- Railway line Beograd - Novi Sad - Subotica is one of the most important railway lines in Serbia. 175km in length, this line has 24 railway stations, 3 tunnels and 2 large bridges. It has maximum allowed speed of 120km/h at section between Nova Pazova, Stara Pazova and Golubinci.
The railway line dominantly goes through plains of northern Serbia (Vojvodina). It goes over hilly part of mountain Fruska Gora and descent to the Danube river bank. One section between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad is under construction due to creating double track line for higher speeds. That means curves realignment of existing railway line, digging two railway tunnel tubes through mountain Fruska Gora and construction of some large viaducts. The parf of this works can be seen at this video.
This cabride recorded from train 343 (Budapest - Beograd) in the last moments of existence of this single track part of old railway line. From december 2018. main part between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad is closed for train traffic until the construction is completed.
Due to the construction of a new section between Stara Pazova and Indjija the trains between Beograd and Novi Sad had turnaround in the Golubinci station (railway line Beograd - Sid). Therefore, in this video, the train is redirected from the main route Beograd - Novi Sad to part of Beograd - Sid railway line. After turnaround the train is returned to the main route.

I like this cab ride so much. I enjoy the info you show on the bottom left of the screen. In the mid 80's I was in Pancevo for 8 months working at the refinery and visited a lot of the places in Vojvodina. This video brought back many happy days. Thanks.

This is probably your best video. I have used to travel this route more than 100 times. Hopefully, the part from Novi Sad to Subotica will be modernized soon with a travel time of 1 hour.

It's so sad to see the state of those rail tracks. The fame and existence of express trains like Avala, Puškin or Meridian are gone now as same as importance of this whole line. Let's hope that recontruction works are going to bring back the old glance of Serbian railways.

I agree that it is sad and such a state of the infrastructure has been present for years.
Well, when mother fu**ers from all over the globe stop ruining my country periodically on 30-50 years we will have very good infrastructure. You said track are old? Yes they are, we used money for new tracks to build bridge at 2:31:50 because you destroyed old one 20 years ago.

@@dulevoz Before the upgrade your railway should be able to get 160km/h or 100mph out of such a stretch. Hopefully a local team can do a quick fix:-)
Just completed viewing the video - what a spectacular entry into Beograd, over that beautiful bridge at night! I have a request/suggestion for a ride - how about from Bijelo Polje to Beograd ? Regards to you Dana. Ride between Beograd and Bijelo Polje takes more than 8 hours and it is too long for making the quality video. The moving speeds is reduced to 20km/h or 30km/h on a significant part of this railway line...
There were three people, in the driver's cab of the locomotive.When they left Golubinci, a teenager was driving the locomotive, and someone lit a cigarette.It can be seen in the reflection of the glass. It can be seen from 3:19 minutes.

The new Belgrade station is nice, but I preferred the old Main Station. It was more atmospheric - a nice, old-fashioned railway station.

It's done. 200 kmh speed railway will be build end 2024 . We already built 200kmh Belgrade -Novi Sad . Now we are in process bilding Novi Sad -Subotica (Hungarian border) and Hungarians build they part of Budapest - Belgrade speed railway. It's Chinese speed railway build company who work in the two countries . Serb -Hungarian border will be touch point where Chinese will finished project .

Odličan video. Mada mi nije jasno kako, su uspeli toliko da sjebu prugu da moraš da ideš 40 km/h? Pre neki dan sam gledao ovu deoonicu Šid - Pazova. Rekonstrukcija je bila pre nekoliko godina a brzine već moraju da se smanjuju. Koliko će se tek dugo onda voziti 200 km/h po novoj pruzi, nekoliko meseci?! Strašno
Hvala. Male brzine na ovoj pruzi, posebno na delu od Novog Sada do Subotice su prisutne već godinama. Nažalost ni jedna pruga kod nas nije u zavidnom stanju.

A lovely magnificent journey to Beograd. However, I did notice open burning in the beginning taking place near the tracks twice at 38:45. Was that garbage burning? It happens a lot in the winters in our country. Beograd is a beautiful station. It seems like it was recently renovated. I hope they soon upgrade the line to Beograd. That's the only way ro improve the speed of the train.
Thank you. This fire beside the track is set on fire by the villagers to burn the stubble on their fields. A very common occurrence in our country.

Yes, it is, new rail are in construction Belgrade-Budapest, min speed 200 kmh. It's two country deal who should be finished in end of 2021,begining 2022
Our president is corupted peace of shit! If they start to renovate the rails, thats will take forever... We already doesnt have a train line from Cities Nis to Zajecar! Rails are shuted down because of derailment to often. We dont have new infrastructure to support the country. In this way, we dying like country! People goes outside from our country to work, because our sallary are 250 euros! I was work in Budapest last year. I falled in love in your country. Its so clean, and looks nice. Your language its so hard to speak... LoL...
How the line can be renovate for 200km/h. For 200km hod And more this Is a high speed railway (TGV, ICE) And this must meet speciál requirements. At First a freight traffic is imposibble. So they have to build two railway lines, high speed plus normal line for freight or slow trains.

Да уж, небо и земля между тем что было между Новым Садом и тем, что есть сейчас. Особенно поразило преображение станции Инджия. Из чего то, напоминающее помойку для пассажира, превратилось в удобную и красивую станцию. Надеюсь, эта же тенденция по построению красивой и удобной инфраструктуры продолжится в ближайшее время как от Белграда до Ниша, так и от Нового Сада до Субботицы.
Beograd Novi sad 1.34 min. Ako gledamo jos ogranicenja i rutu preko golubinca. Pruga je u solidnom stanju. Voz bi stigao u Beograd za 1:07 do 1: 13 min sto i nije vremenski puno. Trebala su prvo prugu Subotica novi sad da srede ili Beograd niš. 2013 ic vozu je trebalo iz Novog sada do Beograda stara stanica 1: 15 min. Ovo je i pre nadgradnje bila najbolja deonica u Srbiji.
Beautiful video. But, like the video of the Bar - Belgrade line, it is more of the same: third world railways, very slow speeds, old trains and journeys that seem eternal.

Dule zasto je brzina 120 km izmedju stanica golubinci st pazova kad su signali razmaknuti za brzinu 160 km i ugradjene sine UIC 60 E1.
Zato što je kod nas 120km/h zacrtano kao maksimalna dopuštena brzina bez pogovora da se poveća u bilo kojim uslovima, pa i na potpuno novim deonicama pruge. Valjda se to jednog dana i kod nas promeni.

Just 4 hours? If I remember correctly, my journey once started at Beograd before noon and train arrived to Subotica around 6pm and then waited there for hour and half at customs. It was in the middle of summer 2008?, perhaps speed was further limited and speed was 55km/h, 25km/h or 8km/h according to GPS and sometimes train stopped because of other train in opposite direction. I somehow hope I won't travel through Serbia by train again.
Still faster than the only train in Canada to serve the whole country. 35km/h average speed across 3500 + km's which takes several days to complete. If you miss your train, the next one is 3 days away.

Odgovorio je negde da voznja predugo traje, uradice snimak ako bude remontovana pruga
Poštovani Dragane, vožnja od Beograda do Bijelog Polja predugo traje i postoji nekoliko veoma dugačkih deonica na kojima je dopuštena brzina 30km/h, pa bi tako nešto bilo nezahvalno za snimanje i zamorno za gledanje. Ako ne bude uskoro remonta ove pruge, možda ću da je snimim iz nekoliko delova.

@@ibazulic Pruga je stara i zapuštena, ali se uskoro zatvara i modernizuje za 200km/h uz nivelaciju svih ukrštanja i sređivanje svih stanica. Što se tiče pruge za Sentu nisam siguran kad je poslednji voz išao, ali znam sa se rekonstruiše sad ta pruga i da se rekonstrukcija završava do kraja ove godine. Kada se završi voz Subotica-Senta će ići 45 min ako se dobro sećam.

Nope. Now is brand new high speed rail between Belgrade and Novi Sad, the section between Novi Sad and Subotica will be open late this year(also high speed).
