Mr Mazai I respect your feelings, but in these pandemic times, priority should go to hygienic practices and this is one of the ways to curb superspreaders of the deadly viruses and bacterial diseases.
Are they going to start the Mbare Musika revitalisation from ten years ago? I know it should have been done by now but better late than never I guess..
Who allows the illegal structures to thrive and divided them to be destroyed, the administration of City council was quite and most probably collected rates or protection fee and then the government administrators are ached by that ,who knows is it elections around the corner or kuitira jecha based on humanrights. At the end of the day informal traders have sacrificed to do business but everything is blown away like a fart. Zimbabwean politicians don't care about citizens livelihood but are there to settle scores. No country can eradicate informal traders but they must be recognised and allowed to trade in respect of bylaws not as a favour of votes.
Thank you for the video. This brought back memories, this is were I grew up. I have been back to this place twice in 20 years but all it does is give me a depression like feeling. The environment is a far cry from the one I grew up in. Everyone just seems to have given up and just live by attending to their immediate needs. Tomorrow will take care of itself . Everyone feels defeated by life. The fifth and crowdedness is something out of hell. Anyway, the illegal structures must go. People needs some kind of rehabilitation because living in this kind of environment must be traumatising.
I was going to enjoy a bit of a voice over...anyways memories have been brought back. Just can't imagine the rot. Everything is left to die away just like that. The roads oh no. Two many people on the street. Everyone seem to be carrying a small bag. Just wondering what could be in those backpacks.
Are they any clean up campaigns I can help fund, cause the filth in Harare is a lot. How people don’t get sick there is a miracle. I honestly feel people should start taking initiative for their surroundings. Please let’s help support our government where we can.
@irenemanhanga You can organise one in partnership with local youth organisations. For example us at Simba Arts www.simbaarts.org in Mbare national and Hatcliffe, consortium we have regular clean up projects weekly we do in our areas. However, if you engage into these clean up program it is very important that you do the follow up to keep motivating the youth. Most of the people they give up on us half way through. But we have learnt to keep up the work for the benefit of our communities.Nevertheless,We looking forward hearing from you.Have a blessed day.
@original Simba arts I’ll do my best I’m not in Zim and don’t really know where that is. I’ll have a look and the best I can do is donate as and when. As I’m not in the country it would be hard to fully be there 100%.
i think it should be the other way round, the government should support the pple where it can by starting the cleanup; the same way to demolished kumbare the resources should also be put to clean up the city
@joseph even In the UK people take initiative. The problem with Africans is everyone is always looking for fault elsewhere. Rwanda has a system where everyone cleans up at the end of every month. If the government doesn’t have the resources or isn’t doing it surely the people want to live in better conditions. Don’t forget they don’t live in these areas but everyone else does and what’s Kumbare? If you really want to live in a clean orderly place you take the initiative.
The roads u must know by now its intentional its politicking they don't want the Opposition led municipality to look good only thru their intervention roads are fixed, a big of research needed, there is a lot at play here
You must edit your video it's too long and you didn't get into the people you were just driving on the road, please edit your video next time.. Thanks though I'm home seeking and i got to see some of the places i grew up in.. Mbare ndiko kumba..
illegal structures must, we mustn't accept everything as normal
As much as we want an orderly city. This is quite sad, people's livelihoods depend on the informal trade.
Hey Harmony, how are you doing?
