Everything old is new again. Since I thought San Andreas looked like a shinier version of the 1974 disaster film Earthquake I figured why not a trailer update using the template of San Andreas' dramatic one for Charlton Heston, George Kennedy, Ava Gardner, Genevieve Bujold, Richard Roundtree, Victoria Principal, Lorne Greene AND Walter Matthau trying to survive their own shaking story.

A 43y/o film but a fresh feel to it with this trailer....brilliant!
Man this was a cold movie back in the day!! So much drama and Great acting but a huge cast of noble actors/actresses!!
For me, this excellent "retro trailer" has special meaning. I was at UNIVERSAL in 1973 while this motion picture was in final production. I met Kip Niven a few months after EARTHQUAKE's release - he played Walter Russell, the young seismologist who predicts the quake. This picture was made on a $7 Million budget... today, it would cost over $31.5 Million to make the exact same picture. Thanks HaphazardStuff! ☺

WOW! I'm a big disaster movie fan and remember Earthquake in Sensurround in the theaters. The clarity of the video is awesome. Even San Andreas can't compare to the original. Let me know if you do a trailer for The Towering Inferno, another classic that Skyscraper can't top, no pun intended.
I love fan-made retro trailers. Older trailers don't quite capture the feel of the movies but yours really do them justice.

I'd forgotten how big Earthquake's effects were! And find myself caring about the characters as well. If only San Andreas's trailer had grabbed me at the same level. Now I'm a little sorry I missed it on the big screen- but only a little.

This trailer is 50x better than the movie was - it actually does make the film look as though it could have been substantially good. But, when does any film surpass the trailer. Great Job!

I was one of the people who saw "Earthquake" the first time around and you've surpassed any of the advertising I've seen for this movie.---This movie is perhaps a little obscure but would you consider an updated trailer for "The Last Voyage"?

This trailer makes me want to see this movie again! I loved EARTHQUAKE and feel that it has a special place in the minds of many who grew up with it and have always loved it. Sure it is not as realistic but is honest enough to put so many others to shame. They should thank technology for getting the movies they do nowadays. I think that this one accomplishes what so many others don't - character development!

Hard to impress upon kids today what a BIG DEAL films like this were back then. We didn't have Justice League and Spider Man coming out every other weekend like today. When this got advertised on tv no one had seen anything like this at that time. It was destination viewing. You saw the truck flip off the hiway and it was...."I am going to THAT!!"

It's a true pity that studios are afraid to death not to make films like this in this manner,everything today has the look of a fake video game,nothing real or tangible anymore. You're better off finding the originals and watching them. Having said that, the trailer is not bad, there are parts of it that work and parts that don't.
