  • Mido continues its fondness for contemporary architecture with a timepiece directly inspired by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York: the Mido Inspired By Architecture Watch.
The profile of the watch takes its shape from the museum’s elegant exterior curves and the eggshell colored and grained dial is inspired by the glass dome that is at the top of the museum. Powered by the Caliber 80 Si, a chronometer-certified movement fitted with a silicon balance-spring with an impressive 80 hours of power reserve. In this in-depth video review, we’ll look at the details of the watch to see if the design can stand on its own.

The Inspired By Architecture limited edition has a U.S.A. retail price of $1,590

I found a watch dealer who's had one of these in inventory all this time and it just arrived today :) I love it

Not sure about the lugs. How do you change the strap or replace it when it wears out?

Do you know the inspiration of mido jubilee 1918 skeleton watch (case : 633-807) design?

A realy nice one. I do like the dial very much. Maybe the date window could be at 6-position.
