@SOC 119 It's not white privilege, it's female privilege. Black women fare better than white men in most areas relevant to well-being: education, homelessness, violent crime victimization, alcoholism, favoritism in the criminal justice system (see the work of Dr. Sonya Starr, among others), longevity, health, health care spending after accounting for maternal and reproductive care, suicide... Black men fare worst, of course, but it should be undeniable that what we think of as racism is far more often misandry (the hatred of men qua men).
There is no white privilege. There is racism, such as any color anything.
Privilege clearly is real. A year ago I went back to my country of origin and an older male who was a passenger in the same vehicle I was a passenger in started chastising the police and telling them to stay in their land when they were driving past us. I realize that we were capable of doing that. Something that would cause you to put your life at risk in the United States. As a black male.
@@Muhammad-sx7wr The problem is you are making assumptions about how your scenario might play out in the US and you assume that a white person might get a pass based on your one experience that you had in another country. That isn't privilege....thats just you making a lot of assumptions and then making baseless generalities. There are a tremendous number of crimes committed in this country with a population of over 350 million people....thats roughly one police officer per several thousand civilians. They do not have the time to play silly games like getting revenge against someone yelling at them for passing. That's why such incidents are actually quite rare relative to the number of officers on the road vs the number of imbeciles willing to yell at the police.
IC victimhood is alive and well

Was assaulted by Beverly hills p.d. while hanging out with his singer song producer friend after they found his badge and firearm he sued Beverly hills P.D. and Won but his own fellow officers issued death threats to him for crossing the blue line. After all those unarmed shootings of Blacks he said Black's should shoot and that would stop all the brutality.
I have been stopped 12 times on 1 trip to the liquor store six times going and six times coming back. I laugh everytime one of them meet an untimely demise and those cowards who wouldn't save elementary school kids in that shooting in Texas. Those waste of tax payer dollars are a true representation of the guys who got bullied in high school. Even though the police jump me. I have beaten a cops azz before and almost got 1 hit by a car. I would love another shot at them 1 on 1. I grew up on NWA and believe me when I tell you FUX the POor LICE. I mean it!
Do you think all racism has to be expressed? You think a racist white dude won't subtley behavior different around a black dude than he would a white dude?
@@jeevandhillon00 -Literally everyone with a functioning brain and vision, is racist. A white guy having subtle behavioral changes around a black person is a LOT different than a black person assaulting a Asian person because they’re Asian, wouldn’t you say? I’m a white girl. Been pulled over more times than I can count. Also don’t get away with it. And I’ve been reprimanded in a very nasty way inappropriately right in front of my kids. This is so stupid that these conversations have to even happen while real life needs to be addressed. It’s what they want
I am a white girl. I have been pulled over a few times. Been lucky so far that I have not got a ticket. However, the last time I was pulled over, the cop did not have any cause to pull me over. I had pulled off to the shoulder of the road as I needed to take an important work call (I was a hospice nurse as the time). I saw him drive past and even thought the way he looked at me that he would be back to pull me over to see what I was doing. Call ended and I got back on the road. He came up behind me about half a mile down the road and put the lights on. Said he pulled me over because my registration was expired since June. I said, “oh well here in my registration for the past 3 years and they expire each time in September”. He ran my ID and asked me what I was doing earlier on the side of the road (which is really what he wanted to know) before stating he had a computer error and I was free to go.
@@themeg1540 To be fair, sometimes something trips a red or yellow flag that doesn't have an easy 'on the books' excuse for the cop to check your status. I'd certainly rather they make up something mundane while they run my ID and paperwork than have them just go in assuming that the car is stolen/that they saw my face on a list.
Being pulled off to the side of the road on a little used road or a typically busy one, is always going to get a 'huh, is something going on?' reaction.
I agree with Jt here. Omw to a friend's military graduation my sister needed to breastfeed her little girl, so we had to pull over on the shoulder to let her feed. Highway patrol pulls up behind us and just checks to see if we're ok. Naturally they go through their usual list of things to check, like license, registration etc.
It may not have been for your case, but they could just be seeing if everything is alright.
@@nalathakdraconis8164 I actually did not mind at all that they pulled me over to see what was going on. I would have told him the same thing I eventually told him - I work as a hospice nurse and needed to take a very important call and showed him my badge. I also would not have even minded having to show my ID and papers. I really have nothing to hide. My issue was the obvious lie when he pulled me over since registration is based off birthdays and I had the car for years so there was no way it could expire in that month. I mean - just be honest, but I guess he couldn’t because by that time since I was on the road he did not have any cause to pull me over so he needed something and that is what he went with.

"We assessed racial disparities in policing in the United States by compiling and analysing a dataset detailing nearly 100 million traffic stops conducted across the country. We found that black drivers were less likely to be stopped after sunset, when a ‘veil of darkness’ masks one’s race, suggesting bias in stop decisions. Furthermore, by examining the rate at which stopped drivers were searched and the likelihood that searches turned up contraband, we found evidence that the bar for searching black and Hispanic drivers was lower than that for searching white drivers. Finally, we found that legalization of recreational marijuana reduced the number of searches of white, black and Hispanic drivers-but the bar for searching black and Hispanic drivers was still lower than that for white drivers post-legalization. Our results indicate that police stops and search decisions suffer from persistent racial bias and point to the value of policy interventions to mitigate these disparities."

Out of all those times, I only got pulled over once for speeding. Nobody can bs me into thinking I had some special driving privileges as the whitest of white guys lol
Even though I believe Cops are necessary and generally good overall, the fact they have a quota to fill that demands they pull people over for the stupidest or outright false reasons just to meet said quota is absolutely dog shit. Imagine cops being so good in their area or the citizens so well behaved that they have to make shit up just to keep their job... dumb.
Edit Note: I do have to admit that most of the stops, I've incurred have been of my own doing, for various violations. The vast majority of interactions with the PoPo, have been pleasant and courteous. Most law enforcement (that I have encountered, were out just doing their job).
As a fellow person subject to by multiple traffic stops, I too feel your pain!! LOL At the end of one traffic stop, after finding out I wasn't getting out of a speeding ticket by being nice, I responded to the officer "Yeah, I know. It's then end of the month and you have to get your quota!". He replied that I was "sadly mistaken!". I just laughed and replied "Yeah, sure.". After I strove off, I watched him follow me, after exiting his town, for about 20 miles, and till I was completely through the next town (New Diana, Texas)!. Another time I was stopped for having my left tires over the white shoulder line.
I have also had a lot of encounters with police and I am also white, i have been pulled for doing things i knew were dumb and deserved and I have been pulled when doing nothing wrong, I've been pulled leaving my own shop and thanked the cop for checking i didn't just rob the place in the middle of the night. I have been racially profiled multiple times in poor predominantly black neighborhood (Harlem hood, pre Guilani lowering crime, or any gentrification) by cops of every race because I look out of place being white, not dressed like a thug or gang member, they assumed I was another white guy there for drugs, had my entire car pulled apart and some of my stuff getting broken/going missing bc they refused to believe i wasn't there for drugs, and were trying to scare me into staying away from that area, it was dangerous to be white in that area. I was actually there to visit friends and had already earned respect from most of the blocks that surrounded the block my "friends" lived. Most cops were just doing their job and were just trying to keep the public safe, I have had a few encounters where the cop was just being a dick because he could. But that use to be rare. I haven't been pulled in a hot minute so for all I know there could be more cops that are on power trips, but I don't believe their narrative that America is racist towards anyone non-white, and the only proveable systemic racism is affirmative action and the forcing of racial quota's on the workforce from govt, to corporate to blue collar to white collar have been forced to choose who get the job based on where the person stands on the victim hood ladder instead of the person who is most qualified for the job regardless of their background, skin color, past decisions, ect. shouldn't be a factor what so ever. skill, ability, experience ect. should be used to determine the best person for the job. If the applicant who will do the best job and fit the best with the company, should always be the person who should get the job, then nobody would be able to claim discrimination, because they lacked qualifications compared to who got the job. That should push the person who didn't get the job to better themselves so they get the next job.
@@dandeflavis7004 In my life, the only examples I've encountered of "Systemic Racism" has also been by the hand of government. The Command Carrier Councilor took me to the side and informed me (off the record, of course) that I shouldn't waste my time. He pointed to my bare arm, explaining as looked at him with confusion, "you are the wrong color!". On every exam we had to designate our sex, and color. The second glaring instance encountering the government's racist tendencies, was while working for a poultry company. As per government regulations, periodically any company with government contracts must perform an audit of the personnel makeup to ensure following established guidelines. One aspect was the percentages of each race compiling the companies workforce. The survey results showed the company was 85% Latino, 10% White, and 5% Black. *HOW VICTIMHOOD MENTALITY WORKS*
There were 3 women who agreed to take part in a social experiment. They were told that sociologists wanted to see how they would be treated in an job interview if they had facial scarring and weather there would be any bias shown toward them because of their disfigurement. Makeup was applied to the three women to make it look like they were facialy scarred.
Just before they went into the job interview they were told they just needed to touch up the make up by the cosmetic artists. What they actually did was take the make up that looked like scaring off. But the participants did not know that. What they also did not know was that THEY were the social experiment. The sociologists wanted to see if you were told you were a victim weather you would seek out justification for your victimhood status. So they went into the interview thinking they had facial disfigurement when they did not.
THE RESULT: All three women believed the interviewer had been bias toward them because of their presumed facial disfigurement that was not actually there. The sociologists concluded that when people are constantly told they are victims of society, they will actively seek out imagined biases to justify their victimhood mentality. This disease that the woke left have injected into the veins of society have manifested particularly in accusations of homophobic, trans and racism to justify victimhood status....and it is causing society to rot from within.
It is just like Elon Musk calls it. The woke mind virus.

@@Ml-xq8nt Probably a typo. Funny how they make a very good argument and instead of addressing that you focus on a single spelling mistake
@@ScytheSalinas I have a great deal of sympathy for your past acne having suffered from it myself as a teen....very badly. But do you not think people were recommending treatments , not out of a bias 'against you" but out of kindness? As for being gay or black...that is subjective.
These youths need to learn how to question the “news” and their lib professors.
but not their pastors.
@@tomault3063 Many pastors are just as liberal
At least this professor is out there trying to teach critical thinking... The one good professor I've seen
@@benjaminmorris4962 noy enough, sadly.
I’ve been pulled over probably 7 or 8 times in my life (mostly in my younger driving years) and I’ve been given 3 or 4 citations for moving violations resulting in my license being suspended before my 18th birthday. I have learned that the best chance you have on a traffic stop is to be polite respectful and apologetic. Not emotional, no attitude. Respectful, professional, hands on the wheel, answer the questions, do as your told, when your told to do it. This should be obvious. Since I started conducting myself in this manner I’ve not received another ticket, only warnings.
What if the cop tells you to kiss him, open mouthed? Do you do as you're told then? I'm serious, what if a cop thinks that you have a cute mouth, and decides to get a little rapey? What's your reaction then? What happens when following the rules doesn't work, or ends up harming you and yours? Also, start driving better. You shouldn't be getting pulled over, ever really.
P.S. I've only been pulled over once. I was speeding because I had been road flirting with a girl I knew at the time. Turns out the cop was the dad of a kid I knew from church. Me and him had played Halo on a team together against his son and some other friends, literally the night before. Never been luckier in all my life.
