I thought Al Pacino’s Cruising was pretty underrated, but yes I agree, The Silence of the Lambs and Se7en are the best movies about a serial killer.

I've seen this movie two times, because the ending was too overwhelming and affecting. I really have a hard time sitting through the finale for that reason. Adore the movie, I love what other films it's influenced too; but it's brutal.

my two favorite scenes are also the car ride and afterwards where mills kill john doe. the car ride was amazing bc of the back and forth between john doe and mills bc they get under each other’s skin. before that moment we see how emotional and hot headed mills is and how freeman’s character can’t calm him down. john doe first realized this as a the photographer i believe, and from that i think he put mills on his plan. so when john starts to get under his skin in the car, freeman’s character is juss watching and analyzing bc he realizes what john is doing but doesn’t know the reasoning. and there’s even a couple shots where john and freeman’s character makes eye contact like theres an understanding between them. buh freeman can’t calm down mills soo he allows it to happen. and it all pays off with the reveal with the package, freemen finally understands where this was going but it’s too late. also, this was my first time watching the movie soo i probably missed it but who was the envy? was it john? i’m not sure, but also would love to see a bourne video 💯💯

Guys BABE is a classic lol. I did just watch that actually funny you brought that up. But man seven is freaking awesome. Keeps you on edge whole film and Man that ending! WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!! I think Morgan freeman shoulda got the Oscar nom. Kevin spacey was at the height of his game after this and the usual suspect. This films crazy noir style the world reminds me of Gotham. Dark scary and just never any light. For me best Fincher films
    Social network
    Seven
    Fight club
And a lot of people hated on it but I loved gone girl too. Another dope mystery movie he did.
Awesome episode. Just like Finchers attention to detail your guys' attention to detail is amazing!

I thought the ending was a fail. The idea that they would go out into a vacant field alone with the killer is a silly horror-movie trope. Compare that scene to the hyper-militarized SWAT team scene when the police went after the first suspect, and it’s like two different movies. Also, it was obvious that Tracy would die, ever since the scene where she woke up alone in the apartment. Otherwise, a good and thoughtful movie. I think if Mills was truly wrathful, he would have shot the killer’s kneecaps, to make sure he suffered, instead of that merciful headshot, so it can be argued that the killer (or Satan) didn’t really win. Meanwhile, the tagged-on Hemingway quote reminded me of the awkwardly-glued-on happy ending to “The Piano” during the same era, a movie which was supposed to end with a suicide, period. Getting thrown a patronizing, uplifting quote-bone as we leave the theater is just an insult to the audience.

It's not a silly horror movie trope. Either they followed Doe's specific demands (go with him into a vacant field, just the three of them) or they would never find the other "two bodies."
