Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression Automatic | REVIEW
zhlédnutí 3,6KPřed rokem
As mentioned in the Super Sea Wolf 53 Skin review, dive watches have spun off into a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and styles since Zodiac launched the genre alongside Rolex and Blancpain in 1953. Though not quite a whackadoodle, bedazzled departure from the classic format, the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression brings a touch of spirit and a dash of color while maintaining the same underpin...

Since dive watches hit the mainstream seven decades ago, the genre has splintered into a thousand spinoffs. Sticking to the O.G. aesthetic is Zodiac’s Super Sea Wolf 53 Skin, a straight up dive piece that’s millimeters away from being modern reissue of one of the brand’s earliest efforts. Maurice Lacroix Aikon Master Grand Date | UNBOXING

In haughty horological circles, the term complication implies the pursuit of extra engineering through elaborate date, alarm, or display features beyond the basic purpose of telling time. In this video, WatchUSeek reviewer Basem Wasef argues that the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Master Grand Date offers a different take on the word, a sort of alternate version of the textbook term. For the sake of our...

Belgian chocolates. Italian sports cars. German watches- wait, what? Teutonic timepieces might not have the same instant recognition as their Swiss counterparts, but that’s not to say that German watchmakers haven’t earned significant respect in the horological world. Stoic Pilot Watch Review - In Depth Watch Review from Watchuseek

Stoic made its debut in 2018 with three watches in their collection. In this video review I’ll be looking at one of the three, their version of a classic pilots watch. This watch is a tribute to the early aviators and military watches of the 1940s. It uses a Seiko mechanical automatic movement in a 38mm stainless steel case with a water resistance of 100 meters. The dial features a sunburst gre...

Legible, water resistant, and robust are the criteria that I used to assemble this list of ten tool watches. We like a watch that we can put on our wrists and not have to worry that our daily activities will cause harm to the watch. 16:02 Solid review which helped with my decision. Just ordered mine with the bracelet. Can’t wait to strap the beast on. I should’ve paid for next day shipping!
He gave u a car?...jk ..by the way fabulous work
It really was a pleasure
Dont understand why they didn’t do a full 300m water resistant 39 pelagos, it would not need the valve at 200m or 300m

Hello, I just discovered your video, very well done! I also discovered the Métris which I found very beautiful. Since there is no retailer nearby, based on your experience, is this model compatible with a wrist of 15cm in circumference also with the watch securely attached? Thanks for your feedback.
Fantastic interview of an amazing movement designer! Thank you so much!
I’m sorry 2k for an eta doo doo movement and hideous branding? Yikes.
Sounds like a good watch. TUDOR just needs to spend some money marketing so people wil know their name. I donè tthink many people have even heard of Tudor--just 'watch nerds'. or guys with casual interest in watches but are not 'collectors'. Ièd say the Pleegos is a 'better watch' than the Rolex Sub and most Rolexs (odd ARolexès donèt have AR coatings on the glass)..
Blue AR 😔
Would be nice to see it with the bracelet.
Amazing review, but please look up how to say the word Glashütte lol
Nice timepiece!
A true NATO strap has one piece buckle, that means that it has no spring bar, the spring bar on the buckle is the weak link that might cause you to lose you're watch. 😉
Got mine recently and I can’t be any happier with it. The LHD replicates a vintage model launched in 1969 (Oyster Prince Submariner 7016), the red accents and the beige luminescent make this watch unique. The ceramic matt black disc and titanium combination make this the perfect beater watch. The case number is ~18k. The only thing I don’t like, is the massive clasp. The outer part of the sharp clasp could make it dangerous when on the wrist. The movement has been consistent with -2 seconds per day. Don’t think about it too much, you will love this time piece or piece of jewelry…what ever you are into.
Tengo uno de 1960. Y funciona de maravilla es un 146 DP cronografo 🇦🇷
19 mm ….. the mm change just a little bit
How bulletproof are these movements? I'm to be honest not that hugely into the idea of luxury watches, but this one tempts me. However, I would have be to quite certain that it would take anything I'd throw at it. If I'm spending this much, I don't want to feel like I have to use my Promaster instead when going back country skiing etc. Then I might as well keep the Promaster as the main watch. Thing is though, I don't feel quite confident enough on the toughness of mechanical movements. (And I don't want to pay $5k or so just to find out) I'd feel much more comfortable splurging on a "one/final watch" if I knew it could take anything. A GS 9F would probably make me confident in that. But they have no models with the design and features such as this Pelagos. Would love to hear from someone who really, really put it through its paces, what that was, and whether it could take it or not. But maybe I'm delusional for hoping that a mechanical watch can be treated harshly like a true hardcore sports-watch.
Love this watch… make it in a 39 and they will sell huge.
A legend 🙏❤️
Probably a good watch but shipping not so great. Hard to schedule.
i Really like the Seiko Cocktail Time Series , look at this Dial , which watch brand offers something like that for 300 - 400 Dollars .
How do I reset the date?
Beautiful 😍. Should I get the integrated bracelet then buy the nubuck ? I love it more in leather. What about value retention ?
What happened to the black wooden boxes? These cardboard boxes was a letdown.
looks like there is a lot of glare on the crystal ! is the anti-reflective treatment ok ?
The 36mm looks best on you. My wrist is just a little larger, and I find that the long lugs necessitate sizing down with NOMOS.
Mine's blue. Spectacular watch. You forgot to mention the metal dive suit extension clip on the clasp I think.
I have the same watch but I'm concerned there might be something wrong with the winding action. When you wind it, does it feel like a normal ratcheting clicking sensation (like a U50), or a stiff grinding sensation?
Apparently the only thing simple enough for WatchUSeek to comprehend in CENSORSHIP, Banning a 15 year member for expressing an opinion about a watches size - seemingly more than they can bear while pandering to the lowest common denominator. Somehow they think this builds subscribers ... and it does. The WRONG kind. Please let people express their OPINIONS freely and moderate your site fairly and evenly.
Beautiful video
Seems like this channel is not active ... their message board is pretty useless for anything horological as well. Only threads really left are pretty much I hate Rolex, I hate Invicta, I hate date windows, the weekly please reaffirm my small watch is actually manly topics ... Should rename the site to WatchUHate.
Here's an active channel ... lol. Only active in trying to control what members say on their message board. Not worth visiting ...
Watchuseek ... probably the most heavy handed heavily moderated watch message boards on the internet. Good luck posting an opinion that goes against their agenda, without getting banned. Censorship at its finest.
Just picked one up. It is absolutely stunning. Haven't taken it off yet.
How has yours been? I have read some horrible reviews on Zodiac watches. I did some research and it sounds like the STP 3-13 movements had huge failure rates so Zodiac discontinued it and went back to the STP 1-11 which seems to be much more reliable. I came across the ZO9289 recently and fell in love. I couldnt help myself, especially seeing as how i got it for 50% off brand new from Zodiac. Im hoping mine is running the 1-11 but since its a solid case back im not sure. It got delivered around 1pm today and i havent taken it off or stopped looking at it yet, i love this watch! Not to mention its incredibly accurate coming from my Seiko SRPE37 that woukd lose about 30 seconds a day. Im 11 hours in and this watch is still bang on the second. I already want to buy another one, the ZO9305.
@@ProjectSerpo90hey, I’ve read similar reviews. Curious to know what your experience has been. Thanks
wonderful 😊
is the lume superluminova or tritium ?
Anyone watching this in 2023 should know, they regularly offer discounts of 25-40%. For $1200 this quickly becomes a top contender for a tool watch. One down side (if you care) he didn't mention, sized for my 7.2 inch wrist it weighs 170 plus grams.
I love that blue dial , i have a BS ll coming with the wine purple dial , can't wait!
Who makes the band?
Watching in 2023 and appreciate the in depth review of this beaty. Waiting for mine to be ready at the AD asap.
I luv this style! and size
Love my new Seaholm Offshore SFC watch. Only change recommended would be to magnify the date to see. Hard to view
Wrist size please?
👌
I love the watch but what I don’t like is the super liumanova numbers I think it takes away from its old school vintage almost ww2 pilot style watch that it is. Having said that I will still buy, I must have it!
BIGGER
Hi how’s the watch now? Do you still have it?
Making the date tied to the local time is the correct way, and it's to find out this that led me watch your video, and you just specifically jumped to this point, which is very interesting. JLC in comparison likes to make the wrong configuration by setting the date tied to the home time, while when we travel to a new place, what we want to immediately know is both the local time and date, not the date at home time. What's more ridiculous is the JLC's day/night indicator on some of their dual/world time watches (e.g., their reverso), they many times are on the local time. Why do we need to know the day/night on the local time if we are already physically local..., especially if the date doesn't go with it (so we don't need to know when is a danger zone to adjust the date).
Would anyone mind recommend me more watches with this specific aesthetic style? -railroad track -arabic numbers -subdial for seconds -heated blue hands -white dial -no numbers in the railroad track
