This was a fun one to record, but for some reason really difficult to edit. I think I'm just not used to commentating over creating yet, so trying to piece together a lot of broken commentary I wasn't too happy with was kinda hard, but I am happy with how it turned out in the end. Let me know if you want more creating content, because I feel like I could try and continue them, even though I'm certainly not an amazing creator lol - Hry

hi, as someone who was making modern for 3 months now, i find your try at modern extremely awesome!
my only complaint is, how the green-ish color feels..a bit muddy?? i dont know but a more vibrant green would've worked imo. same applies for the pink. also cool structures

i would love a part 2! your videos are amazing. one tip i have is to never be happy with your colours, and constantly tweek them because they wont always be right from the get go, check if making them brighter or darker is better or just changing the hue a little. keep up the good work
Nice block design, although I would recommend you don't make invisible spikes, you want the player to understand how they died, and it makes the level frustrating for certain people.

@@Vestige_ ah, if I upload the level in the video, the id is always shown at the end. If it's not, then I don't upload the level, probably because it isn't finished, like in this case
Just make sure you turn on "dont fade" and "dont enter" for the structures unless you want to do some kind of transition effect with them, great progress!

i remember watching this when it first came out, and man i loved this so much! i even tried EXACTLY copy the level and i did a good job i'd say. well i lost that along with alot of other levels im pretty sad but its ok love the channel love the videos btw

Modern looks pretty cool but maybe in a future video you could try building in a futuristic style? Kinda like Xender Game
It's been years since I last plaued gd, I'm so happy that the modern style is not over decorated. When I played, so much stuff would be going on in most featured levels to the point it overstimulated me and made it impossible for me to play. Glad to see things be readable lol

i highly recomend to you to use blending , disable the bg effect and use dont fade and dont enter. the ground should be black btw.

Not sure if this is rate worthy, but it does look good. If you want to improve, put some subtle glow on tops of blocks and maybe have some gray spots in it kinda like acu. for color combos I think orange and green and purple and yellow looks good for modern.

I have an idea for a video: you can try making a block design of a style you are not as good at everyday for a month and see how you end up

decoration idea: make a layout, and decorate it, but your not allowed to delete or make any of the blocks you used for the layout invisible or mask them or anyhting like that

Some things to improve it: Dont make the bg the gradient one just use the blanked and the color way brighter. Make the ground completely black so the old textures dont ruin it. for the different shaders and layers of the brighter objects in the block design, make them the blanked too u dont need these old deco blocks it only has to feel a bit more complete. All colors shut be very bright so it actually fits the acu style.
PS: dont shade dont enter and glow of.

That advice is surprisingly helpful... lol
The first thing i thought of when I see those 2 colors are gumdrops from Bee Swarm Simulator.
Little tip : do not start decorating when doing a layout
start to replace the normal blocks with the hollow blocks, and then start with the decoration
