represnts cars going *really* fast, and it's even more badass as a result lol
Also, on the subject of amazing British tv show theme songs, you should check out the theme song for the BBCs coverage of Snooker! I'm not even being funny, it's actually a belter of a tune! The BBC took a little known song called Drag Racer by Doug Wood Band and used it for the snooker, but you'd never guess that it would become the theme tune for such a 'quiet' game like snooker lol.
Try “Rhiannon”, “Landslide”, “Edge of Seventeen” those are Stevie Nicks best IMO.

Yes! The shimmering guitar. The potent misery of the lyrics. I'd love to see them do this one.
What makes this song lightyears better. Is understanding what they are singing about and how much meaning there is to this song to the members of the band. In a nutshell. When everything was at it's worst the chain is what kept them together. There's more to it then that. But that's the basic meaning.
This is my favorite song by them. Wait until the bass towards the end.
You guys need to listen to EVERY track on that album. It’s a masterpiece.
Lol...stole my comments
"Cowboy war about to start." Oh, man, darned close. The whole band was having affairs and divorcing each other, and the only thing that kept them together at the time was their business contracts. That's what the song is about. The entire album is excellent. You two are reviewing the music from when I was your age. Love ya both!

Fleetwood Mac are such solid musicians and play/harmonize so tightly together - truly excellent music for these two gentlemen to hear! BTW guys, just fyi, Stevie Nicks is part of Fleetwood Mac and the song "Chain", as with most of their tunes, has 4 people singing it. Glad you enjoyed it!
They do a song called Silver Springs, hauntingly good.
Man if that song doesn’t give you the feels you don’t have a soul
Truly one of their best.
Oh yeah!! That would be a great one for them to listen 🎧 to!
Love that song and Sara
This is one of the greatest albums ever...the great thing about this band ; three great songwriters (one guy ,two girls) singers , each with their unique voice and songwriting skill
Y'alls reaction is exactly why all of your fans kept requesting it. We knew you'd really enjoy 😊.
Fleetwood Mac... Rumours is the soundtrack of a big part of my life. I named my daughter Rhiannon ( we are Welsh) first saw them when I lived in Florida in the 90’s ... sound wasn’t great and nose bleed seats. Took my daughter to see them at Wembley 2 years ago. Even though Lyndsey wasn’t with them, it was just fabulous. Great seats and we cried when Stevie sang “ Rhiannon” .... so happy to see these guys appreciating my kind of music. I can’t stop watching them. 😀
The "cobweb thing" is called a tumbleweed.
Is that what they were talking about!!! 🤣🤣🤣
lol I thought they said cowboy thing and where talking about a showdown
They young..
Lol I thought maybe they meant a dream catcher. Cool cool
I was looking for this comment.
Finally! Fleetwood Mac!! Thanks y’all!
My dad had to go to defensive driving due to a speeding ticket because of this song. I was in the car jamming with him. Miss you dad, it was totally worth it. Thanks for my love for music, and the Shazam music encyclopedia in my head.
I grew up with this song and loads more of Fleetwood Mac. My mum bought this as her first album when she was a teenager.
