Installation of the Kuat Pivot v2 swingarm. As always, let me know if you have any questions! #kuatracks #racklove #addictedtogravel #unlearnpavement Link to instructions: www.kuatracks.com/wp-content/...
torque wrench and 8mm / 5mm hex sockets helped take the guess work out of tightening the bolts for sure. Was a bit surprised to see them referencing NM in the instruction manual
poorly design. the locking lever handle stays horizontal meaning it can be accidentally hit or drop down after many uses not noticed it and the second lock can releases while the swing away arm bounces during driving, releases from the lock position and the entire swing away arm swings outward while driving.
Even though the locking lever can potentially come unlatched, there is still a secondary lock on the handle that prevents it from pulling out. I still agree with you though that they should have looked into some alternative latching mechanisms that could prevent the main latch from coming undone
This design is likely to allow the locking handle to work underneath the spare tire on a Jeep Wrangler. If the spare tire on a Jeep is close to the swing arm, then the locking lever on other brands would hit the tire.
Thanks for the info awesome job

Do you find the swing lock difficult to open or close? Thank you
It’s easy even when fully loaded.
@@clingerfelt thank you...
Does it lock open?
Yes so it won’t shut on your hands. You can’t travel though with it in the open position.
Hola venta en Chile de este producto?
I actually don’t know if it is available in Chile. Have you checked with your local bike shop yet?
