Actually, the whole Eastern Serbia is aware what ''pula'' means in Romanian and it is used in the same meaning as you guys are using it, but I will not mention it here :D It doesn't matter if someone understand Romanian, unfortunately youngsters do not understand mostly, but everyone is using ''pula'' and ''futuc'' (not sure how it should be written but you know what I mean - F word) from school to senior citizen.

Do you maybe use word ''pulajka''?
People in Eastern Serbia frequently use ''pulajka'' as some kind of dimunitive of the word ''pula''. Not sure if it is diminutive in Romanian or it is some new serbo-romanian word made here. Since younger people mostly do not speak Romanian, just Serbian, but there is many elder people that actually can speak Romanian, so pula(jka) remains even for the younger generations lol

Romanian and Serbs go way back. We have fought together against Ottomans, against Hungarians, held together in all though times for the Orthodox people in Balkans. Unlike Bulgarians, Romanians always REFUSED to join any attack on Serbia. Even when pressed into the war with Serbia, like in WW2, Romanians did not send a single soldier to fight us and refused to take an inch of Serbian land.
We are forever grateful to them for that, and we will always stand with our Romanian brothers, whatever may come.

@BNL only false claim here was that claim that Bulgars are friends of Romanians. As for the claims about Slavs and non-Slavs, Bulgars, like all other Balkan Slavs, have the same three most represented haplogroups in their population: I2, R1a and E1b1b1 (same is with Romanians too with slightly more percent of R1b than the others). So either Bulgars are Balkan Slavs either both Balkan Slavs and Bulgars together are not Slavs but something else. Old Turkic tribe of Bulgars wasn't Slavs, but they basically left nothing but the name for your people. At least in genes there is almost nothing from those Turkic Bulgars - probably because they wasn't even tribe but rather pack of warriors who came on Balkan, imposed their power in that part of peninsula and since there was no influx of new "tribe" members (since they wasn't a tribe), relatively small amount of those who came on Balkan, in time merged with Slavs and disappeared. On the other hand if you want to say that Bulgars are Thracians (who are related to both Illyrians and Dacians) than all "Balkan Slavs" and Romanians are again your cousins... So you can't distinct from "Balkan Slavs". Bulgars, Balkan Slavs and Romanians actually belong to the same group of people. And guess what? All three of those are related to present day Hungarians too (yep! similar thing like with Turkic Bulgars) - almost nothing of Asiatic genes in their population and plenty of genes same as in Slavic population (precisely mostly similar to present day Slovaks). So that barrier of non Slavic nations between Balkan Slavs and rest of the Slavs is actually just an illusion artificially made by imposing non Slavic languages to those people...

@BNL Good for you... But that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of people you call your own has the same genetics as all other Balkan Slavs. PS: what an irony... When one 21st century Bulgar rather want to be partly Greek than to have anything with Slavs... Cheers!

Actually it dates back to Byzantine empire and it is a version of Greek letter B(beta). The original meaning is king of kings, ruling over kings. Later on, especially during late 20th century people started using “only unity saves the Serbs” as a motto.

This is totally not true. If at something Ottomans were very precise and good in writings and archiving things they saw so not only on religion census but as well about nationalities and tribes that lived under their territorial rule over the centuries. Not only 1455 shows this but later years as well shows who were there before and who was settling Kosovo in waves coming down from the mountains in large masses. This is not some Serbian invented story, it is the official Ottomans archive which you are able to see even today if you go to Istanbul and want to take a look (unfortunately Albanians ignore this clear factual terrain archive).

Rogy N This is kind of wrong dear! Under ottoman rule u were ottoman if u converted to Islam! This is why the Ottoman Empire grew as larg as it did🧐! It is the only reason why it could grow as larg as it was! It considered its people to be ottoman based on religion and not nationality! Otherwise the blood would have been flowing from one end of the empire to the other End! And the empire really really big!
So if people converted to Islam they did count as Ottoman! Mostly people did so because they had to pay taxes!
Taxes were crucial for the existence of the Ottoman Empire so the empire could finance itself! This is why there are exact numbers of those who did pay taxes meaning who did not belong to the empire meaning who did not convert to Islam! And those who did not convert to Islam were Slavic people and also a few Albanians! But majority of Albanians actually did convert to Islam in order to be left to live in peace and not be bothered tortured and killed by ottomans and taxes but I said that!😸🙀🙀
But see even before the Ottoman Empire and before Roman Empire u had Albanian tribes living in that region! Long before Kosovo was called Kosovo is was Dardania! If u need some history book from different perspectives ofc I can recommend some ☺️ ✌🏼and even today u have Albanian tribes there! In Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, North Greek, because that land originally belong to Albanians and therefore I find Albanians even
