  • Convicted felon Deobra Redden appeared before the same Las Vegas judge he was caught on camera leaping over the bench and attacking last week.
On Monday, Judge Mary Kay Holthus sentenced 30-year-old Deobra Redden to 19 months to two years in prison on attempted battery charges. This was in connection to a baseball bat attack on a person last year and isn’t related to the courtroom attack. According to an arrest report, Holthus said Redden knocked her out of her chair and slammed her head against the wall before ripping some of her hair out.

She didn't even say anything terrible. Some judges have really laid into defendants at sentence and they just sit there and take it. He lost it at taste of his own medicine or something different I don't remember exactly what she said, which he quite obviously does. No impulse control at all and that's not going to going to be good for him in jail unless he becomes like a celebrity in there for actual hitting the judge

The young clerk's instinctive heroism is phenomenal! so glad he was quick off the mark in his reaction to what must have been a scary situation but he didn't hesitate. He threw himself to ward off the attack with no thought for his own safety but to protect the judge. Waytgo!! give the clerk a raise and promotion to head of security!!

That was his original sentence, 19-48, for his previous conviction. She didnt add anything for what he did. That will come at a later date.

@@elliesmom0992 NRS § 200.471 - Nevada Assault & Battery Laws stated If the victim was on duty as a police officer or other “protected class”sustained substantial bodily harm or was strangled, and you no deadly weapon, battery is a category B felony: 2 - 10 years in prison, and/or up to $10,000 penalty.
If they stack it, as in have him serve consecutively instead of concurrent, which they can because you are talking about multiple victim, as in he didn't wail on the same person 7 times, instead he started 7 different fight with 4 different person, so they can at least stack it up into 4. If they give him the max (which with 4 felony and 9 misdemeanor, more than qualified as a repeated offender). He is looking for at least 40 years with what he did on Jan 3......
So it's really stupid for him to do that, piss at a 19 months sentence, get at least 40.

Why is he on the street? Why are you all not addressing the issue? Why aren't his parents and family addressing the issue! Were the court officers on their cell phones when he leaped over the table to attack the judge? HOW was he able to even make that move so well? WHY was the man standing there watching instead of trying to help the other two men get him off of her?
She stayed professional and ethical, and for that, she deserves a metal! Many dirty Judges would never.

No sign of his mental illnesses when he was speaking to the judge last time. IMHO his mental illnesses have nothing to do with what he did and why. He was p^^^^d off that she said he had had been excused enough for his behaviour and it was time for real consequences. His lack of self control and entitlement are due to a personality flaw, not mental illness.
