You should do a series on the five families... a little history behind each one and who you knew from each family
Michael, this is a great idea. Please do this
YES YES YES! If you can and wouldnât mind I agree it would be fascinating!
Perfect idea
on the subject and MichaelYou guys understand that if he were to do such series, considering the amount of data on the subject and Michael Franseze's life experience, he won't be able to do any other videos, or he'll have to work overtime which I wouldn't want him to. It will bring down the quality in his job, which is the main factor of this man's videos that draws us to him
That being said, I couldn't disagree with you guys it's a brilliant idea, but I think it's supposed to have it's own series on Netflix or Amazon ... etc
5 family Wednesdays
I understand that the Franzese men lived the mob life, but if the grandmother gave birth to 19 kids, she may well have been the toughest in the family.
She really is the most like physically badass by far
@ravi oli Did you even watch the video? The only one of the 19 kids who went into the mob life was sonny franzese.
Absolutely!
@ravi oli too hard to watch the first 2 minutes, right?
By the 9th they probably just fell out
MF: "I could talk about it for days."
Me: "Yes, go ahead."
Right lol
Exactly! I could sit and listen to Mr. Franzese for hours.
Yup lol
sitting and having a drink with this man as you talk to him and listen, I can imagine that.
Itâs almost 1 am and I got school but I canât stop watching these videos
I love that Mr. Franzese tells these stories in a way that teaches honor and respect at the same time teaching the hard earned lessons he's already learned from his past. Very honorable. Very respectful.
My suggestion for a movie is: A Bronx Tale PS: Much respect for you Mr. Franzese, keep up the good work and thanks for providing the content
Great choice
Literally just finished watching it for 1000th time
Yup, thats a great movie
No doubt. One of my favorite movies of all time. A lot of good life lessons in it too. 'Nothing like wasted talent' and we all know tons of people who represent that phrase
I love this film
Just when I think I'm out, Michael Franzese pulls me back in...
Michael: "Just a warning, I don't do regular interviews, its more like a conversation."
The World: "YESSSSSSS!!!!!!"
I love that way much better, feels organic. I especially like listening to Mr. Franzese, from the accent, to the riveting and interesting stories, to the morals of the story, big and small. As long as you keep making them, Ill keep watching.
Who says "my father" more, Michael Franzese or Jackie Aprile? đ
Heh heh Jackie hehe
Haha good one
Draco Malfoy.
Stupid kid almost drown in 3" of water once

Hi Michael, I've been watching your vids and interviews for awhile now, and I appreciate your down-to-earth attitude and candor about your old life. My dad died this February as well, and had an interesting life. A big thing to take away from the death of a parent is to reflect on how the ripples a person makes in life eventually turn into waves, and we're the ones riding them. We're not stuck on those waves going in one direction; we have the power to use that momentum and guide where we want to go.
michael i started watching your videos this week and i have to say youâre a stand up guy and a great storyteller. you remind me a lot of my father. love the videos! keep it up!
I'm like a kid on Christmas morning when Uncle Mike posts a vid lol! RIP John 'Sonny' Franzese...truly the last of a dying breed! They don't make em like that anymore!
The epitome of a gangster , feared , respected and a stand up guy
50 years of honor and the man out lived the sentence. You can't make this stuff up God bless you Micheal and may your Father rest in peace!
He was a MAN, which is sayin a lot these days.
Sonny ok'd a hit on michael, real stand up guyđ€Šââïž
@@seansmith7462 honestly didnât have a choice. Doesnât make it ok but still
I could listen to this man talk for days lol....
I've always been interested in the life of a Made Man and all my questions have been answered for the most part and I've learned ALOT from watching these videos. Not just about the mob but you also learn a lot about who Michael Franzese is and what kinda person he is. Keep it up. Love your videos.
Pretty incredible to be able to listen these stories from you.
Very interested to hear more stories about old times.
Thanks for making these, these are much better than interviews!
I'm a simple guy, I see a Michael Franzese notification, I click.
Badda bing badda boom
You better click that link if you know whats good for you.. but you click the link, theres no problems ya know what i mean. Ay forget about it
@@michaelfranzese hey Mike I was wondering. When you're a made guy in the mob. Say you go to prison for a long time and you don't cooperate... are you still considered to be a made guy in the mob after many years being in prison and not on the street?
Sounds like Lucky Luciano in Boardwalk Empire would say that.
I would like to suggest "Casino" for Mob Movie Monday
Cheryl Fosburgh ooh I canât watch the end of that film. First time I saw it it made me sick.
was literally just about to comment this, glad someone else did
Great choice for mob Monday's! And rip Frank Culotta, his scenes in the film are interesting also lol great choice and what are your thoughts also about Mr. Culotta' role in casino as actor and all of that?
That movie was just too long, imo
He already said that he didn't think it depicted the life very accurately
I have been watching ur videos for 2-3 years and love them! By far my favorite person on CZcams!! I understand that after a while there just isnât to many more storyâs to tell but if there is any chance u have a few more ln the OL memory book would be awesome to here them! Long time subscriber and a huge fan I know coming from a random person on the internet it doesnât mean much but just wanna let u know how proud I am of u for starting a whole new legacy for yourself! Iâm a 3rd generation Sicilian my great grandmother and grandfather traveled to America by boat in the early 1900s and settled in the north end of Boston were there was a growing Italian community â& still is to this dayâ I hope everything is going good and wish u nothing but the best!
Any stories from your dad about the original guys like lucky Luciano, Vito genovese, frank costello, Meyer Lanksy etc
Absolutely!
I wanna know if he ever saw carlo gambino early on
My grandmother is Elizabeth Costello. The daughter of Joseph Costello.
This channel uploads a lot! I'm so happy I found it. The notification popped up on my phone and I got all excited. Perfect way to end the work day.
Can't wait for the Joe Pistone interview.
Me too. Joe is acting like a wise guy still. Fuggedaboutit.
Mr. Franzese, I'm a history guy, and I greatly appreciate this particular sit down. Nicely done! Your message and your videos are among my favorites, and I recommend them to friends and acquaintances regularly. I send my best from Seattle! Thanks again!
Michael thanks for uploading all of this content. Itâs been nothing short of absolutely fascinating. To see the man youâve become from your past life truly inspired!
I just woke up and back to the channel!! Notifications on!!
I could listen to these LESSONS forever.
Ur stories are good fam
Have always enjoyed watching your talks and interviews over the years, so I was really happy to find you have your own YT channel. Your discussions are always so interesting and candid, I can't recommend this channel enough đ
history is my favorite topic, and whether its taught in school or not, I enjoy it because you can learn a lot of life lessons from it, especially from people who have lived tough, dangerous lives but are still alive today, like you Michael!
I canât stop watching your stuff. Thank you so much for sharing your stories!
His dad was a criminal yes
He was the leader of the mob yes
But undeniably he was a manof his word... A true man through and through
@jeff at one point, before he went to prison and was released on parole once, Sonny Franzese was the underboss. Meaning that all orders and movements are discussed between him, Joe Colombo and his consiglieri. After what most of those orders are given to the capos and sometimes soldiers by him personally. If they gotta ask for the boss's opinion at the sitdown between themselves, they gotta ask for it from the underboss as he spends most time with him and the consiglieri is not always that reachable. He had his own guys, crew big enough and he certainly had influence. So he definitely had the closest position to being a leader and to many guys, he was the leader, as they saw him more often then Joe Colombo himself. It's just that Sonny was loyal to his boss and didn't had ambitions to take over, like Michael once said. But I suppose he certainly could have at some point. He was well respected by everyone and not one person ever said a bad word against him.
@Katie Rae thanks
My father went to school with your mother Tina copabianco in Brownsville, east new York. He did see Sonny many times in the neighborhood. Looked like a movie star,my father said@
Would love to hear about the NY Families' relationship with The Chicago Outfit a review of Casino
They did business together like any other family
Chicago outfit operates by itself. There are no families. They so business but are separate entities. Chicago also controls KC and Detroit. Kind of like how new York still controls NJ and Philly
Young Jedi was Cleveland on its own? I always wonder that
@@DH-ij9pe they where supported by the Outfit and the Genevese family's
I love your videos. You radiate so much positivity and I often listen to your videos during work. Helps me get through the day. Thanks and God bless you and your family.

Amazing story Michael. The info stored in your memory is invaluable. I detected slight sadness toward the end talking about your pop coming out of prison. Nice job Michael. Blessings
I agree with the people who mentioned A Bronx Tale. Great film. Chazz Palmenteri was excellent. Iâd like to hear what you think of it.
This guy has a way of keeping the listener glued to the screen. Love these vids
Let's review,:Once Upon A Time In America. Great movie.
Oh yea great movie

"Casino," would be a good one for Mob Movie Monday. Or maybe something more old school like, "The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre." (1967). Also "Bugsy" (1991) could be a good one.
These stories gives me chills in my cheekbones..
I can listening to this man talk all day!

Love hearing stories about the Cosa Nostra Old Timers like your father, Sonny Franzese! Real OG gangsters to the core!
Muchael, yiur endearing words mean a lot to me. He loved his family. You and your wife are a great example of good parenting. â€
All my life I listened to my elders' stories. Not just for the glory, horrors, excitement, but the lessons. Wisdom comes from experiences and if people would not just hear but listen, there is wisdom enough for all of us to navigate life in the manner in which we choose. Thank you sir for your experiences. Best Regards.

Wow! 15 aunts and 3 uncles! Iâd love to hear about your relationships with them. My only living aunt on my mothers side has cause many issues in my life. Reading the history of The 5 Families and its very intresting. The life has always intrigued me. Looking forward to more story telling! also Much respect to you Mr Michael Franzese.
Mr Franzese can do anything and be successful..I love this guy..he inspires a lot of people..I lost my best friend to Covid in January but all I do is listen to Mr Franzese's inspirational material...I think he would be a great president .lol
Would love to hear a review on Donnie Brasco! Loving the content sir, cheers from Long Island, NY!
God I love listening to Michael!!!! His dad was a LEGEND!!!
A couple days ago this channel had 140k subscribers, now it has 142k, this channel is growing and fast, nice going.
I could listen to you all day long.Love your channel.
I would like to see Michael reviewing some mob TV shows, like Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos. Also, I suggest a video about Michael's father during Prohibition and Great Depression.
That's amazing...50 years to the day...that's commitment my friends.
Micheal enjoyed this one, your dad was a stand up man .TY
Mr Franzese, If you have more stories from the old time the 20-30s i would love to hear them. and i think more would. Since there ain't much stories out, And you are the one of few who are the only ones who still know real stories about that life. Really like what you are doing out here now. Have a great day.
Love learning about the old school mafia, how it was back in the day.. I also love hearing the stories about your dad (Sonny), that was one amazing guy from the sounds of it.. Not to many people would say what he said to that judge and then actually do it, that's just unreal! The world needs a lot more of you and your dad in it!
The world needs more gangsters to do 50 years in prison?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Sopranos.
Cheryl Lynne That part is obviously not realistic, but other former mob guys have said the show is mostly accurate.
We found it entertaining but very unrealistic in comparison with the life. But hey itâs only a program. But we loved the characters created đđ»
Brilliant story Michael, thanks for sharing... you say that you could talk for days about your Dad, I bet all your subscribers would be willing to sit for days listening mesmerised... thanks again...
Mr. Franzese, I wish I could discuss publicly how much your advice is helping me. For now I'll just say thank you.
When men were men...not many people who are men of their word....great job Michael....born and raised in NYC and still here ....
Love hearing about the old days in the maifa it's such a love stor
My dad faced death on multiple occasions. He never wanted his children to go through what he did to get by. Listening to you and the many videoâs youâve made has brought back a few things he would repeatedly tell me almost everyday. 1. Mind your own business. 2. Think before you react 3. The Brave end up in one of 3 places, The hospital, Jail, or the grave(I disagree with a lot on number 3, but ultimately understand what he was trying to tell me). Thank you So much for your videoâs.
Much respect. So incredibly inspiring.
"You're not getting weak on me, are you?" Me from now on whenever I get down.
As for the movie to review, I'd actually like to hear your take on the ''Casino''.
Fantastic to hear the story of your father, you can see the respect and love. I felt the same about my family and father. đźđčđŠđș
Much respect Michael! I'm a big fan. Glad you found a way out of the life but alao grateful for the history. That life isn't to be taken lightly, a lot can happen, im glad you're safe and thanks for sharing with us..God bless
One of the best channels on CZcams! Also Mr Franzese, you've got incredible and very thick hair for your age! I think most guys, even those in their 20s and 30s - balding - envy your hair and would do anything to have this genetic!
I know more about the Mafia history than the US history at this point lol
Thx for the likes if u wanna help out pls check out my CZcams pls đ sorry for the promoting stuff

@mike deadass tho, realizing the propaganda they used to throw in our textbooks in highschool, I've never heard about any of this stuff at school once lol
đđđ i got WAY to invested over the years, and now Iâm a Mafia history expert đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
@mike Id go a step further and say its not just US history.
Well it's not all a lie. You gotta really pay attention in school growing up and do your own outside research. Problem is most kids especially these days don't do either. Also mob life been a part of American history for over 100 years
Micheal, thanks for sharing these interesting stories.
Thank you, Michael. Great video and a valuable lesson.
Mr Fransese have you ever crossed paths with James âwhiteyâ Bulger. And what do you think about his reign over Boston?
Sam Dunnett great question
Good question
Great question
Katie Rae any reason in particular? Iâm genuinely really curious
Sam Dunnett Whitey ran the winter hill gang in south boston. He had a few dealings with the mob in boston, mostly rival. Although he made a lot of money, he wasnât big enough as the new york familes and had no reach there. I like to say Whitey Bulger was a big fish in a little pond
I suggest to review '' casino ''
Keep up the brill videos really enjoyed these
1) Thank you for the regular content Captain. A film that I love and my late father always loved is On the Waterfront. It would be interesting to hear your general thoughts about that film.

1)Did you have any relations with russian mafia, and if you did, what's your opinion on them?
2) Have you seen HBO series broadwalk empire?Did your father or anyone you knew mentioned in the series? How realistic this series is?
Hope you answer my questions, wish you best of luck in this hard times.
Your show answered many questions ..great show.
Massively appreciate the stories and insight into the life. Iâve never aspired to be a gangster by any means but I find the life and especially the history fascinating.
