#America #YouCanDoMagic #Remastered - Hudba
The 1970s and 1980s would have not been complete without America. This song is an 80's classic. So many memories of my very early 20's. Timeless music. The music artists of today will never come even close to this perfection.
Also without the Jacksons, Bruce Springsteen & The E- Street Bsnd
America should have been given with far more recognition. My favourite band!!! I do hope songs like these stand the test of time..
That's also what makes them special. For those who know
Did you know the guy in the stripe shirt died

The innocence of this video brings me so many
wonderful memories of the 70’s.
I loved this band back in the day.
No literal sus letras,buenaza❤❤❤
True this particular song was from 1982
Yes I remember seeing this video on MTV in the 80’s but the most memorable songs were from the 70’s in high school for me 💕
I love this song that god I got to live and be young this era!!
This is one of the most innocent songs I've ever heard, pure magic
Practicing magic will send you to hell, it aint so innocent however great song :D

@@renjii1758 I don't know. I like the song too, but Samwise might be more right than wrong. Take a quick look at the band "Coven," which also came out of Laurel Canyon just like these pretentious pretty boys.

Always loved this song. Went to Vegas last summer and this was played in almost every casino. Now I can't stop listening to it. These dudes are legends,
The "magic" theme aside..... songs like this is the vibe Vegas had in the 80's. And everything pop 80's in America had kinda a resort hotel and lounge digital banner sign HBO/VHS Special kinda vibe to it 😁 Vegas became a contender to Hollywood in the 80's
This song... like a lot of classics...ages better than fine wine
I think it’s one of the best songs ever created. It can be heard in a loop, easy to sing, neither too slow nor too fast, it speaks of love on several levels of reading, and more than anything: it is timeless.
Abolutely!
I agree, when people sang and no “voice correction” pure raw feel good music from 70’s!
It is magic
Well put 👍
(by the way Happy Halloween, it's October 31st 2023! 🎃)
Allora non sono la sola ad ascoltarla in loop. Mi fa piacere ❤️
Seriously, the 80's had music that took you somewhere I can only describe as a kind of paradise.

There's still a comma, they are Americans. My wife and I watched their concert twice here in Reno, Nevada.
I am glad there are others that feel as i do. Best band in my top 3 for sure
This is one of my favorites songs from the many thousands that I have heard across 55 years of living. Also there is something about this video that is so attractive to watch. A fine group of musicians and singers who look like real men who create world class music.
I love this band
I hear you, I was 15 when this came out. Time really blows by!
Wow, my sentiments exactly! I thought what a nice group of man's men, masculine, clean, handsome and talented.
Who’s listening to this masterpiece in 2024?

June 2024, baby! 🪄
Heard it for the 1st time today May 2024. It’s real magic, real music , real people.
I was 7 when I first heard this song when it came out, heard it on the radio a couple of years ago and my whole world came flooding back. It's a great song.
These guys had a warm, magic way of their own. It never gets old, and helps me feel better about aging out!
I can easily say that the best thing about being old right now is that we got to experience the late 20th century. It'll just never be beat in terms of exciting new entertainment. Especially music.
I'm in their age group, so if they can rock on, so can I.
❤❤
@@Laidengizer011 The 60's and 80's. America, especially this song just is so beautiful how they are in sync with vocal's and body movements. What also makes them stand out is they are innocently being HOT! Much Blessings to them and family!

What a classic song love it ❤
Late 1970's at the town pool in a small midwest American town on a warm summer day, America playing on the pool speakers for the teenage lifeguards. I was around 10 years old and the summer seemed long - no school in sight, there was nothing but the pure freedom of childhood and summer play, tomorrow and the next days would be the same, as far as my youthful eyes could see. I can remember that feeling of blissful freedom, but I will never experience it again. This band and a few others are tangled up in those good memories.

This song was only presented to me within the past year but it’s quickly become one of my favourite songs ever. Only 30 years of age myself and this song makes me happy in ways today’s music never could. Love to America 🇺🇸
Sadly, this would prove to be Americas only Top 10 hit during the 80s. They ruled the 70s and deserved more recognition for their 80s output. Thankfully they're still touring and are today held in high regard as masters of Soft Rock!
I'd consider them lucky to pull this off in the 80s
Are they all still living?
@@emilymalden3310 America were originally Dan Peek, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell. As a trio they would score several hits between 1972 and 1977. Dan Peek left the band in 1977 and America continued on as a duo, Beckley and Bunnell, and they would release several albums between 1979 and 1985, still only one single, You Can Do Magic became a big hit. The other players in this video were their backing band, both on record and in live settings. Beckley and Bunnell has kept going and are still active in 2021, although there's been 10 years since their last album. Dan Peek became a successful Christian contemporary artist but sadly died in 2009. America is a great band, in fact one of my all time favourites!
@@emilymalden3310 Just in case you're not familiar with the band here's some info: America basically were a close harmony Folk Rock trio inspired by Crosby Still and Nash and hit the big time with their first single on Warner Brothers, the now classic A Horse With No Name. Although they would would score a couple of follow up hits in 1972/1973, things really went into the stratosphere when they got Beatles producer George Martin to produce their albums, starting with Holiday in 1974 and Hearts in 1975. Massive hit singles like Sister Golden Hair and Lonely People made America arguably the equal of The Eagles in term of commercial and artistic impact. Things begun to go sour in the late 70s, after losing Dan Peek to religion and the music climate was changing as well, moving away from the Soft Rock of America to New wave and Disco inflected music. Still they were a popular touring ensemble and would get a comeback hit in 1982 with You Can Do Magic, a more hook laden synth popper. More or less not a functional concern in the mid/ late 80s, Beckley and Bunnell resurrected America in the mid 90s and have been relaxing albums sporadically ever since. As a touring band, they're massively popular and they're first class artists, singers and songwriters, writing more or less every song they record themselves. Their to date latest album Back Pages, however, consisted of 12 cover songs and it's a fine album. God bless America! The band, that is!
@@emilymalden3310 I'm a huge 60s/ 70s poprock fan and I would like to point you to my favourite artist of all time, Gilbert O'Sullivan. Are you familiar with him? An English/Irish pop artist who was one of the biggest pop stars between 1970 and 1975. Hits such as Alone Again Naturally, Clair and Get Down were all charttopper either in Britain or America. He blended Beatle esque pop songcraft with music hall sensibilities and wrote some unique songs! He's still going strong in 2021!
