I'm not sure what you're actually implying or trying to say, in Elder's Lair these are both monsters you have to fight so they'll always show up during your playthrough, and I'm wearing layered armor, so it's just cosmetic. I don't remember what armor my character actually had on but layered armor allows you to wear whatever you want visually over your actual armor. Like the Hakum rider armor is only available as layered armor and it costs money. You can google how to buy / acquire layered armor for this game
@@ObjectoMenace Well, Velkhana kicked my a*s two times, before I managed to defeat it and I used the strongest armor against Ice I could craft before I fought him. When I encountered Fatalis at the end of the Lair, I accidently triggered the battle just with my HR Rathian Armor. It was a long fight, but I was victorious on first try. What I find fishy, is, that you normally encounter Fatalis after you battle Velkhana, so I expected Fatalis to be way more harder, but I killed him just using my playthrough gear (nothing special).
@@knightmisumi8896 OOOH I see, sorry I just didn't understand your comment at first. I think Fatalis seems a lot easier than it should be but in the Colosseum it is a long and pretty fun battle! My main gripe with Velkhana is how hard it is to find and battle it anywhere after completing Elder's Lair since you need it to upgrade a lot of weapons (especially Fatalis weapons). I think I found 1 in a co-op quest once. But yeah im sorry I was just really confused by your comment I hope I didn't come off as rude, Velkhana was really difficult, especially if you weren't following the notes EXACTLY

WAIT HOLY SHIT??? I am actually still really active in co-op, can I ask what the boss was of the den and if we beat it? Because I know dragon eggs quests I leave immediately because I always forget it's molten tigrex and I am probably better off trying co-op fatalis than molten tigrex 😔
Also if it helps, my ign is also Calvin, and I am wearing the layered armor from the second clip currently (I don't think I've ever switched cosmetically since I bought it). I use a Bloodbath Diablos named Frostbite, a Gold Rathian named Fury Moon, and a Soulseer Mizutsune named Esmeralda!
@@ObjectoMenace no yeah bro it's definitely you. i think the boss was dreadqueen rathian in SR volcanic den and we did beat the boss. i remember your bloodbath and esmeralda (cause cmon who tf names their dragon esmeralda🤨🤨) and if im not mistaken you also got dreadqueens egg from the final nest. i was using green nargacuga and hellblade for the fights, wearing taroth armor and i remember pulling out teddy bear hammer and thought "man hes level 85 he might think im stupid asf for using this"😭
@@vcornelius1589 She's pretty and I thought it was pretty name 😔😔 but tbh I don't know if you ever played MHS1 but all those sorts of weapons were much stronger in it? Like I used the cat claw sword and shield with the paralysis bonus because it was really strong but in this game it seems like all those melynx inc weapons were much weaker and I really don't know why. If I recall teddybear hammer can cause sleep right? ALSO. EARLIER TODAY I joined a slay quest for molten tigrex, we actually beat it, and I GOT IT'S EGG. Like what are the chances (normally slay quests give shit eggs). I actually really need molten tigrex because it's one attack I gave my dreadking and I need to upgrade the gene.
@@ObjectoMenace i read somewhere that all mizutsune are actually males because the females have less coloration so you might wanna rename it to esmeraldo now LMAO😭 and i did play MHS1 BUT it was couple years ago and i barely remember anything. dont hate me though but im pretty sure it was modded so even the shittiest weapon could K.O a monster for me back then😔 and yeah teddy bear does have the sleep status and it actually helped me a lot, but now i realized that HH is better and been using sonorous, bloodsuck from brimstern also saved me couple times too. AND CONGRATULATIONS!! never tried to beat molten but the reason why i stumbled across your channel was because i was looking at fatalis videos (trying to see what im going against) and your video popped up. i clicked on it and was like hmmmm his characters face looks hella familiar then i looked at your channels name and you know the rest🚶🏻♂️ anyways this is so cool we should chat more man you have insta or discord?

Max ice armor almost doesn’t matter at all because Velkhana is designed to do punishing one shots for like any mistake
