What a great list. Love warm ambers, one of the favorites are Ambre Lumiere by Molinard, Casamorati 1888 by Xerjoff, Miss Dior Le Parfum and of course Grand Soir.
A great selection! I think I'll prefer Ambre Nuit, Grand soir, Mabre sultan, and of course, Ambre russe, one of my absolute favorite! Barkhane is gorgeous !

Gucci Eyes of the Tiger is a nice amber as well. I know you already have it but interesting take on it. Like a gourmand amber. Minimalist but gorgeous

Just received some ambers from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier - beautiful! And also received Parfum d'Habit. Stunning.
Amber is my absolute favorite genre. I just finished my bottle of “Grand Soir” as it actually started to bore me a bit😬 “Ambra Aurea” is, to me, still the be all and end all of ambers. “Le Lion” reminds me a lot of it as well!
Thanks for this list, I love amber scents. Definitely want to try the one from Isbey and Alghabra. My favorites amber scents are Grand Soir and Ambre Cashmere Intense by Parfums di Nicolai. You should definitely try it.

I would add Annick Goutal's Amber Fetiche and Tom Ford's Amber Absolute. which I'm lucky enough to have a huge decant from 2010. AMAZING PERFUME! Tango is "missing."

What would you recommend to get between Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens and Noir Ambre by Issey Miyake?
My favorite amber is Absolu pour le Soir and it’s a shame it was discontinued. I wish I had gotten a back up bottle as I was just waiting for it to appear back on the MFK website. I guess that day will never come. I’m assuming that’s why it wasn’t on your list, but it was nice to hear it get a shoutout. Thanks again!

Molinard Ambre is a great amber scent! On the smokier side with a great incense note with sweetness in the background.

Dior Ambre Nuit might just be the most beautiful smell on earth for me. Unfortunately, it only lasts a few hours on me, like most fragrances. :(

I have grand soir very and I've wanted ambre Russo for yrs, but I have Amouge opus Vi while it leans a more masculine than grand soir IMO its amazing and last..1 bottle will last a lifetime lol

I haven't dug into those scents but I remember enjoying them when I first sampled it back when it first launched.
amber vs ambergris is a silly comparison they literally only sound similar completely different material
I think the point is that alot of people don't know that. Seems like its more of an explanation of the point you are making.
Grand Soir #1
I’m craving amber so bad and I just can’t find a good one. (At least one I can get my nose on at my local Saks or Nieman’s.) I thought Grand Soir was the one, but I think I’ve become too sensitive to the molecular nature of his frags. Serge Lutens’ Ambre Sultan has my attention, but I haven’t tried it yet. Trying to determine if it’s going to be a blind buy.

I don’t like amber nuit at all, I thought I would and it was disappointing. I love Grand Soir, it’s my husbands favorite on me.

How do they classify “Amber” fragrances that are not sweet? I’m not a big fan of Syrupy sweet Ambers, (Heavy Benzoin or Vanilla) which tend to lean towards Gourmand territory. Spicy Fragrances such as Tobacco Vanille, Black Phantom, Carlisle, or Oajan have become favorites during colder months.
Try Tauer L'Air Du Desert Marocain that's not uber sweet! :)
