I agree with you. Start off with a little bit of Molecule 2 or Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume to enhance the longevity and scent trail.
This is such an underrated house. My favorites are Salado, Palo Santo and Botafumeiro. Great video as always!

I'm so happy you picked Carner! it's one of the nicest discoveries for me this year, great quality, very elegant and easy to wear yet unusual and recognisable without shouting. and relatively affordable among niche brands. Although I really liked Rima, Palo Santo stole my heart :) It was something I had been looking for and its such a unusual and really comforting scent with interesting development on the skin. Love it. Mind you, I might one day get Rima as well.... and Tardes is in my spring shopping list, being absolutely angelic scent! Thank you for a lovely review, keep safe!

Finalyy I bought some samples from Carner Barcelona. I got Tardes, Rima XI, El Born, Palo Santo and Fig Man (I adore fig note). And I have to say just wow! After my first impression my favorites are Rima XI, Tarder and Palo Santo. Tarder smells just like plastic dolls or My Little Ponies, btw Heeley's Iris de Nuit got little bit of that same vibe, and Rima XI has that citrus pastry and chai latte combination feeling. This house seems to be definitely my cup of tea and thanks to you Josephine I got to know this house
By chance, I opened the video while wearing El Born. Also gave my partner a sample of Tardes last week and she is 'in love!' with it. Tardes is a thing of beauty, indeed!
Had a partial bottle of D600 a while back and really enjoyed it, very unisex. Need to explore the house further. Enjoyed ❤️❤️

I bought Tardes recently as I loved your descriptions and I can’t smell it at all. Along with it I was sent a sample of Sweet William and I love that one, it lasts for days. I can’t smell notes like you, it just smells so pretty. Not sure what season this would be best for, I think I’d wear it all year round.
I have all of these except Latin Lover. In it's place I've got Sweet William which is one I've been wearing a ton lately and has made me a fan of sweet, fresh, woody fragrances. I find all of Carner's fragrances very unique and addictive. One of my favorite houses. ❤️ And I 100% agree Palo Santo is NOT a safe blind buy. The combo of sourish vetiver and woods with the sweet lactonic accord is a challenge to say the least.

Love Tardes, I bought a sample and tried it. The smell is amazing, but on my skin the longevity was a bit short.
On my skin El BORN the Licorice is very strong which I absolutely love! Haven't tried the others but I have Fig Man and Salado both fantastic, Salado is my Favorite Summer Scent. I'm dying to try the Bestial Collection.
Nice choices 👌🏼 The Bestial collection is interesting. The one that stood out the most to me was Drakon. Super classy 😃

I have and love Tardes. I also have El Born, but it smells more boozy, like rum, than honey on me. I recently got a set of samples and want even more now😜.

I’ve been having so much fun with the Carner woods discovery set. I can’t seem to find the love for Tardes that so many people have. However, I just bought the Rima XI and it is all that you said and more. Yay for me🥳 Keep up the great work you are a fountain of information with great taste.
It didn't click between me and Tardes either. The plum in it is somehow very overwhelming to me, or maybe it's the combination of almond and plum that I just can't get used to. But I also do love Rima XI!! 😍

I have a couple travel sprays. El Born which I enjoy a lot in the colder weather and then Fig Man & Costarella both of which are great in the warmer months. Costarella has a awesome opening, but only lasts a few hours, but that gives me the excuse to reapply and have the opening again.

I always click faster than lighting on your vids!❤😘 Recently got full bottles of Palo Santo (review coming this week) and Tardes (on your recommendation of course 😊) Am I imagining or does Tardes smell like woodier, less sweet Lolita Lempicka? My nose cant stop making that connection and I'm not sure how I feel, I get the same anise vibes 🤪

Really enjoyed the video nice job. I really like El Born its a really nice multi faceted vanilla. Also love Fig Man. I need to try D600 im about to buy a decant and Besos also sounds really nice to me, I also was considering Rima XI and Tardes and don't mind scents that lean fem but perhaps too feminine? Have since years the carner cuirs it’s one of the best perfumes I have ever had personally for men.
Tardes... OMG. Almond and Heliotrope together. It's amazing. The gourmand in me also loves Rima XI. I can't decide which one to order. I got the sample set and really, they are all amazing-- except for the sea based one. Marine scents and salt don't work well on my skin.

Team Palo Santo I finally purchased my full bottle. Although I did love Tardes and even D600, I’m still on the fence about El Born. Rima XI smells more of bubble gum to me, it doesn’t wear well on my skin, it’s more feminine for sure. The Woody Collection is phenomenal to say the least. I would definitely suggest anyone buy a sampler box.

love your enthusiasm in your videos! I just got my sample pack from Carner and they are beautiful scents. Some of them don’t have the lasting power and I used to not buy them then. What is your opinion on this issue? should I focus a bit less on longevity and more on the loveliness of the scent?

Hi Josephine. Now you made so curious about Rima XI. I must try it. I blind bought Bois Doré from Van Cleef & Arpels because from your rendering it sounded like something I would love and it became my favorite perfume in less than one week ( Also bought and fell in love with Vanilla Vibes 😍, Hibiscus Palm from Aerin😍 and I don’t have enough words to say how much I love Lalibela from Memo) thank you.

Great video Josephine. I love the house of Carner Barcelona: El Born, Palo Santo and D600. I love them all - especially El Born, love the honey, vanilla resinous composition. I agree Palo Santo is more challenging - the vetiver adds an interesting element to the creamy and boozy frgagrance. D600 has a more formal feel to me with the iris in the composition - something I wear more often when I am wearing a suit.
D600 does get a lot of love doesn’t it! Unfortunately this is one that simply doesn’t work on my skin as much as I would love it to!

Tardes smells like Mark & Spencer "New York" (especially those sprays that they don`t sell anymore, in a black bottle). Identical fragrance for a fraction of the price ;) It would be interesting to know which is the copy !

I have Cuirs and simply adore it. I'm planing to buy Rima XI again. I have tried to approach to D600 without success. Sandor 70's is rich, leathery, boozy, tobacco composition, for me more masculine. (Sorry for my poor english)

The lactonic quality of Palo Santo choked me when I first sampled, and I love scents like HP but this felt suffocating. Ironic? I’m not sure but I’ll try again this winter in the frigid cold. But Tardes, ❤️
What about D600? I love iris and I didn't know its new aspect of iris or similar to dior homme line

Hi Josephine. I blind bought Tardes because of your successive recommendations in couples of video. Honestly, when I smelled it from the bottle, I was disappointed. It reminded me of the smell of cars and the times I suffered from car sick. But everything has changed since I sprayed it on my skin. It’s sweet, elegant and unique. I enjoy the most when the fragrance is dried out on my skin. The fragrance lasts on my skin for approximately 5-6 hours. The projection isn’t so strong. Overall, lovely fragrance. Thank you for your recommendation.

My favourite type of list and the person I can listen to for hours ☺. I have two fragrances from this brand and they are fantastic. You should get a sample of Ramon monegal also a great niche house from Spain and I think you would love their collection. I always love your analogies don't make me fall in 😍 with too many scents

@@jusderose I have megalium and botafumerio..i think I'm more incline towards woody/winter autumn smell. The sillage isn't powerful but it's good. I have yet to sample Palo Santo but you like it and it might be in my list of next purchases. But monegal house is wonderful I have couple from them too

Interesting you don't mention the loads of iris in Tardes. It is indeed very good! I also have and lov e D600- the best vetiver for me!

Initially I thougjt it is like a very airy see-through rose, then it powders and sweetens up by the vanilla. A the same time it is fresh not weighed down by powderiness or heady florals. Powderiness is really nice, not old make up bag at all, really delightful and feminine. I bought it after her positive review and yet I was still surprised it was even better than I imagined it.

Which perfume would you advise to a woman who (1) likes to have a universal taste for perfumes that are pleasant to all ages and inoffensive, (2) wouldn't wear 95% of the perfumes she sees on sale but I can't afford to (and shouldn't) buy perfumes that are too expensive except for something like a wedding, and (3) liked Don Algodon in her teens, then Romance by Ralph Lauren, 212 by Carolina Herrera, Be Delicious by DKNY, Jour by Hugo Boss, Lilly of the Valley by Penhaligon's, Chloé EDP by Chloé, and Pera Granita by Guerlain? Which of these is the best, in your opinion, if I may ask? From these I am curious about the 1st and especially the last one but I would have to try the perfume, since you seem to like more perfumes than I would.

@@jusderose Thank you. I forgot to add that I also like all the Dolce versions (especial the original one) by D&G. Also, I probably like fewer perfumes because I don't go to the best places, whereas you probably know where the best shops are. Thank you for your publications, they are high quality ones. Your knowledge is very extensive and your presentation skills are excellent: you are able to improvise, you use plenty of adjectives to describe the perfumes, your perception is obviously very fine, and even your French pronunciation is excellent. I just think it is important to convey the message to your audience that perfumes are luxury products, so one needs to think carefully before buying one.
Where do you recommend that we get samples if we’re in the US? 💗
I'm not sure in if Josephine would know because she is based out in London. However, San Francisco has a store called ZGO Perfumery has this house and I believe Angel Beauty Supply in Oakland CA has it. Give them a call and perhaps you can order a sample if you are not in the Bay Area.
