This police officer lost his life FOR NOTHING!!😢
He lost his life for approaching a vehicle that had a gunman in the passenger seat.
Hey if he just picked up a hitch hiker to go to the liquor store then he's not guilty of murder. But the gun charge in that case for having a illegal gun and in a separate case whatever time he gets for the robbery with a weapon.
All he did was give a person a ride. He didn't know what was going to happen. Free that man.

If they were casing a store and cop told them to move along then it seems like they would? Criminals generally don’t want to get caught so did the officer see the gun and then initiate further orders? Hard to say til they come out w it.

Other precincts cover patrol for these unique circumstances. This is because many New Yorkers support defund the police, so officers must support each other

Yes, other commands send who they can. Off duty officers attend. Officers from other commands attend the court . Officers on their regular day off attend. Officers of different shifts. It is very doable and still continue regular patrol.
